    The Ice-type is actually useful and very strong as an offensive type. It's only a bit bad on the defensive side, because they have 5 weaknesses, which are mostly common type moves.

    But I'm stopping from here, as it's obviously off-topic, however, I welcome this discussion through Private Messaging or over threads.

    As for Ghost and Fairy, I do agree that Ghost-type moves should be super effective against Fairy-type Pokemon. (:

    Who is your favorite Ghost-type specialist? Why?

    Let me answer this in one word:
    Shauntal.
    Her team isn't the greatest, but I love her for a variety of reasons, but there's one reason that I think should be mentioned.

    For those who haven't checked out my other thread, "Favourite Elite Four and Gym Leader?", the biggest reason she's my favorite is because...

    She's left-handed.

    Reason for Joining: I like Ghost types, there's not much more to it, really.

    Who is your favorite Ghost-type specialist? Why?
    Mismagius is my favorite Ghost type Pokemon. It's kind of like Gengar, but different, if that makes any sense to you. I also really like its design.

    Trainer Class: Gym Leader because Morti does Ace Trainer count? If I recall correctly, one had a Froslass in gen 6 and that's a Ghost type. :P
    Would be cool to have a list of Trainer classes, if we're restricted to those who have Ghost types.


    What type(s) should they focus more on in future generations.
    Ghost/Fairy would be fairy interesting; Ghost/Fighting also sounds pretty cool in concept.

    Ok, new topic, it is about when did the ghosts pokemon became for you a type that you wolud like to use and what was your first?

    Mine first was a Duskull, but when I first started liking it was when i traded my scyther for a friend haunter, i started using the gengar and that thing totally killed all of the elite 4, it was my first lvl 100 poke since them ghost are obrigatory on my team, thats why I like sableye ghost and dark are my favorite typing

    If you look at Shauntal's official art, and even in the games, Shauntal is clearly left-handed.

    Admittedly, my knowledge regarding Ghost type users is pretty limited. I only know of 2 E4 members and one gym leader (though I'm aware that there's at least one other gym leader). Can I say that they are all pretty forgettable? Agatha uses a lot of non-Ghost types, Morty has a big mouth that gets shut pretty quickly by the player and who disappears into insignificane shortly after and Shauntal, who is alright, I guess? At least she stays in the E4 for the whole duration of gen 5.

    Other than that...there's a ton of uninteresting NPC trainers who use Ghost types and who don't have anything to contribute to the world they live in.Well, I guess there's this little girl in BW that tells you that Litwick take the souls of people, before she battles you with her Litwick and after you beat her, she just disappeared fooling you into the impression her soul was taken, while she just headed to the next Pokecenter. {XD}

    That is, looking at the games, of course. My knowledge about the anime and manga is pretty limited.

    It's true that Agatha uses a lot of non-ghost. I sware if people hadn't told me, I wouldv'e mistaken her for poison. (Crobat, Gengar, ect.)

    • Agatha, in my opinion, is a lame excuse for a Ghost-type Elite Four. I don't really hate her, as I kinda like old women being part of this Elite Four stuff, but what was the initial point of Game Freak to make a Ghost-type specialist when there were only three Ghost-types back then?

    - Reason for joining the club: After dark ghost is my favorite typing. I always loved how the idea of ghost pokemon cast a lowkey ominous feel to a normally cute child friendly game. Truthfully when I first joined the site I looked for a ghost club but it wasn't up yet so I'm stoked now ^^
    - Answer to a topic: Hmm it's a toss up between Cofagrigus and Mismagius. I feel like mega miss would be epic with a long flowing cloak, giant witch hat, and maybe creepy bannette esc stitches face. As for cofagrigus the coffin opens and from there I don't know that I could think up of anything to do an evolution that awesome justice.
    -Trainer Class (medium, hex maniac, ect.) Gambler. That's the icon I use on showdown and it's just my favorite overall. (specifically the HG/SS sprite) usually they use normal types or fire types but I feel like using ghosts is the proverbial ace up the sleeve.
