Born This Way

I wouldn't buy it if somebody paid me for it. I loathe Gaga with a passion.
 
I wanna buy it legally so bad. I'm still jamming to the leaked ones I got the other night. -sigh- But I do love the album, and honestly, I think I like it better than the first ones.
 
I preordered it as soon as I could, I pre-ordered the special-edition.

I am so excited to get home after school today, and I will listen to Born This Way the rest of the day!

We're supposed to get some bad thunderstorms today. Let's hope I don't die first :P

Exact same thing happening here, I can't wait till i get some money somehow so i can buy it :D
 
I listened to the leaked songs and... I dunno. They're okay, but nothing on the album except the songs I've heard a million times (aka her singles so far) really stand out to me. I really wanted to like Scheisse (sp?) but I can't staaaand the sound of spoken German so those parts of it ruin the whole song for me. ;_;

Otherwise I suppose it's a solid album but very bland, for me. I listened to it twice all the way through by accident before realizing I had it on repeat and since I didn't find myself picking out any of the songs specifically as I listened, I just didn't find it spectacular. (It has a real 80s vibe, too, and tbh, if I wanted to listen to Madonna-esque songs, I'd just listen to Madonna. :P)

It's not even real German though, its German gibberish and the whole intent of it was really just a joke on the "I don't speak German."
Its like I don't speak English but I can if you like, hamburger cheese tomato ketchup runs upon over a toad fox remote controller blanket wedge of Alaska's potassium tree trunk. lolll I love it.

I think the album as a whole is really something new to pop music and it's really great. The best on the album are Born This Way, Judas, Edge of Glory, Hair, Scheisse, and Bloody Mary. Bloody Mary is just complete genius even if its not very commercial or upbeat. Its like a horror movie to your ears 8D
 
That's kind of awesome but it still sounds like German and it's just the whole pronunciation of the language and whatnot that I dislike. :P Which is horrible, I know, but I can't help it. It's a very harsh language, I suppose.
 
I love the German gibberish. I think it sounds wonderful, I love German when being sung, I just hate it when it's spoken.

I was going to stay home today to enjoy the album, but I decided not to. Good thing too because it's 5:10 PM and UPS still hasn't dropped it off.

I hate UPS.
 
Was anyone else disappointed with Government Hooker? I loved the remix but I wasn't feeling the real song. :l

Americano and Bloody Mary are amazing <3
 
Naturally, I bought the album before midnight since it appeared on the iTunes store around 11:20 EST here in the US. I was up counting it down and getting excited with some internet friends as well as about four offline friends! The album itself sends me to the 80's and 90's. I know some people find some similarities from the songs on it, but I do think she took a step further with the production process than just mocking up sounds from that time. I'm indifferent to the statement that it's never been done before, because it has and it hasn't... But none of these songs are boring to me, and I find something interesting about them with each new listen. Flawless masterpiece sent from the heavens for me to dance and be inspired to! Praise her light! Born to Slay!

I've only heard a snippet of Government Hooker's official version so far, but I agree. The remix sounded so..dark and pop at the same time. The song snippet I heard..is not like that at all.

I might just have to get the remix. :P

The only song I don't like at all is Americano. It's this albums Alejandro for me.

I don't like Spanish, I hate the way it sounds, and the song sounds..weird to me.

I stayed up till midnight counting down to it's official release last night with some friends online, but I didn't purchase it until earlier this morning. One reason why I enjoy this album so much though is because it brings back what made Pop music so enjoyable during the 80's and 90's. And while some of it may sound familiar, even I felt a sense of similarity between past songs while listening, you still get something different out of it in my opinion. I also feel like you still get some of her flavor from The Fame and The Fame Monster while still getting a taste of something totally new from her in Born This Way; which is what I love.

I was asked today what my favorite song off the album was, and I started with 'Marry The Night' and before I knew it, I was listing all the tracks from the album. If that says anything at all, it means I've really been enjoying the album to its fullest.

One thing I noticed, and it may just be me, but the man's voice in 'Government Hooker' reminds me of Arnold Schwarzenegger. Just saying.
 
I absolutely love it. Gaga has outdone herself. Aside from her singles, which we all love, I cant stop listening to Marry the Night, Bloody Mary, Fashion of His Love, and You and I. Americano and Bad Kids are growing on me too. The others are fantastic too, which is why, as you can see, its so hard to pick a favourite. Some are disappointing, like Government Hooker and Sheisse, I think the remixes were better. Unfortunately im only listening to a pirated version, but tomorrow im going afterschool to physically buy the special edition, cant wait! Love gaga, lil monsters put your paws up! <3

I assumed it was John F Kennedy. I mean, "put your hands on me, John F Kennedy" kinda implied...yeah. lol Also, Americano I actually hated at first. It's grown on my though and I really like it~ But like Landorus, I thought it was this album's Alejandro.
