It will be a lot to take in at first. But if you are trying to start out with a specific pokemon, look up the pokemon and find out what it's egg moves are.
The best way that I can explain it to you myself, is that if you wanted... say... a Aegislash with Wide Guard. To get that, you need a pokemon in the same Egg Group as Aegislash that can learn that move somehow. Sometimes it means doing a long breeding chain to get it, but that isn't always the case. With that Aegislash, all you need to do is get a Probopass, who gets Wide Guard through level up in ORAS, and breed a Male Probopass with Wide Guard in it's move Set and a Female Aegislash (because the female pokemon determines the species unless you are breeding with a Ditto.) And then breed them together and you'll get your Aegislash with Wide Guard.
And in X you need to have all the O Powers if I'm not mistaken, then you can find the guy to get it. If not that, then you need to learn all the tricks for the Roller Scates, which can be found all over Kalos. Googling them is probably the best option.
