There's a few nice ideas in there! but I don't really want the challenge to require a randomizer. I'm keeping it open to player's choice. I will probably take gender-lock, no dual type and I want something with the alphabet... Still thinking about that.

The point was to make it completely possible to play using only your cartridge. If people want to randomize stuff, they are still allowed to. As well as some people choosing their own order of rules and other randomizing them, that's all fine!

That's just opening up more possibilities, which is Always good imo. Challenge will be posted in like 3 weeks, when I'm back from holidays, so I can actually manage the thread too :p.

Hello there, welcome to this newchallenge! Unlike most challenge around here, you will not be following onespecific set of rules. Rather, the rules tend to change during the game! Therewill be a set of challenge rules. You start with one set of rules, but you haveto switch to another set of rules after every gym, up until you beat the EliteFour. This means you will have played with 9 different set of rules during yourgame.



The sets of rules are:



1) Monotype:

You have to choose one type. You canonly battle using Pokemon of your chosen type, until you beat the next gym.



2) Nuzlocke:

Every Pokemon that faints is considereddead and must be released, or permanently boxed. This remains into effect untilyou have beaten the next gym. (Pokemon that fainted during this period may NOTbe taken out of the box after the next gym, you cannot use them anymore in thewhole playthrough.)



3) No item:

You are not allowed to use any kind ofitem (except HM or key item), until you have beaten the next gym.



4) NFE:

You may not use any fully evolvedPokemon. This means that all Pokemon in your team should still be able toevolve, but are not allowed to evolve in the meanwhile.



5) Monocolor:

You must choose one color. Use onlyPokemon of that color to battle.



6) Solo:

Choose one Pokemon. Use only thatPokemon to play and beat the next gym.



7) Gender lock:

You may use only Pokemon from onegender, or only genderless Pokemon.



8) Type-familiar:

Your Pokemon may only use moves of theirown type. For example, Pidgey may only use Normal or Flying type moves.



9) Alphabetical:

The Pokemon in your team must be in alphabeticalorder. For example, if you have a team of Abra, Bonsly, Carvanha, Carnivine,Zubat and Feraligatr, the order of your party would be: Abra, Bonsly,Carnivine, Carvanha, Feraligatr, Zubat. They should also be sent out in thisorder. So if Abra faints, Bonsly must be sent out next.



Now, there are a few ways you could playthis challenge. Firstly, you could choose the rules yourself, taking any orderyou want. Secondly, you could use a randomizer to randomize the rules, whichadds a little bit of a surprise.



The rules:

1) No cheating.

2) The run ends after beating the leaguein all games. It is optional to do the postgame, this includes Kanto in G/S/Cor HG/SS.

3) You must use every rule exactly onetime. (Exactly two if you want to do the Kanto section of G/S/C or HG/SS.

When I first played Sapphire, I thought Brawly was a Water Gym Leader because his sign outside the gym says something about crashing and I thought of crashing waves, lmao.

Syd can read the future O.o Water gym one gen later revolving around crashing waves.

You know what would be fun? =3 To have a challenge in which you gotta play as Ash - Ash almost always uses the type that's weak to the one he is fighting and he almost always wins because he believes in his pokemon xD By the way thanks to that person who came up with challenges xD If there were no challenges I'd die because of boredom before I get my paws on x and y - I already played every game/hack there is :/

I'm pretty sure you could just use the Anime character challenge for something like that, right?

Syd, when is the event in August gonna be confirmed? I feel like doing a challenge but if I do, I won't have any more cartridges to play with @_@

Gym disadvantage challenge sounds fun to me :3 I'll defenitely try that out :3 And anime character challenge aswell as soon as I am done with these that I am doing right now ^_^

So I'm planning on making a challenge which was heavily influenced by the Oh my god Challenge. I'll base it on the main gods of Olympus and with each god, you'll be restricted to only some certain types and I'll also add in some clauses to each god as well :)

What do you guys think of the idea of it?
