What alignment do you think you are? Try to be objective:

Why do you think you are that alignment:

    True story examples?:

Please try not to make your answers too short. I for one will love reading the answers.

Alright, brief history lesson on what I'm talking about and how it relates to the thread. I'm sure just about everyone has heard about Dungeons & Dragons. In D&D, a roleplaying game, you create your own character and it has an alignment that represents it's personality.

There are 9 alignments in total. Also, feel free to learn about alignments using BATMAN and THE INTERNET!!!

Read the spoiler if you want a description of each alignment (Read if you aren't sure!)

    Spoiler:

I'll be answering this for myself soon, as I can't quite think up a response of the quality I want at this second.

I picked lawful good even tho I meant to pick chaotic good.

Depending on my surroundings, I range from Neutral Good to Lawful Neutral.

On PC, I tend to be Neutral Good most of the time, devolving to a Chaotic Good whenever someone Evil pops up and threatens.

In extreme situations, I can even become a Chaotic Neutral. When this side of me is unleashed, it's not pleasant for me nor is it any fun for people around me. x3

I don't bind myself to one alignment because my personality is not a predictable one. Oftentimes I can change alignments without any warning at all.

I suppose I'd be neutral good. I always joke about breaking the law to go do something illegal with my friends (and I won't list those things at this moment lol), but I never actually do it because it's just bad. Yet at the same time, I'm not such a religious follower of rules that I won't bend them to do something right. Neutral good is in between lawful and chaotic good, so I guess that just about sums me up. =D

I remember this one time I had to help my friend finish a project before it was due. It was a big project, a poster on the processes of Meiosis, and being due tomorrow she wasn't done with it at all. I ditched the school day to help her finish it. We turned it in the next day as partners and received full credit. ^^ Ditching is bad but it was ok here, in my opinion.

I idolize chaotic good characters in fiction, but I tend to be more chaotic neutral myself, slowly drifting towards the evil end of things as my life gets more and more trampled upon by the RL lawful evils in the world. >_>

    I like this thread :D

I would say I'm Chaotic Neutral. I'm a free spirited person that doesn't like to be tied down my rules or certain guidelines. I will do wheter neccessary to complete the goal I aim for wether it be good or evil.
Breaking the rules or helping out someone, as long as I complete my goal I really don't care.

Maybe I could also be Lawful Neutral as well. I like that there are rules to prevent certain disaster, I mean what good is a society without rules, but its mainly as you put it "the letter of the law not the spirit."

Those are the two I believe I fit in but I would say I'm more Chaotic Neutral than Lawful Neutral.

I can't pick between Neutral Good and True Neutral...

I mean, I'm willing to bend the rules to make something "right,"and I'm always willing to do the right thing, but I also prefer to look at both sides of EVERYTHING before making a decision. Plus I'm practically unheard of.

Somewhere between Neutral Good and Lawful Good. I have my own very strict moral code and I do not break it for anything. But it doesn't coincide with society's laws.

However, I would not be a Neutral Good either because I would be very reluctant to bend my moral code for "special" circumstances. "They do not feel that the ends ever justifies the means." <-- this.

If you really need an example, one example is giving up my degree because I will not experiment or tamper with life of any kind. End of story. Consequences: ridicule, criticism, loss of companionship, etc. I don't care, to be quite frank, if people do not respect my choices.

The only situation I would break my moral code is to keep myself or someone else alive, or out of imprisonment in the case of war-like attack, and even then it would depend greatly upon weighing up the consequences.

All of the above. Lacking out one would imbalance my life. (b~_^)b

This is a question I often ask myself. Alignments are pretty cool. I don't play D&D, but I find it to be a very interesting concept.

For the most part, I am neutral good. I strive to help people when possible and do what I can to aid others when they're in trouble.

I admit, though, when I get behind a computer screen, I become more of a chaotic neutral. I sometimes disregard what is right or what is wrong and just do whatever gives me the most satisfaction, and a lot of that tends to come from stirring up trouble.

I don't know how I feel about this. I try not to do anything too bad, but it's hard to resist the temptation to screw with people.

Alright, so I came to a conclusion. Those who know me and make an effort to keep the friendship healthy (A few backwards people don't do this.) will immediately call me Chaotic Good.

Those that know me WELL and make a strong effort to keep the friendship in top shape will wind up coming to the conclusion that I am this weird fusion of Lawful Good and Chaotic Good. (Lawful and Chaos are opposites, and I kid you not that I am both.)

However, those who know me and make little to no effort to maintain the friendship will find that I appear True Neutral.

Even stranger so, those who know me WELL and make little effort or even worse, harm the friendship, will quickly find that I am capable of Neutral Evil

At my core, I am Neutral Evil. Strip me down to my basics and remove things that otherwise twist and change me and I am not a very likable person, at all. This is why I revert back to Neutral Evil when put under too much strain, because the things that change me lose focus.

Given present society though, I am most accurately called Neutral Good, though it's far more complex than that.

Not to question your judgment, but you seem pretty clearly chaotic good to me. =3

After all, unpredictability and the illusion of change are a sign of chaos.

All of the above. Lacking out one would imbalance my life. (b~_^)b
    True neutral is true neutral!

To be honest, I have no idea what I am, except that I'm not lawful. I tend todo things without planning so maybe Chaotic something would make sense. But, I don't think I'm a psychopath, but I like being evil sometimes. But then again, when I'm not in a bad mood, I'm rather helpful than hurting.
Ranging between Neutral Evil and Chaotic Good? Doesn't make sense to me...

Ok, just because I'm interested, I made some kind of test. The outcome: Chaotic Neutral.
    Spoiler:

As I said, not very lawful. I would have thought I'd get some more points on good though... Ah, well...

Chaotic good. Other people may think my actions are not "good", but in my mind, I am always doing the right thing.

I chose Chaotic Good and Chaotic Neutral.

But I often do what is right in my standards, not societies. I guess that's my chaotic good. Society can kiss my ass. And that's my chaotic neutral. I don't know how else to explain it because you probably looked at this and thought that I wasn't one of the two. But oh well. Down with the man, man!

    Chaotic Good
These people want to do what is right but they do not do it with any real structure or system. They are perfectly willing to break the law to do what is right, and some even enjoy doing just that. The best time to play a chaotic good character is when there is a lawful evil authority to rebel against. Without such a target for a rebellion many chaotic good characters are indistinguishable from neutral good characters. A hacker who uses his skills to take down child pornography sites is chaotic good, willfully breaking the law to do good. Robin Hood is the most famous example of chaotic good.

This is most likely me. A lot of people perceived me to be a Lawful/Neutral Good at school until there was something that stoked my ire, and then it was breaky breaky rule time. One example would be when a teacher unfairly kept two of my friends behind in class even though it had been someone else's fault - I distracted the teacher by asking about some extra work whilst they made their getaway.

Depending on the interpretation of "good" I believe I'm either Neutral Good or True Neutral. I've taken two of those alignment quizzes and they both came out with True Neutral, so I think that's more of where I lean to.

Some people's definitions of "good" in the D&D sense tend to class it as intentfully trying to help society or other people and class "neutral" (on the good/evil axis) as not worrying about bettering (or worsening) the world as a whole but rather putting your energy only towards yourself and/or those closest to you. By this definition I'm True Neutral.

If "good" means that one does things because one believes they are the rightful thing to do (and "neutral" means that one does things without a good or an evil intent attached), then I am Neutral Good, though True Neutral could work here, too.

On the Lawful/Chaotic axis I am definitely neutral because while I tend to be a rule-follower, I am also flexible and open to questioning it if it doesn't seem right, rather than rigidly and blindly following everything.

My boyfriend's a D&D nerd (and I've played a few times with him and his pals) so we've totally had this discussion (he considers himself Chaotic Neutral, which I'd say is accurate X3) <3

I'd say I'm between Chaotic Good and Neutral Good.

I have my own set of values. They do not always align with the law, but I do think I'm definitely on the "good" side.

But really I am no rebel and actually don't like to break the law. In fact to most people I'm "too innocent" because I don't illegally download any music nor do I illegally download anime/manga. And I never had a single drink before I turned 21 this last December. In fact I didn't have one until St. Patrick's Day. =P

People think I'm ridiculous because of those things. lol. So there is a "lawful" side to me, but it can be somewhat pushed to the side temporarily for anime/manga. Will I ever download them? No. But I can't say I see lawful as 100% right in those cases. I don't want to be fenced off from obscure unlicensed titles that will never be licensed. Fortunately I don't run into that too often, and the "lawful" side of me gives me the need to import the Raws if I do.

So yeah, people probably think I'm ridiculous. I don't care. I have little to no respect for the people who are radicals on either side, to be honest.
