City or Country?

    Inspired by a discussion in the Daily Chit-Chat.

    Where would you like to live? The country or the city? Maybe somewhere in-between? Why?

    I'd live somewhere in-between. Enough country that I'm not crammed in with a bunch of people, but enough city that I'm close to theatre and grocery stores, etc. Plus, I need to be close enough to the city to have strong internet for school. (Online school -- yay!)

    I'm a city boy. I can't live without things to do. The every-so-often store type thing they've got going on in the country won't cut it for me. I need places to go, with people to go with. Sure, you get these huge houses in the Country for the price of a small/average sized one here in the city, but who wants to stay cooped up in the house all day? :x

    The City is where it's at.

    Besides, if you're implying that you live on a farm and stuff in the country, farms aren't me. I went to a farm once in Cameron, and well... let's just say I found better things to do than take care of them animals. >_>;
     
    I'm a city boy well i used to live in quite suburbs.Now i live in the city but i don't like it due to noise.
     
    Country.

    I hate loud places, even though I don't live in the city or the country, it's pretty quiet where I live and that's the way I like it~ <3
     
    I wouldn't mind living in a suburban area or the city, although I'm paranoid when being driven about in the cities, always think the skyscrapers are about to collapse [rational thought has no control over some fears] on me or we'll all crash and... yeah. Plus my social skills are so underdeveloped that I'd probably find living in a city very overwhelming. Maybe it's a grass-is-greener-on-the-other-side thing that gives the city so much allure, and to some, the country such charm... I live in the country, and always have lived in country towns, and I hate it. I hate the lack of resources; I hate everyone knowing who I am; I hate the lack of options; I hate the whole farmer/hick thing this town has got going on for it. Ew. It's just gross, really. At least we have sort-of fresh air, which is a good thing. ^_^;;; And, I mean, I see trees when I go outside. But, to me, my future's always going to be in a city... better schooling, and eventually my career. I don't think there's much opportunity for an epidemiologist out in the sticks, but maybe for a public health officer. *shrug*
     
    I couldn't live in the country. I have always lived in a city and I am used to all the noise and busyness. It doesn't bother me at all. Living in the country would mean that there isn't as much to do and not as many people around. I like having people around and the noise of the cars.
     
    THE CITY ♥

    I grew up in a major city and I loooove it so much, the atmosphere and the surrondings are always interesting. Plus, I hate quiet, I like having some noise around me and the city provides that. Plus there's always things to do and places to go, etc.

    My mom grew up on a farm and I just don't see what's so great about about a bunch of space. Even if it does look very nice.
     
    hmm, well maybe a in between. Though I'll have to say the city. I'm not one for downtown areas cause they're just to blah.
    But I'm used to living in the city and I enjoy it, everythings somewhere so there's tones of oppertunities.
     
    I like suburbia, but since I'm in the suburbs of a big city, it's pretty much a city itself. :D

    I love big cities. After living in Toronto for so long, I'm not sure if I could live anywhere rural or in a small city. I love being close to absolutely everything. @_@;
     
    My ideal living place would be in a quiet suburb, where there's no crime and little hustle and bustle of city life, but where I can get into the city within a 10 minute drive or so and get to all the stores/services I'd ever want. So...yeah. I kinda like both, but I wouldn't actually want to live right smack in the middle of a big city. :x

    Though, a city on the moon would also be good.

    If the lunar punk bands are good, that is.
     
    Somewhere in between, because that way I wouldn't have to stand all the noise and mess of the cities, but still, I wouldn't have to live in a place in the middle of nowhere with just the mountains as my friends. As long as there'd be some green and still electricity reachs there, I'd be happy :)

    Which is neither a city or the contrie, so i chose somewhere in the middle! :D
     
    City <3 I grew up in a pretty large city, but not close enough to walk to anything. We have to drive everywhere D: I'd prefer living somewhere that has stores within walking or subway distance. But, I'm also used to country landscape, since we have had a mountain house since I was like, three. It's nice in the country, but I don't think I would get used to being away from stores and people all the time :x
     
    I'm a country girl
    although lately I'm into more of a beach community with lots of condos and gravel instead of grass.
    I'm still a country girl. I'm less than 40 miles away from Manhattan but my area's so quiet, the SQUIRRELS seem loud. Also, in my area we have lots of greenery. I guess I just like nature more.

    And nothing beats driving through the country mid summer during a nice sunny day, whether it's the forest or the plains. Also, the lakes in the country you can swim in without worrying about pollution.

    IMO, the city's overrated

    As I had said in the DCC, I would much rather prefer the country. The city is too intimidating with all of the cars and people. Everything about it seems just... way too busy and stressful. Though, I wouldn't mind living closer to the city, seeing as there are more things to do there.
