5th Gen Clash of the Sequels!

It has been roughly 2 years since the release of Pokemon Black Version 2 and Pokemon White Version 2. So the question is, which version do you prefer?

They were both good in their own right, but personally, something about these games just didn't seem to click with me, sorry to say. In some way, their plot seemed to have been a rehash of original Black and White, and although it could be argued that playing these are better than going through a third-installment with same, exact story-line, I still feel that they could have done a little better. Had their story been more distinct, I believe these games could have gone a much longer path, which would have been great.

As for which version I prefer, I'd say I would have to side with Black 2, as it allows us to get a hold of Black-Kyurem (which I'm a big fan of) before White (doesn't it?).

Yeah but still not til post game. You can only get white by trading in a Reshiram.

I personally liked White 2 a lot, and have played both games from start to finish. I have to say I liked the ruins as opposed to the nice village on Route 4. Plus I much prefer having Electivire over Magmortar and I always liked White Kyurem more than Black Kyurem. Black Kyurem's arms are too slim and long for its fat body.

I loved Black 2 better of the duo, but it was such a shame my save file corrupted (and I don't know how to reset a corrupted file). But at least it's making me give White 2 a chance now, so that I have the experience of both games.

White 2 for me. There were the ruins of Route 4 which were something else, and I liked the exclusives more (particularly White Kyurem), and the lava filled Reversal Mountain was cooler to me than the water filled one.

Black 2 is still pretty solid though, I do not have two copies of both games for nothing.

Black 2 gets my vote. Most of the version differences don't matter to me much (like the different building on Route 4, the difference between the Opelucid cities, exclusive non-legendaries, etc), but I like Black City more than White Forest, and you also get Zekrom in the game, sooooooooooo....

Though I have to admit that the lava-filled Reversal Mountain of White 2 sounds way cooler than the Reversal Mountain of Black 2.

Unfortunately Black 2 didn't have the interesting ruins on Route 4. The lava filled reversal mountain on White 2 was also cool. But, can't pass by Zekrom

I only got Pokemon Black 2 from my sister and didn't play it much, buuut from what I can tell it's pretty cool. :D

White looks awesome too, but the only thing it's really got going for it is the Legendary.

I don't really care about versions that much, since I don't use the Legendaries. :P

Although Black was my main game, the only sequel I bought was White 2. I didn't care for the version differences except for obtaining Latias, which I never caught yet..... Hmm... ideas..... for a shiny...

For me personally it has to be White 2 :) Mainly cause it just seemed a lot prettier to me, scenery wise (like the lava-filled place over water, as you get water in a lot of areas and it was a little more unique and plus, Fire's my favourite type so it was just awesome to see lava everywhere) and also that place with the greenhouses, actually getting to see the plants instead of the greenhouse buildings was a nice change :)


I don't know too much about the exclusives cause I had Black and then my sequel was White 2 so I got the best of both worlds but White 2 DID have Reshiram (my preferred mascot) so that's another point in its favour :)
