Started journey, And got Cyndaquil calling it Volcano, and professor elm asked me to go to mister Pokemon house, i wondered why, but he then told me, i started on my way till the women on the outskirts of town told me to tell my mother, so i went and told her but she told me that my PokèGear was repaired and gave it to me and then i went out of town, grinding wild Pokemon along the way till i was in cherrygrove city, where, a nice old man took me on a tour of the town and taught me about the main buildings, after the tour he gave me a new pair of running shoes, i thanked him and went on my way but before i left and uploaded the map card on my PokèGear and i thanked him again and walked on to mr Pokemons house and along the way found another house and went inside, i was given an Apricorn box to collect Apricorns, and i went further to my destination, and grinding more wild pokemon along the way till i got there.

how did you do it that quick?

If you're talking to me, my VBA runs at 3000%-5000% speed, so I usually finish in no more than a few hours, combine that with staying up all night and drinking, I can get challenges done quick. :D

I finished Aggron on Black 2. :)

I used Pokegen to move my IV bred Aron over from White 2 at the beginning of the game at level 1.
31 IVs in HP, Attack, and Speed, having Head Smash, Iron Head, and Screech.

I'm using an emulator on my phone with a ROM that I changed so I could start with Raikou. Nothing else was changed.

So far, so good. Brennan has Mudkip so I don't anticipate this being difficult as far as rival battles are concerned. My only frustration is that Raikou levels very slowly. I also started with Bite and Growl, and Bite isn't very effective against the massive amount of Poochyena I've encountered. :( Slowly but surely...

eighth gym done!

raichu setup a light screen... than fainted.
ambipom baton passed to luxray, which gave azurill a free hit.
luxray used thunder wave, activating the cheri berry... then fainted.
ambipom used agility, which was pointless since it was faster already.
a full restore was used, but again, it fainted.
octilerry crit ooktazooka, but barely survived.
bullet seed did practically nothing... except give me the badge.


EDIT: also... azurill can learn only 3 physical moves of different types. should I keep or replace blizzard with maybe toxic?

So, things I learned today. Playing through Pokemon FireRed using the fast forward button on VBA, is now a nightly leisure activity. At least in a solo challenge, I cleared the game in a little over 2 hours. I had to grind to 16 before Brock, since the trainer before Brock forced me to struggle cause my only offensive move was tackle and his geodude ate all my PP. Once that happened though, Vaporeon was off, and never looked back until the very end. Only a couple of close calls in the elite 4 due to me being overconfident and careless.

I will probably be moving on to HeartGold next, see how much harder it is when I have to take down Red with his level 80 pokemon. Vaporeon is just amazing though!

Update #3: Mew - Fire Red
Solo runs with legendaries are even easier than regular Pokémon and I honestly don't really like Mew (or any legendary actually), but I've made it my goal to do as much solo runs as possible.

#Update- Just got through the first gym, since Raichu doesn't learn any moves in pokemon Yellow I had to level him up to 19, use up all of my PP's from thundershock, growl and thunder wave and beat brock with struggle, took me three potions.

#Update 2- Finished the game.

HM Slaves: Bellsprout - cut, Doduo - fly, Lapras - Surf & Strength.
Whiteouts: 2 - First at level 23 a zubat got me with his confusion... Second at Giovanni's with lucky critical earthquake.

Pokemon Yellow upgrade v2.0 offers items like MasterBalls, Max Ethers/Elixirs and PP Ups for free in the "big shop" (that's how I call it :D), I haven't bought a single one in my run.

So yeah. Bred a Shiny Ditto with another Charizard, and waited until I got a Shiny Charmander (just 1 in 64! That's ridiculously easy!)

Charmander used Ember and burned the Pidgeotto to win.

Charmeleon Headbutted and got a few flinches on Miltank. It gets an EXP boost because it is traded.
