    So someone has posted a comment on one of my posts, and I'd like to know who. Is there any way of finding out?

    I'm sure there have been at least several replies to your posts. I don't believe there is a real way to find out.

    You can always subscribe to a thread but usually you get notified of updates to your thread regardless of whether the new posts are replies to yours or not.

    The only way of knowing is getting modded or hoping that person tells you. Otherwise, I'm afraid there isn't D:

    @Eon-Rider: He was asking about someone using the post comment feature (old reputation system), not about someone replying to his posts ^^;

    Oh well, I think I'll just ask the person I think it is straight. If it isn't them it doesn't really matter anyway.
    Thanks for the help :)

    Ah, I see. Crap.

    I completely forgot that feature even existed. =\

    I'd like to add that there is a reason to why you can't see who posted the comment. It's best if you don't know the person who posted the comment, because "ignorant fools" might be angered by a comment containing constructive critism or whatever angers the "ignorant fools". So the ability to find out who posted the comment ruins the point, kinda.

    I can see why now you say that.
    But they did "swear" so it's annoying.

    Well, for me, I'd really like to be able to see who commented, because I just hate it when someone comments negatively on my opinion.

    And that's the entire reason you cannot see who commented. It would cause flames to be tossed about and make people afraid to comment negatively, defeating the whole purpose of the system.

    Generally, you should just ignore negative comments. Unless the message is obviously flaming you, it's nothing to worry about. I pay very little attention to those things, and all members ought to feel the same about it now that there's no number or rating attached to it.

    That being said, I do check mine from time to time and only take note of the constructive ones. The rest, I just laugh at. People who aren't giving helpful or constructive comments are worth laughing at anyway. (And believe me, I always have a good laugh when I get some negative comment from a random nub.)

    Just have a good humor about it, is all I can advise. Usually, chances of being modded are very slim, and most people don't identify themselves as the commenter. (They usually only sign comments that are nice anyway.)
