My relatives are all in Saskatchewan. My dad's side is in one city and my mom's side is in another city about an hour and a half away. Only a few individual families on either side live outside that province. (That'd be us, my uncle in Victoria, BC, my aunt in Germany, my other aunt who lives in the same city as me, and my uncle out in South Korea.) xD

And yeah, it's an awful time to go especially since for years later Christmas reminds you of the loss. x_x; It was my mom's mom and certain carols she can't even listen to anymore because of it. :([/depressing]
Heh. XD Well, to be exact my mother's side is on the east coast. My father's side... all freaking over the place, some on the east coast as well. @_@ I don't even know where half of them live anymore. Guess that's supposed to happen when communications die after divorces. XD "So how's Maine?" "Uh Ryan dear, I live in NC now. ):"

Too true. D:

Ahaha, that's about how in-tune with my relatives as I am. Except they don't move--they just pop out kids or something. :(

Earlier this year, I think, my mom was like "so your Aunt Sook had her baby last night and it was the LARGEST baby that hospital in Korea had ever seen." My response, "wait, what? She was pregnant!?"

Haha, exactly! We have no clue what happens outside the near-by / contact-every-day-grandparents. XD

One time about 3 years ago, we went to my father's side family reunion. I literally knew two people out of like a sixty. :| It was insane, I never knew these people existed. XD

Oh wow. XD;

There was a family reunion on my dad's side last year but... my uncle who hosted it went to great lengths to research the family tree and contacted lots of people we didn't even know who were part of the bloodline or whatever. There were like a 100 of us and I barely knew anyone. It was HILARIOUS to see this one guy hitting on my cousin though. XD Sure, not closely related but... isn't that a no-no at a family reunion of any sort!?

Bwahaha! XD; That's just too good. Although that'd creep me out if it was me. XD Our family reunion was a blur, everyone was running around talkin', chattin', and eatin'. I just sat down had my food 'n' shook hands all day. XD No way can I remember people either.

It creeped us out too but we decided to remember it moreso as amusing than creepy. (My cousin insists he was just a nice person and wasn't hitting on her but oh gooood it was so obvious. XD)

I pretty much spent the whole time shaking hands, introducing myself too. (I had my great-grandfather's name memorized at the time to say whose kid's kid's kid I was and that's about all I said.) Eating was a good pasttime too.

Family reunions can be fun, if it's with people that you actually like. x_x

And now, members are going to get crazy over emblems. I guarantee you they will break rules, and their necks to get at least one.

I doubt that ;p. And about three weeks ago I recently had a family reunion,it become seriously a mess.

If I ever go to like a gathering with all of my family there, I have like two cousins that I hang out with, they are both sorta close to my age so we just keep to ourselves while everyone is running around the random mess of reunion-extravaganza. xD

I've been to one family reunin. It was in a park and I got trapped in the toilet. I had no phone credit and it was too far away to shout :P I managed to get out eventually but it sucked.
I only really mess around with one cousin of mine.

I've never been to a family reunion. o.o

All my family live overseas.. And my parents keep in contact with them a lot.

Unless the trip I took over there counts as a reunion, since there was a party and stuff?

We sort of have a family reunion sometime around Christmas. Two years ago, we went over Christmas eve night and had a party. It was fun, since it was the side of the family that I like. XD And they had a chocolate fountain, so that of course, won me over. This year we're having it Christmas morning at my Aunt's house, so let's hope she brings the chocolate fountain again. XD

Haha, why do family reunions always have that strawberry chocolate fountain? XD

We don't have any family reunions planned on my mother's side of the family for a while. Although I know a lot of them anyway.

What is this "family" that you speak of?

Most of my family lives in the same town, so when you went to Walmart you would see them, no need for a reunion.

But now that town is 600 miles away, so I am planning on going back at some point for a "reunion," but under the disguise of "visiting."

I haven't gone up to visit my family in Virginia in about... six months. ._.; And we're not going up for Christmas so it'll be a while before that happens.

And you used to see family members at the store? That'd just be weird for me. :x

That or when you go to eat, or driving down the road, luckly we don't have a really large family...

I would see somebody at least once a week, it was not an every day thing.

Ah'kay, that's better. XD; Glad it's not like "I can't get away from family members ;_;"

My grandmother calls us just about everyday so it's kinda like we see them. >__>;

Yeah I see my family like... once a year. Though now it's more like once every two years. @_@;; It would be SO weird running into them regularly, haha. We've run into my aunt/cousin once or twice while living here but... that's in the entire 7 years we've lived here. XD
