They do, for the people who welcome them. First impressions count for a lot :D And if they see a lot of people welcoming them, then they'd see the forum as a welcoming place. Would they not?

While if they saw only one or two people welcoming them, they see them as welcoming people :D

But y'know they could get over enthusiastic and... in turn, new members see PC as a place that is desperate for people?

Although I agree that the more people that welcome someone the better, if someone doesn't want to welcome people, they're only going to appear insincere and post-farming spammers. Can't you see that Nica wants posts the honest way? Which is disussing the epic rivalry between Pirates and Ninjas, of course. That can be a new thread for here? Or maybe just OVP...

Ninjas are just plain awesome. It's obvious that Ninjas are superior to Pirates because they probably could kill a Pirate anyday. Also, I think Naruto is better than One Piece.

I definitely prefer ninjas. They are awesome. I've never really cared much for pirates for some reason.
