To be completely honest, on my very first forum I asked how to become a mod xD ;;
 
People that make threads and blogs like; "Do you guys all hate me!?" are annoying.
 
Well it was quite nice actually.. everybody who replied on the thread weren't actually rude or humiliating, they just told me things like: "Behave & post appropriately" :)

As long as you stay out of certain sections, you generally get to avoid idiots.

I admin a small forum and I get the occasional noob asking to be a Mod, but we generally encourage members to apply if they honestly think they're up to it. Except we've been down for a few days, as some try-hard script-kiddie screwed things up.
 
I meant sight >.< Dammit. I admin a forum with almost 15,000 posts which is quite nice.
 
I live in OG really.

But it is a little annoying when you try to talk about different games and all people know is SSBB or LoZ.
They might be alright games, but it is hard to talk about them all the time T_T
 
I think asking for applications for staff positions are just a bit... stupid. If you as an admin see someone who is worthy of being a part of the team you should be asking them. Opening yourself up for applications will result in too many people who aren't up for the job, and it just ends up being a waste of time.
 
Other Games is a decent forum but needs a little more attention.. I think the threads in there are a little cliché.. if it got a little more active, I'd be in there a lot more ;)

That's true when you start getting a much bigger forum like PC, but it works fine at my forum. You might not realise that people are keen to do it, which can be a great opportunity. I'm not suggesting it for a second here, but if you were to do it, you could filter out the majority of idiots with minimum postcounts, etc. It works for smaller forums, but big forums usually have a better selection for potential staff, as well as more people who don't fit the bill and might ask anyway. I can see exactly what you mean. :D

OG's greats, but yeah, it's hard to do much when there's not a lot going on. There's always a KH/FF/LoZ fanclub and a few other threads, but it needs some good, meaty postage :cer_nod:
