Oh my earthquakes are scary as well(I seen them on tv). I tell you wherever you live you have to deal with a natural disaster sooner or later. The scariest for me are Tornados and Hurricanes. D: I don't like them at all. Earthquakes will be my third, but I haven't experience one yet.

I agree with you Akasuna no Sasori. :>
 
the discussion is on living through natural disasters? well Ok, I guess I could list a few of my perilous moments.
Hurricane Charlie: I was on vacation in South Carolina at the time. I slept through it. 0_o
Tornado: never a full tornado, though I've seen a pack of about 4-5 funnel clouds start to come down out my back door
earthquake: nothing major, just 2s or 3s on the Richter scale. (I saw the chandeliers in my church sanctuary swinging one morning)
I think that covers it. I've lived through a lot. the worst of which wasn't even a natural disaster, but I won;t bore you squeamish types with the details.
 
National Disasters, huh?
Well... I live in Indiana, so I mostly only see tornadoes.

To tell the truth, I haven't really seen all that many. I lived through one tornado back around six years ago, but since then no tornadoes have come into contact with me. I suppose I'm just lucky that way.

Whoa you guys are very lucky. I been lucky myself. It will be times that a hurricane almost hit where I live, but at the last minute it will move above or below us. Here are some that almost hit where I am.

Huricane Rita and Brett: Rita was the scariest one I ever seen. I had to evacuate to Austin before Rita hit. Didn't hit where I live...no even a since raindrop. XD Brett, back in 1999...it was the first hurricane I dealt with in the year I lived in South Coastal Texas. Moved down there in 1998. The hurricane moved west of us, so got lucky there too.

But in 2005 Louisiana got the worst hurricane of all time...Hurricane Katrina. At that one point it was moving towards were I live too. But it moved to Louisiana. That was a bad hurricane...

Natural disasters. i use to live in kansas, no tornadoes though :(

I now live in southeastern New Mexico, I am a storm spotter, one day i was chasing a storm west of Roswell, and spawned a weak tornado a half of a mile in fort of me, i was so mesmerized by the funnel that i almost didnt even noticed the debris cloud. once i did i realized it was headed for me!! i panicked and though the car in revers gunned it did a turn at like 2o miles and hour in reverse crammed the car into drive and romped it, i have never been so scared in my life.

I can't believe you were that close to a tornado and got away without a scratch! That makes you pretty darn lucky! One went by my school back when I was in sixth grade, but that's about my only experience.
(It was scary enough, though.)
 
The "tornado" was a little stronger than a dust devil. thank god it had a live span of about 10 seconds. it landed on the west side of town and started moving east north east. if it had lasted a minutes longer it would of hit some houses. unofficial rating EF-0.

Well, because this seems to have died just a little, allow me to start a new topic!

What "group" do you consider youself a part of?
(Jock, Nerd, Goth, etc...)

If you are not currently enrolled in school, what did you consider youself?

I consider myself a nerd. However, it's not a bad thing where I live. I consider myself a nerd for two reasons. One, I'm really handy when it comes to computer hardware, and two, I suppose I do really well in school. Being a nerd doesn't necessarily mean that you have no friends, because I seem to have quite a few! xD

I don't really think I'm in a "group". I have a good amount of friends, but not like heaping amounts, and they're from all over the social spectrum (that word made me sound like a total dork).
 
I can see where you are coming from there.
When I'm in school I will interact with people from different groups.

Oh, and by the way... it didn't make you sound like a dork! xD

i would have to say drifter. I dont have a lot of friends, i usually make them at work, and then never talk to them again if i move jobs.

you made me laugh with "jock". i dont think that a jock would be a pokefan.

Geek or nerd. I honestly dunno since I fit the labels of both to some extent. Though I guess I don't study as much as a nerd would? I dunno. XD I'm definitely a math/gaming/technology geek. 8D; My friends were all pretty much the same, but just different genres of geek. XD We had music nerds, art kids, everything in that group.

I miss high school. D:
 
According to Bowling For Soup High School Never Ends. It's kinda true too, I mean faces are different though.

Even if you do post a link, you have to be logged in an account that has the previlage to view this area. i have tried coping the link and then logging out and trying to enter it. You get an access denied error, so don't worry. ^_^

^ There's a link to the mod lounge. ;P Only people who have access to the forum can see it when they click it. The same thing applies to this forum--even if someone who isn't a tier 3+ supporter got the link to this forum, it wouldn't matter in the least. They'd get the same error. So... yeah, give out the link all you want but it won't matter. They can't see it without the proper permissions~
 
And about my years of school, I didn't belong to a click. I just got along with everyone. I talk to everyone I came across. I did notice there were a few clicks, but I didn't let get to me. Wasn't a nerd or anything like that. I was just me. ^^

Oh that is a good thing because non-members can find out about this place. It is only for us. If they want to come here, they got to donate. So far I kept my mouth shut. XD I don't tell anyone about this place.

Well I dunno, I tend to spend a lot of time online, watching anime and reading manga. So I guess an Otaku.
