I work Christmas Day and Eve too :< And everyday til then. I tried to call in from sickness today, but no one would work for me, though I've worked for all of them :<
 
Oh my stepmom and dad lives in New Jersey, my mom lives in Tennessee, and my brother lives in Texas. So he is the only one who lives closer to me(3 hours away)...but still. I sure do miss them. D:

Wow, I am working only up to Christmas Eve, and I am off til the 30th. I requested the rest of the days off. There was no way I am working the day after Christmas. x.x I want to take a break. I am going to be tired because of the craziness. @_@ I am glad we are closed on Christmas. I still got vacation and legal paid holidays. I will get all my hours that way. :3

Man that isn't fair that you have to work Jess and Teresa. I wish they will give you those days off. :<

Well the harsh reality is that it happens. I mean you would be miffed if you wanted to go out to a resteraunt for xmas dinner and NO ONE WAS OPEN cause they dont work xmas.
I told my boss to bugger off when she asked me to work xmas day, though, lol.
 
... lol. I have to go see my dad on boxing day now.
 
When I was employed at a Movie theatre, working on christmas day was one of the worst days you could work. It wasn't just that you had to spend that wonderful day working away from friends and family, but the fact that you had to almost suffer when stupid parents dragged their children with them to see the new thriller/horror movies that open on that day. I'm so glad that I'm at the company I'm with now, they close at 6pm on christmas eve and the entirety of christmas day! They also encourage the visiting of family and provide the necessary time for travel plans around the major holidays too. (I love this Co.)
 
I'm a baker's assistant at a local grocery store chain. ;)
I make just slightly more than I did as the Assoc. Manager at the movie theatre, without having to deal with ruddy annoyances like kicking teens out of movies!
 
actually I make stuff like Muffins, bread, and the occasional pie. I don't do cakes all that much.
(it's also not that fattening because after a while you begin to resist eating while you work because it's not as much of a treat anymore.)
 
Oh, we leave that for those girls over in the deli. they enjoy making them over there. XD
 
Gerri Shin... mind making me a pie? I love pie. I would love being a mechanic.
 
Where did selling cars come up? o_o' Did I miss something?

I don't trust bakers anymore. ;; When I used to work at the grocery store, some of my co-workers thought it'd be "funny" to give me a piece of pie that had fallen on the dirt encrusted floor. I was sick for nearly a week, which is a long time for one little piece of pie.
 
I thought money was what makes the world go round? There're too many things that make the world go round these days to keep track of.
