Because spell check is your best friend. :D

Except the American's dictionary keeps getting rid of the u's in my words, like colour. XD

Soo I've had to keep adding words, haha. :c

The u makes words look nicer, in my opinion.

Colour is so much prettier than color.

Metre and centre are weirder than meter and center, though.

I don't care much for American abbreviation, in some ways I think they actually butchered the language a tad bit, but that's my opinion. Because I'm British I do spell words like center as centre, and color as colour.

On the other hand, there are some words that I actually use the American spelling for because I've become so accustomed to them. For example, I type license instead of licence.

I type a lot of words wrong by habit. For example, definatelty (is apparently wrong) and... some others, like avaliable (which idk, I think that's wrong)... and yeah other stuff. It's only until people point it out that I actually notice, so when making posts and I wanna type words I'm unsure about, I just quickly Google them and type. :D

...plus I dunno what the Australian way is for most of the words I type. lol :(

The Australian way is the British way. English is a lost cause though, let's ditch it and learn something cooler D:

Americans don't need British spell-checkers unless they're working in Britain. (b'-')b

"Definately" is definitely wrong, Nica. "Avaliable" is actually available. I think these words are the same for both British and American English.
