I like slushies though I haven't had one in years... I recall our high school cafeteria sold them and I'd often get a slushie and a bag of chips instead of the actual lunch :P Closest thing I've had in a while has been flavored shaved ice. Not quite the same thing.
 
Now when you say slushies from the school cafeteria, do you mean the real deal? By the real deal, I mean like Frozen Coke type slushies, not those sub-par things you see spinning in those weird transparent machines that look like coloured goop.
 
Call me crazy but I don't really notice any difference between those coloured goop things and frozen coke ones... (Minus the slight change in flavour, y'know with red ones tasting uhh... red and coke ones tasting like... cola?)
 
The quality, Juicy! The consistency is a lot smoother and nicer in the McDonalds/7Eleven kind of slushies, whereas the 'frozen goop' ones are goopy and sometimes lumpy and the flavours are not at all authentic.
 
Slushies and Icee's give me brain freeze for comparatively little enjoyment. :\ Milkshakes are MUCH better. xD

Ooh, and Dutch Bros. Strawberry smoothies! :D
 
I'll stick with slushies and shaved ice because smoothies and milkshakes and such contain stuff that I'm deathly allergic to. I'd much rather get brain freeze than, you know, dying.
 
omg I want to go to the schools you guys go to. It's just amazing how deprived we are here in Australia.

I'm rather obsessed with the 7Eleven slushies right now. I had this flavour once called "Strawberry Citron" and it is the most fantastic thing I have ever tasted in liquid form. I nearly died and went to Heaven, it was so delicious. However crushingly, I've only ever been able to find it once since. I am now on a quest... I have three 7Elevens near me and I go to each of them as often as I can in hope that one day I'll be able to have it again. But I've recently found out that there are 34 flavours... so the chances are 1 in 34 lmao.

I had the same thing happen with Yumberry Pomegranate Sobe here in California. :0 Stephanie in my Civics class let me have a sip of hers and I was all "HOLY SHIZNIT I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE" So I got one at the store, went to heaven as well (I may have seen you there, but I don't remember) came back, went to get another and THEY WERE OUT AND NEVER COMING BACK. D:

I still feel deprived. ;__;
 
omg I feel so bad for you. That sounds like a delicious flavour! I wonder if there is an equivalent here in Australia... I'll have to check it out. The flavours differ between there and here lol

I will laugh so hard if I find a Strawberry Citron slushie and you find a Yumberry Pomegranate Sobe. xD
 
I don't know where I can even find a place that sells slushies around my parts... I know the camp store at the state park used to sell them but that was over 10 years ago. Went to the supermarket today, didn't see a machine :/
