Haha first of all there are no "guys"... it's just me. And I don't know how to add cheats. Maybe some of the cheats that work on Vanilla Emerald would work here? Idk.

Hello, in love with your games! Digimon NovaRed was a blast and now I'm onto Emerald project. The games are really well made and thank you for making them! I am running into a glitch where if my kokomon ever goes up a level while being in my back party the game freezes entirely. Any clue of how I could avoid this? I'm playing oh Johngba emulator.

Edit: the game also freezes anytime I try to pick up an item ):

Glad you're enjoying it! I'm not sure what's causing the glitch. Did you download the game from here?

I did, looks like it just needed to be played on the suggested emulator, haven't had any of these issues after the switch. I decided to do a mono fairy run this time since so many of my favorites are my favorite type, it's been OP and a lot of fun! I'd love to see difficulty modes or something like it going forward.

Also would love to see Kudamons full evolution line to Sleipmon in game since they're my favorite (maybe Faerie/water?) So I'm going to work on getting the sprites the appropriate size for you if I can figure it out (:

HUGE find, found a patch that works with ANY emerald hack that removes the need of HM's, and due to everything the dev says on them you can use it without it being considered cheating but just intended and unimplimented!

Only jank is it says it only checks for a badge and it says it uses the first in the party but small visual bugs you should be used to in this hack, it isn't any big deal.

I had the same problem with VBA, but it's working on mGBA

I'm struggling to get this hack working on mGBA; I have the graphical glitches on both VBA and mGBA. Did you do anything special to get it working? I downloaded the correct ROM and used the patcher in the instructions and everything, don't know why this is happening to so many people

To those that have Graphically bugged out stat screen in MyBoy emulator, disable BIOS in advanced settings. Other emulators have this too. Can try turning it off if there's an option to turn it off on your setting if you're experiencing graphical glitches as it may fix the problem.

I am kinda 50/50 on this romhack. It is an upgrade from Nova Red but some of the Digimons I used prior got a slight nerf and the Dex is inferior(no BST and abilities) but nothing we can do about that I guess because of the limitations of the Dex in RSE.
Also noticed that some DVs like Diaboromon can't remember every moves on the move tutor.

Spoiler: Some buff/Nerf I noticed. Can spoil others who wants to play with no prior info

Some nerfs/slight nerf I noticed on mons I've used in Nova Red:
Rafflesimon losing Chlorophyll+Leaf storm. Got better psychic moves but this game,even in nova red, barely got any poison and fighting types so I actually don't even use Psychic moves before. And some poison types are also dark types and some fighting types are also steel types that's why i kept trying to catch a Nyokimon with ground type Hidden Power before. 😂
MSeadramon-Swift swim replaced with damp. Ouch. 😭
Lynxmon- losing drought, boarmon still has drought but I dislike it because it has pathetic learnset via lvl up or TMs and it can't take advantage of delaying Candlemon's evo for better moves because it's a physical attacker.
Lillithmon- BST looks like got slightly lower. No more prankster. Didn't really need as she's already fast. No more Perish Song, Aeroblast and air slash. Now learns special STAB that badly poisons and a special Flying STAb that steals 75% of damage dealt. Air slash/Aeroblast still much better imo. But considering almost every fighting types got inner focus now, maybe Air Slash removal is fine. I wish Seraphimon had Air Slash in Digimon Nova Red though. Bro got serene grace but can't even take advantage of it.
Diaboromon- no more infiltrator. I like infiltrator more than insomnia
Shadramon- still have Quiver Dance yay, but got Compound Eyes now instead of Effect Spore. All moves I use have 100% accuracy. Nobody really uses minimize or smoke screen or sand attack later on. Just in the early parts of the game. But Compound Eyes in general is better. Not just for Shadramon imo. Maybe Flame Body would even be better on it instead of effect spore. And even much better is Tinted Lens.
Almost everyone I used on my sun team got nerfed/slight nerf.
Lotosmon- Now has Chlorophyll and Leafstorm, but Draining Kiss BP is back to 50. Also I liked Solar Power+Choice Specs before to OHKO almost everyone even with a resisted Solar beam. But +2 speed under the sun is always welcome. Lvlup learnset got better too. Although there's a major problem, it loses chlorophyll when it becomes Lalamon 😢. It gets Sniper in the end. Why not give sniper to Rafflesimon instead? Or Makuramon. They learns crit moves. But I get it. Not everybody do weather teams.
Chaosdramon- ChaosDramon has worse learnset and worse ability. Still has huge power if you caught a Tyranomon with it but doesn't learn any good physical stab move anymore. and his 2nd ability is battle armor.
Puppetmon- No more No Guard Hypnosis. There's a new Sleep move but only has 3 PP.
Rasenmon- BST looks lower. Speed Boost got replaced by Lightning Rod. Honestly, I think Lightning Rod is better in a game where every major battles cheese you with coverage moves and others are very predictable since most digimons has shallow movepools.

Some buffs/slight buff
A.Mermaimon- Got a better learnset via lvl up. I didn't need to delay Chapmon's evo until lvl56 like what I did in Nova Red
Almost everybody that I used on my rain team got better except M.Seadramon tbh.
H.kabuterimon- Tail Glow bruh. No more balance. Just catch a motimon with HP Ice for coverage XD
Hydramon- maybe slightly broken. Now has Grassy Surge and very good learnset. Used to use it as switch in to grass types because of sap sipper on my rain team. Grassy Terrain makes some ground type moves weaker which is perfect for my next run after this initial test run. Not going for weather anymore.
Hexeblaumon- thank you for replacing Refrigerate. This thing only learns ice moves so it was almost useless. Not even worth trying to give it double-edge before. The new ability is snow cloak iinm. Not so good either but a little better than refrigerate imo. Evasion gives frustration.
Ravemon- huge buff. But not to ravemon itself but to Chichimon's line because of defog Roost and Flying Press. Delay Hyokomon's evo till it learn Flying Press(flying+fighting type move) then you can evolve it to owlmon then to Ravemon. Then learn Ravemons signature priority steel type move from the tutor. If you don't care about recoil, you could always use brave bird. If you only care about defog, just DV to owlmon after learning defog right away. Which I did. Ravemon also learns Sword Dance so I opt to use him instead of Buraimon.
Cannoweissmon- curimon gets huge power ability but becomes Justified in the end. Not very useful compared to Multiscale which gives you free set-ups because you're guaranteed to survive on first 2 hits if boosting with bulk-up or calm mind. Unless you get hit by a high BP ice move on the second turn. It now learns Dragon Dance which is huge but has kinda not so good physical lvl up learnset. But unlike before, at least he learns more physical moves now.
Wingdramon- was better than Canoweissmon as a physical sweeper in Nova Red because of DD but now Canoweiss has DD too. Also had the worse lvlup learnset because it can't even learn Dragon Pulse/Airslash and Canoweissmon can learn both + even better, Draco Meteor and Aeroblast. Wingdra was insane in Rain Teams as a special attacker because it can learn Thunder, Surf and Hurricane but I still replaced him with Canoweiss instead because of Choice Specs + Draco Meteor. And Cano learns thunder too. And if I use him on sun teams, I just replace Thunder with Overheat. But Wingdra gained a new move called Horn Glow. Still has pretty terrible lvlup learnset aside from horn glow. Even it's new physical move that has priority is arguably worse than Fly. But he got better on rain teams now as a special sweeper as even neutral hits can 1 shot almost everybody after one boost from horn glow. Everything else, aside from ability and niche on rain team, Canoweiss does better now though.
Makuramon- Lost unburden(became vital spirit) on a version where we can plant berries. But gained a better high BP stab move in close combat. Used to run him with substitute+focus punch because hammer arm was terrible on a speedster glass cannon. But also lost drain punch unfortunately. The biggest buff was grassy surge from hydramon. This monkey that hits like a truck before with Wood Hammer now has a nuke in grassy terrain. I still wish it's Part psychic instead of grass to be more accurate on digimon anime/games.
A.Sphinxmon- just absurd. It got more moves than it already have in nova red. I wish there're 10 move slots.
Minervamon- was already unwallable because of it's STAB combination in Nova Red but got even better.

Have to check everybody else later.

And lastly, I am glad Apollomon is still pathetic. XD I hate that overrated PoS even in Dawn and Dusk. 😁 Dude has high BST but got worse learnset than Flareon 😂

I also have the issue some other people have mentioned where the summary screen is broken and won't display moves, abilities etc. Playing on VBA and have tried changing every setting at this point

Sadly, the Cave of Origin is closed after the Legendary event. I made this game about two years ago and back then I wasn't thinking about people who wanted to complete the whole Dex or, God forbid, do "Living Dexes."
