Seems like a weird question, but you have to admit, there are some controllers you just feel really comfortable with and others that are just...

    Spoiler:

    wanna be cell phones.

So what's your favorite controller to use? And your least favorite? I personally love the GameCube controller. I like the weird clicking noise the L and R buttons make and the look of the buttons is just cool. And I like holding it. It's just really comfortable. Worst controller I've ever handled is not a controller per se, but arcade joysticks. They're usually sticky from people spilling soda on them and buttons quit working, so it makes it hard to play their games, especially fighting ones where you need to be on your toes.

My least favorite controller definitely has to be the N64 controller. Everything is so far away and you never know exactly how you're supposed to reach every button - especially when you're young and have stubby little fingers. My favorite controller would definitely have to be the Wii Remote and Nunchuck - just because the controls are easy to learn and whatnot. It's also very satisfying to actual point at something before shooting at it.

I also really like the mouse/keyboard combination for PC games and whatnot. Got to love them WASD keys.

Personally, I love the Playstation 3 controller. The triggers could be better, but I think everything else is perfect. The face and shoulder buttons feel spongy, the D-Pad is great, and I never really minded the symmetry of the analog sticks. The 360 controller would have won, but the horrid D-Pad and clicky face and shoulder buttons kill it for me. And the Playstation Move controller feels amazing, especially when compared to the Wiimote.

The worst one for me was the N64 controller. It had too much buttons, and I only have two hands.

I like the PS2/PS3 controllers the best. They feel the most comfortable and the easiest to use.
I really like the wiimote + nunchuk as well. It feels really good to use, and it seems more free than anything else.

Xbox controllers sucked pretty hardcore. I hate them. They're uncomfortable and funny looking.

I am going to go against the grain here though and say, the N64 controller is still to this day one of my favourites. I find it strangely comforting to pick up everytime I feel like plugging my 64 bag in for a while.
It didnt matter how things were spaced, games that needed the D-Pad, you didn't use the control stick and vice versa. The buttons were all within reach for me. You just had to work out how to hold it properly for what the game required, I feel like it added to the skill :P

I have to agree with the Gamecube controllers. By far the most comfortable controller ever. I had both a wavebird (the first half-decent wireless controller for a console) and standard controllers. Both were brilliant to the point where I am considering getting a Gamecube-> USB adapter.

The original Xbox controllers were horrible. I mean the really big ones. The V2s were really good. That might have been because I was younger then, so smaller hands don't lend themselves to that controller.

Old controllers aren't that bad (NES, etc) because were early. Microsoft should have known better.

I like the Playstation controllers the best I think. XBOX controllers I always thought would be really uncomfortable to play with because of the layout and stuff, but I played one ages ago and it was surprisingly easy and not the dissimilar from memory...

I must say, the WiiMote's layout and play style when flipped sideways is such a fun, simple layout to use. However, I must say I feel it's a bit small or maybe it's cause it is like rectangle, that it isn't the most comfortable to play with.

Dual Shock 1 & 2. IMO, the perfect controller. Buttons in the perfect place, analogs comfy, d-pad the best I've seen since analog sticks were invented etc. Dual Shock 3 & Sixaxis have those awful L2 and R2 buttons. Shallow? Yes, but it bumps the controller to 'Worse than the last models'.

To be clear, I when I said the original Xbox controller, I meant the larger one here. You mostly likely used the "S" variant on the left.

I used the one on the right. I think you misinterpreted my post, I thought the controller was comfortable and good to use! I just thought it looked uncomfortable with the two joysticks in the positions with one higher than the other (I grew up with Playstation and them being next to each other).

Anyways, do hand held consoles count as controllers?
I think the original silver DS is more comfortable than the Lite simply because the edges are rounded on the original. I found the Lite cuts into my hands on the edges. Maybe I'm holding it wrong...

I wasn't sure, I just knew that if you found it comfortable, you were obviously using the "S" variant. :D

I find that the Phat DS cuts into my hands, due to the bottom corners having sharp edges on the silver layer. I suppose I could file them down...

I'm not sure if this counts, but the Wii Remote is one of my favorite controllers because it's more versatile than the other controllers, IMO. The PS2 controller is close, but what I don't like about it is the wires.

My favorite is the Gamecube controller. I don't mind the N64 controller, but when I first started using it I remember it killed my thumb.

My least favorite is the Wii remote. It just seems so small and... I just don't care for it. I usually end up using the Gamecube controller.

I love the 360 controller, but hate the system and don't play it. So it kind of sucks.

But I kind of like the wii remote/nunchuck in a sense that I can totally relax with it playing some games. Like Animal Crossing. There are times where I can just recline and run around playing with just the nunchuck.

I think that my favourite controller was the Dualshock for PS1/PS2. I don't like the PS3's Sixaxis as much because the L2/R2 are now triggers, not buttons. I don't mind the XBox controllers, but I don't like the layout of the joysticks compared to the Playstation's. I also don't like most of the controllers for Nintendo systems, with my least favourite being the N64 controller. However, I did like the SNES controller, because it was a lot like the Genesis/Mega Drive controller that I grew up with.

Ugh, how did I not mention this? Maybe because it was my friend's Xbox and not mine. But the reason I would just watch him play a game on that thing instead of play the game myself was because that beast of a controller is ju-- ...

    Spoiler:

Well, there's its granddaddy. I need not say more.

I can't talk about the old Atari controllers because I never used them. XD

    ~ Least fav controller: NES
I didn't like the blocky pointy feel to the NES controller. I mean it worked, but I never liked how it felt while holding it.

    ~ Favorite controller: XBox 360
It's based off the GameCube controller and the GC's controller was a nice well put together controller that felt right. And I think the 360 expanded on that, making it wireless (I don't like the Wavebird as much as the normal GC controller), adding triggers, and so on. I hope MS does the way of Sony and doesn't change their controller because I can't see them making something better then what they have now.

Favorite Controller: Xbox 360 - Its just really confortable to use, the layout is nice (I don't care what people say about the layout, I still love it) and It was the first 7th Gen consol's controller I had.

Least Favorite Controller: None - I don't have a least favorite controller, all the one's I've used were great.
