Hmmm, so the event Torchic was just an appetizer. I can restart my X version without fear of losing the Blazikenite now. All I have to do is choose Torchic. Which, for me, is a no brainer, considering the sparse options Hoenn had for Fire-types...

Seems I may have to get this game after all. But I'm not playing my 3DS much anymore, so it may be wasted.

i bought my 3 ds JUST for pokemon x . .
now it will be usefull for hoen remakes as well :)

I am going to burst.

Every single mega evolution is pure amazing. And I just realized that Mega Diancie is the first Kalos mega evolution, SO TAKE THAT PEOPLE WHO SAID THAT WE WOULDN'T GET A KALOS MEGA THIS GEN. MEGA ZYGARDE IS COMING.

Too bad Mega Swampert isn't Water/Fighting, and also too bad Mega Sceptile is Grass/Dragon... Tbh if any Grass starter was to get a Dragon-type mega, it should've been Meganium or Serperior. I love this type but I'm just worried that it'll hurt Sceptile more than help him, especially considering he could've received a better ability.

And the redesigns are pretty cool, but something with them, along with the Kyogre/Groudon forms and Steven's sudden interest in mega evolution, tell me that they had more in mind for a "full remake."

Now that Kalos has Megas I think they should give some to Unova Pokemon too. Though I still think that they'll keep it to only three stage Pokemon and legendaries for those two generations.

I think Zygarde will get the Groudon and Kyogre treatment rather than get a Mega.

You don't think this ancient forms/megas are exclusive to Kyogre and Groudon? Or are you just talking about a new form in general for Zygarde?

Now I wonder if Latios and Latias are Prehistorics rather than megas. Though I guess it would be odd for Latios and Latias to look like planes. Maybe they are still not 100% complete.

I do want Krookorok to get a Mega. This would be a great time for it to get a Mega with Hoenn being a desert. But with it not being in the games until 5th Gen, not gonna get my hopes up too much.


Also, I do not think Prehistoric is going to be just for Groudon and Kyogre, I think it is the forms for big legendaries. Mewtwo was human made, so that is why he only got a Mega and not Prehistoric.

They said these new forms were a like the Mega Forms and can only change in battle.

Hmm, I'm wondering how the storyline will play out now. The fact that the team you battle depends on your version is kinda convincing me that they will stick to the R/S storyline, but since HGSS incorporated Crystal features I wouldn't be surprised if the Emerald storyline somehow got incorporated into these games. Either way it is a clever tactic to persuade players to buy both games, having alternate storylines and teams is a good influence to get both ORAS.

Either that or we will receive Delta Emerald in 2015

I don't think they're exclusive to them. Specially when that form of Super Evolution (I'm using this as a general term to refer to both Mega and Ancient) would fit Pokemon like Tangrowth, Mamoswine, and Yanmega.

I posted this in the DCC thread. I don't think that Steven will actually use Mega Charizard X. It's level is 100, making me think he's simply giving us a Demonstration of Mega Evolution.

Yes! Sceptile looks so awesome! Treeko was my first Hoenn starter. Sceptile is my favorite among the Hoenn starters final evolution. This is good news for me.

Good thing they have confirmed Groudon and Kyogre having Mega Evolutions or Ancient Devolutions, according to Serebii. That way people can stop trying to disprove it. I don't know why people were denying they would get alt forms. It was pretty obvious from the box art.

Anyone noticed that Mega Swampert has the color of Marshtomp?

On the topic of the Latis: They may be, but perhaps Ancient devolution requires something that isn't Mega Stones. If so then that means that the Latis aren't Ancient Devolutions of the current Latis.

I like it too. I showed it and the other two Mega starters to my younger sister and she said she preferred MegaSwampert.

I plan to get Sceptile, but Swampert (and Blaziken of course) don't have bad looking Megas. I like better the Hoenn trio compared to the Kanto trio.

This is one thing I do not really like. They really should have kept the Emerald Storyline because it was a lot better. Maybe they will still have Rayquaza come in some how.

That would have been cool, but then what would be the point of having both Sapphire and Ruby remakes. They could have just did an Emerald remake. They did it like this so people would buy both versions...orrr they have plans for an Emerald remake, as well.

In memory of my Sceptile from my Ruby, I am going to teach it the same moves, as well. My old Sceptile had Leaf Blade, False Swipe, Pursuit and Screech. None of the newer Gen moves.
