Hey guys, you're all amazing!
Over the past few days, my user title has been bolded using BB code, and I've spent time testing it. BB code is the same code you use to write in posts. Now you can do the same in your own user titles! And here's another bonus: you can now edit the BB code in your User CP any time without needing to start all over again!
BB code is still as powerful as ever ? you could write up a title like this:
Code:
[PLAIN][span="text-shadow: 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.7); font-family: Bangers, sans-serif; font-size: 150%"][span="color: #ffc600;"]Sup[/span][span="color: #ffa800;"]port[/span][span="color: #ff7e00;"]er[/span][/span][/PLAIN]
Supporter
And this time, you've got the standard set of BB code to use ? instead of the [css] tag, you now use [span]. The [color] and [font] tags behave just like they do in posts. Crystal supporters get to use [span] now, too, allowing you to add creative CSS to your titles! Or maybe include an [img] if you want to! [s] strikethough?
Long story: we've changed how BB code works in user titles. Previously, if you wanted to write up a user title, you'd be writing it in faux BB code that would be converted into HTML.
This no longer works and thus if you go to edit your user title right now, it'll process as HTML and
will not be parsed. You will need to convert all your user title code into proper BB code.
Note: putting in quote tags (and other such big tags), gigantic images (e.g. images larger than 40x40), or any stuff you shouldn't have inside your user title might result in some unwanted consequences (read: punishments). So don't.
