People spell middle name correctly all the time, but when it comes to my first name...

It's either with a 'K', a 'Ch' or a single 'l' somewhere along the spelling. I mean, my name is pronounced with a hard C, and Indonesians take it as either 'K' or 'Ch', and they always mention my name as if it starts with 'Ch' when they first encountered such a name like how did you mix up 'C' and 'Ch' I don't see you mess up other people's names huh? I get so damn annoyed by every person that misspell my name with either 'Ch' or 'K'.

On the bright side, my first name sounds like an fire-type gym leader's name so I can live with that.

My first name is Nichole, and it's an uncommon spelling variant of a pretty common name. Literally everyone and everything leaves that h out and it annoys me a lot, even when I'm prescribed medication the label on the packaging spells my name incorrectly. And don't get me started on the tons of files and paperwork that spells it incorrectly as well.

My surname on the other hand is like one of the most common ones in existence, so it's natural many can spell that one very easily. That at least offsets it, but it's always my first name that everyone gets wrong.

While I do like the extra character in my name, I just hate that it's always overlooked when one is writing it down. Even people on PC itself have gotten it wrong at times, so yeah that's still annoying in the big picture.

My name is weird, because there is a common spelling variant, and an uncommon one. I have the uncommon one (which in my opinion looks and sounds better), but rarely do people intuitively think to spell it like that. I constantly have to bring the e instead of an a to people's attention. Luckily, when it comes to people online using my name, no one can really spell it wrong I mean, it's a part of my username lol.

My surname was spelt wrong only once in England (In Germany everyone spells it wrong because it's an English name, so I don't count them misspelling it), and I was amazed at how they'd tried to spell it. My name sounds the same as a common place word, but they'd actually thought it was spelt like that, despite the fact that has never been, and never will be, a surname. Lmao

Compare Nicole to my variant Nichole and you would have to admit my version of the name is cooler. I'm kinda annoyed that the less awesome one is more popular.

I like the name Aiden, it's nice. C:

If anyone here has ever gotten my memo somewhere in PC, my first name is Candella, derived from the word "Candela", and like I said in my previous post, perfect for a fire-type gym leader's name haha. It's so rare and weird as a regular that I normally introduce myself as "Candy" if I'm introducing myself outside of school, college or other formal things because it's so damn easier to mention and be engraved into one's mind than "Candella".

Your version also happens to be the only version I know. Then again, I don't know many people that have your name, anyway.

As for my name: my first name is the abbreviation of a longer one and that feels a little bit weird, tbh. {XD}

I much prefer Nichole over Nicole. Nichole is much more sophisticated in my opinion (which is heavily biased after knowing a Nicole and her being a total... Well, let's not go there). I have to agree that Nicole is more popular though, I've known a few.

I've never ever in my life met someone with a name even remotely similar to Candella. It's a very unique name, and makes for actually, a sweet nickname. As much as I thought it'd be weird at first, imagining it actually sounds nice.

I somehow forgot that I have several variations of my first name (Tara, Tera, Terra are three) and it wouldn't be a problem if my name wasn't pronounced like Terra would. So when people first hear my name and then spell it sometimes they spell it normally like the latter two I mentioned. But when they see my name first and then say it some people tend to pronounce it as 'tar-rah'. I also learned that it depends on where you're from too so I tend to just let that pronunciation slide these days.

I agree with Aiden though. Candella is certainly a unique name! And Nichole really is a nice way to spell 'Nicole' even though I think Hikari is the only Nichole I know (while I knew/know several Nicoles).

My full name gets spelt and mispronounced all the time where it's to the point now I'm not annoyed because I'm used to it - which is why I mostly go by nickname Nina (which is half of my full first name). My last name is of spanish origin so I'm not surprised if people say it wrong, but I've had a spanish teacher mispronounce it which is really weird since she's a spanish teacher xD To be honest, my full first name isn't that hard, but people still get it wrong all the time.

Another Ben? We have our resident MorallyIncorrect or now known as Ice. He rather not have that name used here though. :T

Okay, finally gonna comment on this:

I agree with Aiden though. Candella is certainly a unique name!

The downside is that if I discover something amazing like a new theorem or a new element I can't get to name it after me since my name already exists in the world of science haha. If anyone knows or even use the unit of light for anything. Someone enlighten me on that.

Candella is very cool name.

Oh and hey guys I'm back. Where about's is the username change thread thingy? '_'*

Just about to go to the gym, I'm really not in the mood but I always feel guilty if I don't go ): You?

>.< Drat. I'll PM Shenanigans and see if there's a different way of going about getting a name change.

Yeah you missed the name change dude... and now there's fear the Crystal/Platinum Tier's extra name change might get scrapped, probably because he wants them to wait at the same time as the lower-tiered ones and also the non-supporters. Although I think it's because he's finding it stressful when one requests too often, plus he's been the one handling most of the name change threads lately, so maybe he might ask another admin to assist him next time.

If I recall the next name change phase will be in September, but it can be hard waiting that long if you can't stand your current name. I'm too lazy to come up with a new name plus I'm too attached to this one anyway.

Yeah, its one of the seven(?) Base SI units. We're using it now partially to do with LEDs and work out the current across the diode etc. It gets used haha ;)
