omg. I remember that, I was so excited, I tried to tape it on a cassette when it came on and I couldn't XD
 
I remember going to the cinema to see the 1st Pokemon movie. All the rest have been kind of... rubbish lately.
 
Oh, I remember going to see Pokemon movie one, except they didn't show us Pokemon, it was flippin' Rugrats. ;; I was so disappointed at the time.
 
I have seen some of the old pokemon movies.
 
I also watched it in the Cinema, couldn't wait and I watched it with my friends that time. It was the best Pokémon movie up till now, IMO.
 
I remember watching the first movie with my brother at home with his copy on VHS cassette tape. I also remember not being particularly impressed with it, and this is before Ash and Pikachu began really getting on my nerves.

I preferred the "Mewtwo Returns" one. Mostly because of Giovanni. I really wish they would make a movie based on the Colosseum/XD games.
 
Oh man, I remember hyping up the first movie SO much to my dad just so he'd come with me to watch it, of course he'd typically fall asleep while watching any movie at the cinema and this one was no different. XD; But I remember it being one of the few movies that actually managed to make me cry, I'm sure you can guess which scene in it actually jerked the tears, it gets me every time.

I have Mewtwo Returns on VHS, but it's misplaced. <_< May just grab another copy if I can't find it, but I remember being very fond of it as well.
 
I feel like one of the few kids who saw it back when it first came out and didn't like it. I mean it was cool and all since OMG A POKEMON MOVIE! but ehhh, I wasn't as into it as everyone else seemed to be.

I however, was a huge fan of pokemon the movie 2000 with the chosen one and all haha. the plot was better imo
 
The first Pokémon movie I remember to see on TV was the Celebi one (forgot its name).
And I didn't watch the whole movie. Woke up too late that day, lol.
 
Haha I agree, Kelsey. I preferred the second movie a lot more to the first since it had such a captivating plot, it was also the movie that made me such a fan of Lugia. XD;
 
The funny thing is, I haven't even seen any of the movies past the fifth or sixth one. My brother has them all on tape or DVD, though.

I just wish that they made a movie completely independent of the series, with completely new characters. That would go a long way toward making me actually want to watch one.
 
Most of the movies were worth watching, except the one with the Unknowns. That sucked. The newer movies are mediocre.
 
Neither of the first two movies really had my attention since I saw them at a later age than most fans. The third movie, however, is one of my favorite anime films ever. Too bad every Pokemon films ever since has failed to match it...in my opinion, at least.

Signomi, right! it was sooooo much better, even the graphics were cooler for the time. Yeah, lugia was a bamf in the movie :) my favorite part was all the references to misty and ash being cute and stuff because as a kid I shipped those two so much haha.

I think the last of the movies I watched was the one before the celebi one and I have no clue which one that is :/

edit: ugh, trying to post in dcc again reminds me how slow of a typer I am pft.

P-P-P-P-POKEMON 4EVER, god I love Team Rocket in that movie.

But my favorite out of the Pokémon movies was Pokemon 3! I loved the battle scene between Charizard and Entei and how Molly Hale was just so innocent ;-;
I've had my msn theme of Molly for a good month now.

Heh, I never even bothered to watch any of the movies after the third. :| I guess it's because from then on my fanaticalness about Pokémon withered a tad bit and I started growing more interested in other fandoms, so I never bothered to keep track of any later movies that were released.

I'll say. The graphics really took me away when I first saw that movie and I became such an ardent fan, it was the reason why I purchased Silver instead of Gold when the games first came out here in Europe because I was such a die hard fan of Lugia, all because of the movie. XD; Ooh I used to ship Ash and Misty too, like most shippers I took subtle hints a little far, so I really enjoyed seeing light fluff in there too.
