I'm scared of driving. "What if I crash?" and all that. I'm also more afraid of the fact that I'll be appointed resident chauffeur for everything. "You need to take me here and here. Now." ;~;

That's almost exactly how I see it. I'm glad I have two more years before I really need to worry about driving.

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of too. I haven't gotten behind the wheel at all. But, a fear of crashing can be overcome. I'd be more upset and scared that I got into an accident and so nervous to call my parents saying I did get into an accident, because they would probably kill me if it was my fault.

The only time I've actually been in a car accident was our car getting hit by some idiot drunk guy. I walked away with a few bruises and a concussion.

I can get my temps next year, but I don't want to.

Put on your seatbelt. That way, if you run someone over, at least you won't get killed too. Yay.

When I was 13 my I got in an accident and got injured. The funny thing is the doctor said I would have been fine if I wasn't wearing my seat belt. :/

I was involved in an accident as a passenger. It was raining and my aunt and cousin were driving me home and we had no stop sign. An old man couldn't see the stop sign in his lane, thought he had none and skidded into the right front of the car. The tire was flattened and we were sitting there on the shoulder until my sister came over to pick me up. Now, the city has ordered the people who own the tree that sometimes covers the stop sign to keep the sign visible at all times.

Now, whenever we drive past that intersection, I turn to my right and get goosebumps.

I've never been injured in a crash, but I've been involved in two minor ones, neither one as the driver.

First, a group of friends were headed to an event in town, going in multiple cars. At the bottom of an exit ramp, the guy in the car I was in hit the accelerator instead of the brake and hit our friends in front of us. It wasn't anything more than a fender bender though both bumpers looked pretty bad afterward.

Second time, I was riding with my mom to the grocery store, where the right lane was closed to traffic. So, we go to make a right turn into the parking lot and some idiot in a moped who's cruising down the closed right lane smacks into our Chevy Suburban in the right rear. His face smacked into the rear window but somehow it didn't shatter. IIRC, we're still trying to settle legal matters over the incident and in the future I might be called to court as a witness to the incident.

^You wouldn't be in trouble would you?

For me, when I got into that car accident, I was fine, but the year after I shattered my leg. The other driver was the one that hit us, and he even admitted it, but in court he lied saying it was my dad's fault so we had to pay :/

I was in seventh grade... so I was twelve? It happened while we were driving through Cleveland and the guy completely missed the red light. I received the worst injuries out of everyone, so it wasn't too serious. But it has made me paranoid about driving.

When I get a job, and become doctor (if I don't end up going to the army) I'll hire my own personal driver :P

Honestly, I can't see myself not having a military career. (It'd be kinda cool to have a personal driver)
I just want something to do in my life. I want to be useful, to help people. I don't want to be remembered as someone who didn't do anything for anyone.

No, since I wasn't the driver and it was already concluded in traffic court that the other guy was at fault. But he's suing our insurance company to get them to pay for his medical bills, and we have to show (in civil court, I would imagine) that he was the one at fault so our premiums don't go up because of this incident.

At least that's what I've heard from my mother about it.

Me too. I want to make a difference, have a purpose, you know?

Well, seat belts are only truly advantageous in higher speed crashes where you would otherwise be thrown from the car. Though in some states, since speed's such a common factor in crashes, you can be stopped if an officer thinks you or a passenger is not wearing a seatbelt.

I want to be a pro basketball player.

Off topic: I have to drive 12 hours to OK tomorrow.
