eep, that's frightening...what's your job? i work with children, there's the occasional fist fight and apparently there's been weapons pulled by students before but luckily i've only dealt with the former :X

If I see someone who looks like a theif who is passing by/walking behind me, I start to walk a little bit faster. xD; I know it's bad to sterotype people, but yeah, you can never be sure if someone is out to get you. :B

I live in a crappy city where you are best assuming everyone is a criminal. Then, you won't be surprised. No, it isn't paranoia. You should be fine if you:
A) Know how to fight/defend yourself
B) Don't go out past 9PM
