I fell down on ice once. It was on a double diamond mountain slope with rocks and stuff though so that was kinda suck.

I could make many paragraphs about football injuries.
The two most painful would have to be:

Twisting my ankle, but not in a normal, stepping on it. I use to be a goalkeeper and one match, it I jumped up and caught the ball, jumped pretty high and got knocked off balance, as I came down, my right foot rolled and I landed on the side of my foot on my ankle. All my weight onto it. You gently press your weight on your ankle and then imagen your full weight from a couple of feet up on that, I shouted some profanities. I was out of action for 3 weeks as the swelling was so bad.

Second one which was just as painful, was I ran out and picked up the ball as it was coming in fast, as I stood up, the other guy was running towards me and slid in with his foot up. It landed on my square on my knee cap and his momentum was pushing me back, but my momentum was pushing my forwards. We had been running pretty fast too so it took a couple of seconds before we like, stopped moving completely. Obviously, your leg doesn't bend backwards, so that hurt like hell. I jumped up and nearly punched him, but as I got up all my weight just went and I fell over again. I couldn't bend my knee for a couple of days and couldn't really walk for a while, but didn't break anything, which is a miracle.

Goddamn Fabio, you make me want to never play football again ;__;

Oh wow, I used to play as a goalkeeper too and I'll go into detail into a few of the injuries I've suffered.

I was defending the left post and the guy had the ball around half a metre away from me and he booted it straight at my face. We were both really close to each other and his intention was to kick the ball over me and towards the opposite goal post. Unfortunately it smacked me straight in the face at full power and my legs just buckled in and I collapsed. Apart from blurry vision for a few minutes, it surprisingly wasn't too bad.

I once jumped too high to try and catch a ball and it ended up smacking me in the nuts. Another time the guy just booted the ball and it hit me straight in the nuts. Talk about taking one for the team.

The worst goalkeeping injury I've had is when a striker was approaching the goal and I rushed out to cut him off. What happened is that we both ended up colliding our shins against each other and neither one of us had shin guards. That was so agonizingly painful and I actually asked to be taken off the pitch (which I've never done before) but my captain was like "you can keep going" and so I gritted my teeth and got on with it. Oh wow! It's actually fully healed now. The bump is completely gone now. I thought I'd be stuck with it for life but I suppose not!

Haha but they were in very competitive matches, one was in a semi final of a cup near the end and I nearly killed the guy because I couldn't carry on. We won though and went on the win the cup, which was fun! :3

I only played it casually with my university buddies. I never did play football competitively. I used to play cricket and softball competitively a long time ago though.

Yay soccer football talk! Not to mention injuries!

I personally havent been hurt playing football though, worst was a concussion cause by a striker from the under 16's team booting a ball as hard as they could into my face from 5 meters away. (I was twelve.) Worst I've seen in a game was my teams center back broke and dislocated a guys knee at the same time, that was heavy.

The worst I've been hurting in sporting is when I landed head first on a sandbank while surfing. Ruined my neck quite a bit I couldnt really walk for like 15 minutes but you know, no biggie when back out when I could stand up again.

@Capt. Your poor ankle, I can only imagine how painful that would be! Also your balls Drakow, someone better have kissed them better xD.

sports I've played:

Football, Rugby, Cricket (hate cricket), swimming, surfing, running (competitive running.) Basket Ball and golf (It's totally a sport.)

Thankfully I haven't had to suffer too many footballs to the face mainly because we played very casually and most of the time the defenders and strikers in my team did a good job of keeping the ball away from the goal when I was goalkeeping :B

I've still been hit once, and somehow the ball managed to hit my glasses which smashed into my face and left a cut. Thank god it wasn't too serious though lol.

Ew, sports. Don't mind watching some of them - especially stuff like the Olympics! - but actually doing them is another matter entirely. Bleh!

Also your balls Drakow, someone better have kissed them better xD.

For a bit I thought I was misreading this as dirty then I realized I wasn't at all.

Just because someone doesn't like sports doesn't mean they're lazy.

Of course it doesn't. Even I don't like sports. That post just seemed that way because of the way it was worded :B

I really dunno why I don't like sports. lol I've always preferred to watch.

]My only real sport is probably ROM hacking. I hate sports sooo much and I lookout doing nothing so imma be fat later in life.

See, I wouldn't say you like them just because of that, but also because you're good at them :P I can be competitive, which is one reason why I don't like sports, because I'll get competitive but I'll be really bad at it so I'll lose lol.
