I've attempted KH2, FF X, and FF XII, but those all failed :/ I'm just not really good at those types of games where you have to remember spells or figure out where to go next and so on.

I prefer my visual novel ds games like Ace Attorney & 9 hours 9 persons 9 doors :D

I don't know if I liked FF13 or not, tbh. :x I mean, I loved the characters, all of them. But I found it just so frustratingly linear that it kind of bored me after a while. I'm looking forward to FF13 Versus, though, it looks interesting, especially since it's a completely different set of characters with a completely different storyline and all.

ACE ATTORNEY <3 I am so stoked for AAI2 to come out. And I've heard of that 9 persons 9 hours 9 doors game and it looks really good. If I had some money, I would totally buy it. It looks addictive, haha.

You just reminded me that I have yet to finish Investigations fml. how did I forget? D: but yeah, Ace Attorney is amazing <3

AND YOU NEED 999! I finished it in a week, and I devoted more time to it than I do most games, I think it's soooo good. I need someone to talk about it with, my brother's playing and he's being lame and doesn't want all the spoilers :| WHY DO PEOPLE HATE SPOILERS SO MUCH. my avatar is from 999~

It looks like the kind of game that will have me hooked and possibly neglecting the more important things in life. I'm in. :D

Ace Attorney is great

My favourite game still has to be TWEWY or FFTA2 though :>

That's basically how I am with NieR. I can't believe I'm one of the few people here who played that masterpiece.

TWEWY is amazing! I actually just finished playing it for the second time a few weeks ago. :) I think what I liked most about that game was the music, it really gave the whole modern, urban feel to the game. All the characters were really great, too.

I don't do PC gaming, so I have an excuse.

You all, however, should play NieR. It's really cheap by now(I saw a new copy for $15) and it's on the 360 and PS3.

There is no excuse to not play Amnesia the Dark descent, not even a weak heart or a weak bladder would be enough persuasion XD hahahaha

What kind of scary is Amnesia anyways? Is it the kind of scary when a monster just jumps out of a random box and yells "raggle fraggle", a game that is scary because it has an honestly disturbing concept, or is it something else?

that does cost hundreds of dollars.

So there's a reason. oh damn.

Haha, well there are those moments. However, you cannot defend yourself, you can only hide. Your only weapon is a lamp (to see in front of you).

It's not just what pops out that makes it scary, but also the fear of it being there when you least expect it... A sort of constant fear of it looming over.

Plus the sounds... you'd be quick to react if you just heard it.

Well, you're pretty screwed up if your only console is a Wii. How long was it until the console got a bit of good third party support?

So it's not like Dead Space scary where they reuse the same old scares hundreds of times through a level?

People have said it's scarier than Dead Space. One of the stipulations is that you have to maintain your character's sanity, and one way to do so is to stay in the light (or use your lantern), well, you can't really be or hide in the light when a monster is perusing you. But yeah, in Dead Space you can defend yourself so it doesn't really become scary.

Plus there's the fact that most enemies can kill you with 2 hits. There is one enemy that can kill you with one hit too. Also there is a good chase scene where you're being chased by an invincible water demon while the world around you is shaking and turning into a pus like laden place. There are plenty of game commentaries to check out. Though a little bit at the beginning isn't as scary.

Sounds like a good concept at least. I may check it out if I ever decide to use Steam again.
