My Gamecube still works. My Playstation on the other hand crapped out a long time ago. luckily I got the Playstation 3 that is backwards compatable so I can still play the old Disgaea, Katamari, Twisted metal, Silent hill, and Okami! I enjoyed the Gamecube because of how many people can be on it at once instead of everyone waiting around to take turns
 
My Gamecube has been dead for several years now. I kind of Wish it still worked so I could play Colosseum and XD from time to time.

I remember watching X-Play a long time ago and they where running 'tests' on the Xbox, PS2, and Gamecube and when being dropped and being hammered to death, the Gamecube kept kicking!
 
Oh man, I'm thinking about selling my gamecube and some of my games.
 
D: hope you don't plan on trading it in to Gamestop. prepare to get next to nothing!

Holy **** 0____0 That's unreal!
They are something like $240 over here. I've decided that for right now I'm gonna hit up the pawnshop and get me a used DSlite charger (or gamestop, but that's farther away) and eventually go to this game store in the mall called 3DGames. I talked to a guy there once and he said the store has a tech that will fix old broken systems and a DSlite is standard like $20. So I think I'm gonna have them price out my DSlite whenever I get the chance.
 
I plan on trading in my DS Lite for a 3DS. I think the 3DS opens up a lot of new gaming opportunities, and I'm looking forward to getting it. It's an altogether more powerful device. I also can't use WiFi on my current DS because of my WiFi's security, WPA2, so when I get it I can play Pokemon on my DS, lol. I'm also looking forward to playing games in 3D, too.
 
I just got a new DSi last weekend. :/ I think the 3DS is ugly right now and none of the games I want are going to be coming out any time soon so I'm gonna try my best to wait for the inevitable "3DS Lite".
 
Omg I can't wait for that one too. That game, the Layton vs Phoenix Wright game, and Kingdom Hearts is what I'll get the 3DS for. n_n
 
I'll be waiting for the 3DSLite as well, although a 2 year+ backlog may be too much at the beginning. I never played Layton or Paper Mario so I don't care for the 3DS versions.

And I still believe that Final Fantasy Tactics is the best Final Fantasy game. Too bad Tactics Advance didn't follow in its footsteps.

Nintendo announced that they wouldn't be trying to make a new model for at least a while. You can read about this here. You might not be able to get a more compact version on the 3DS for a while, but if you think it's worth the wait, go for it.
 
Apart from Pokemon Black, which I'm playing now, the last game I played on the DS was probably Mario Kart. And that was at least a year ago. I don't even follow console news as much as I used to, although my local HMV is offering free demonstrations of the 3DS until its debut next Friday - over here at least! Might give them a go to see what all the fuss is about: is it really very different?

Since they region-locked the damn thing, I have no reason to really buy one until the new Kingdom Hearts game comes out in English, which could be quite a while from now soooo I have no issues waiting like a year or two. :P Worst case, I pick it up after a price drop rather than get a new system.
 
I am just waiting for Megaman Legends 3 too come out. I have been waiting for years for a new one. Paper Mario 3DS looks great as well.
 
I preordered my 3DS yesterday - I have a gift card that needed using soon so I used it for that - getting the 3DS in Australia with a game and accessary pack for pre-ordering for only a little more than the standard 3DS price in America is not bad at all methinks. =D Only getting one of th launch titles (Street Fighters) - like others I'm waiting for stuff like OoT and Paper Mario which looks like TTYD in gameplay omgefwfjkhwefjhwe =D

Already tried it out at a demo and it is pretty darn good have to say - 3D effect is donee well as is the slider for it and one's eyes adjust to it pretty quickly. Blue is superior btw.
 
I paid for my Black 3DS in full yesterday, so next Sunday I just have to go in the store and pick it up...the only DS game I have is Pokemon White...I really won't buy another one until I beat that one...and that will be a WHILE...the way I've been playing games recently. XD
 
I agree the Gamcube / ps2 (never rely played or owned but so what) was like the best gamming time. So many good games and awesomeness

Eh dont see what the big deal is with 'big' stuff. Ill be getting a 3DS, idc if it would be like a inch thick, ok maybe a lil, but ill get used to it.
Not allot of good release games :o but we'll live really. we got pokemon! :D
/I really hope pokemon dosent go full 3d. and the scaling. dsi to xl dosent really stretch so it works.

ill prob be getting. The pilot wings resort, Mario Kart, Paper Mario, OoT (didnt play 64, not really the GC, so maybe this one. I still think windwaker is better >.>)
super mario ??? (if that was for the 3DS) and ill try out Kindom Hearts. ect

Well it looks like I'm officially broke this month, so I'll have to wait for the 3DS till next month.

Though I probably wasn't going to get it anyway, I think the line at my Gamestop (not sure, wasn;t paying attention) started already.

I hope this isn't like Halo Reach.
 
I love hanging out for midnight releases. It's pretty fun until people show up with squirt guns in the middle of winter.
