Are you questioning my cooking capabilities?

...nah, that's pretty much it hehe...
I'll learn how to cook someday! For now, I'm fine with making with making Top Ramen hehe..
Lol!! XD

I'll have to learn too, otherwise I'll be in for a LOT of unnecessary spending in the future.

I can't cook much either. In 7th grade I took an after school cooking course though. We made rice krispies treats! I haven't had those in a long time! I can make stuff if it comes in a box with directions and stuff but not from scratch. I'd probably burn it or it wouldn't be edible or something... well okay so I'm not that bad! But I'm not a good cook. I was actually thinking about baking a cake today but I kept forgetting to ask my mom if the box was for anything special...

Oooo! Rice Crispey Treats. I haven't had one since fourth grade.
They had the recipes when you buy the box but I didn't make it.
Cooking doesn't fit me....it just doesn't.

That's what I meant by "scratching the box" hehe...
I can make virtually anything, as long as it comes in a box with directions.
That doesn't mean it's going to taste all too good hehe..

Yeah exactly! I can follow directions from a box... but actually making it from scratch isn't going to work! And I never said mine would taste or look great either! My dad does like when I make him cookies though. Peanut butter cookies. The kind from the frozen dough that I got through my chorus fund-raiser. All I have to do is put it on a tray ad bake it... not much work involved there! Excpet trying not to burn them... I've done that so many times!

I don't know what all I can make from scratch...I don't have the ingredients available at home to make anything better than a specialty macaroni and cheese dish :P

I can bake chocolate chip cookies...with the help of my gandma. :P
That's great... I personally forgot how. I learnt how in cooking class in Jr. High and forgot pretty soon.

Edit: SA, cool, grade 7 is when I took a cooking course too!

I remember once on a Girl Scout camping trip (I hated those so much... yet for some reason I went on so many... and hated them more each time!) we once mad mac and cheese from scratch. With white cheese or something. It was really gross whatever it was... I hated everything that happened on Girl Scout trips though... but it was gross. Once my leader made me eat my grilled cheese sandwhich even though it slipped out of my hands and landed in the dirt! Of course I didn't eat it though... that was just disgusting!

Lol... you really are going to call me SA now! Okay! Anyways yeah I took a cooking course through an after school program at my school. I don't remember much from it though. We made smoothies once though. I also took cooking in 8th grade since it was part of the curiculum. My group except me and another girl was really lazy and did nothing! The 2 of us did all the work...

First you go into the kitchen and grab a box of cereal. Then you look for the milk and a bowl. Once you have finished this you pour the cereal in a bowl and then the milk but wait dont forget the sppon or youll die. Man this will take awhile to do but youll fiqure it out good luck.

~Oh Yay~

I wouldn't know where to begin if I were to make it from scratch. Cooking seems rather complicated in a way..
I know, I never said they would hehe...
But, I'm sure if your dad likes them, they can't be too bad!

Burns food....that reminds me of something.
Back in second grade, we had an open house, where our parents came to see our classroom. I left my parents a letter, talking about all the things I love them for. A really funny part I said went like this:
"I love my dad, even though he burns the food sometimes..."
Well, it was funny then hehe...

Same here.
And whenver I do grocery shopping I always end up walking down the wrong aisle looking for something. :P

SA... snowangel... both are pretty I guess. :\ SA! XD Lol, that sounds pretty unfair for you two to have to do all the work... Cooking class was an optional class for me in Jr. High, and I dropped it as soon as I could because, see when I signed up for that class, I had no idea it was about cooking and house work. I forgot what I mistakened it for. That's the stupid yet true reason I took the course.

I don't go grocery shopping with my mom anymore. I find it takes longer than expected all the time.

Yeah it is complicated. We have a lot of cookbooks in my house so if I was to make something from scratch I would start there I guess. But I'd find a way to screw up somehow. And I honestly don't know how my dad likes my burnt cookies! I hate cookies when they get hard! I like them fresh out of the oven! But my dad does like 'em since he always asks me to make 'em...

You said that about your dad's cooking? Wow. My sister said something like that to my dad but not about cooking. She was like 3 or something. It was Christmas and we were opening gifts and she couldn't read who her gift was from. All of a sudden she goes, "Daddy! You're handwriting is so sloppy! Mine is better than that!" I though that was hilarious! To see a 3 year old say an adults handwriting is awful! It was just so funny. But my dad does have hard handwriting to read... I'll admit that!

I don't care if you call me SA... it is a lot shorter than either snowangel or Ashley... but either works. But yeah it was a little unfair. I don't remember the whole situation. But we made the guys who did little work clean up in the end though! But they helped when we did fun stuff...

My dads writing is so big.
They're written nearly all bold and capitalized. :P
The only thing I can't read is my mother's signature.
It's practically all scribble scrabble. XD

All the cookbooks we have are probably of really difficult recipes. I wouldn't be able to make them on my life hehe...
Hmm, maybe he just likes the burnt taste! I don't know hehe...
I used to always make brownies a while ago, and suprisingly they were pretty good!

Yeah, and the funny thing is, his cooking is awesome hehe...
Your little sister said that? That's funny hehe...
That actually sounds a lot like my little sister! She says so many things that amaze me. Both my parents have bad handwriting....but, I shouldn't be talking because my handwriting isn't exactly glamorous either. My sisters have really good hadwriting though.

Well I have used our cookbooks to make french toast and pancakes before. I guess they turned out alright... my grandmother helped me though! I haven't had brownies in so long... I really want some!

Yes, my sister said that! We have it on tape to prove it! When we watched the video over the summer we both found it so hilarious! My handwriting is awful too. It was so bad in elementary school. It was so bad that in 3rd grade I had to stay in for recess since my handwriting awful! That was just mean! But it has gotten better. I write really big and round. I find it funny that my sister insulted my dad's handwriting since hers turned out the worst out of all of us! We can't read half the things she writes!
