I can't say that I trust many teen drivers myself...they do have the highest crash rate of any age group, but that's mainly because they don't see driving as a responsibility like they should...some of the teens I know who can drive just like to get liquored up and cruise around at 80 MPH or more...but I just don't see why my parents don't think I should be allowed to drive right now, I'd probably be the most cautious driver on the road =/ Insurance prices might factor in too...I don't have a job so I could never pay the rates they charge for 16-year-olds...

Yeah...and they complain when they get a ticket.
80 MPH? The fastest my dad ever drove was on an expressway at 60 MPH.
I'd be pretty cautious also. I mean I look both ways atleast 3 times when I walk across the street. Well...not all the time. :P
Is it 18 or 16 when you're to drive?

I know what you mean about teen drivers never letting pedestrians across...I get driven home every day by my mom and she's usually the only one who ever stops to let kids across the street. Our school is on the edge of town so everyone who walks home usually has a long way to go, so the least anyone could do is let them on the correct side of the street, but nobody ever does that, and I'd be scared to be a pedestrian anyway because I'd likely be run over in the middle of the crosswalk by some idiot who was in a hurry. I wouldn't have anywhere to drive either, maybe to school and back...I suppose my two motivations are that I want to feel as adult as everyone else and have a car, and I want to be able to drive friends around if ever they need a lift...no one's ever said anything bad about me for not having a car, but I expect someone will sooner or later...
If I walk home from school it takes me about 10 or 15 minutes depending on how long I actually have to wait to cross the street. I really only need to cross once and it is at a crosswalk... too bad there isn't a crossing guard. I never understood why there wasn't though... the street I cross is like the 2nd busiest in town! So there's always a lot of cars. My dad lets kids cross the street all the time too... but it seems like he's one of the only ones who does. Even adults don't stop for me. But I've been walking home long enough to figure out ways to cross... sometimes I'll just go since the law does say they have to stop for me. So if there's enough room I'll just go! But usually I wait until the cars are out of sight since I do get scared to cross sometimes... or I'll wait until the cars pulling out have to turn left! That's the perfect chance to cross... but it does bring me to another point. A lot of teens don't use signal light either. Or seat belts for that matter. And they tend to have the radio really loud and are on cell phones. And they usually have overcrowded cars too...

My mom says that when I drive I'll have to drive my sister around to dance and all her activities. And I'll have to drive myself to dance since my classes are past my mom's bedtime (like 7!). I won't get to drive to school since my parents need the cars. And there's some new law at least in CT where you're not allowed to have passengers for like the first 6 months you have your license... it's like, only one passenger and they have to be over 21 with a license or something like that. They changed the CT driving laws in January so I don't really know what they changed... but that means I can't drive my friends anywhere...

16 is legal driving age here. At 18 you can vote and 21 you can drink. I hate when people complain about tickets and stuff since they obviously did something wrong to get it in the first place! My dad is a police so I should know these things...

Wow, we have glow tags now! Awesome!

Here we have to be 15.5 to be in drivers' ed and to drive with parental supervision, and we can drive legally at 16. The thing is my parents won't let me until I'm 18 though -.-;;

are age limit is this At 16 legal age to drive , 18 able to vote and 19 your are able to drink and go to casinos and stuff. I never even got my driver lience yet, I prob will sometime O_o,
Around here drivers are not that bad , it's rare that they don't let ppl cross the street.

I have no idea why people even like to drink.
Your father is a police? Cool!...I always had a question to ask. Does your father come home often? I always think they spend their time in the police department.

I don't know what the fasination with drinking is either. A lot of teens probably just drink because it's illegal to do so here. And because their friends do. I don't get it though...

Yes, my dad is a police. But he doesn't work at the police dept. He works at the airport. Does he come home often? Well he works night shifts so he sleeps all day and wakes up around 5. But he hurt his knee again about a month ago so he hasn't gone to work in awhile... actually he went back last Wednesday or something for like 2 days... and now he's been off. But he is going to work tonight I think. I'll find out in 20 minutes when he leaves! And I don't think police that do work at the police dept. spend all their time there...

LOL, I remember this one time where I had a nightmare where I took my mom's car and went driving in it (I am still unaware of why, but you know how dreams work). oO I can't remember where I took it, but all I know is that I was scared to death. Anyways, I just want it so that I don't have to put up with my parents complaining when I want a drive to the store to get something, and because I don't like walking to school and home. =P
I always have those dreams, but my sister and a random cousin are also with me.

Some people like the taste of beer, and also like to drink it when they're depressed (since beer is an anti-depressant). I have tried beer before, and to be honest, I think it tastes a bit gross. oO I think I will just stick to Coke, unless I like beer when I grow up. Heh, right now I am *GASP* procrastinating, somewhat. =P I really should be trying to memorize my French presentation, but I won't be able to memorize it in one night, and we don't have to so oh well.

Heh, there was this one dream that I had that was similar to the one I said, but instead of me driving, it was my sister. I was trying to get her to stop the car so I could get out, but I couldn't. We just got out of the driveway before I woke up.

NO! Don't procrastinate! It's bad FT! Trust me on this one, I should know! At least there is nothing for me to procrastinate on now since tomorrow is my last day! And it's only chorus so nothing to study for or anything.

As for beer... I think it's gross too. I just don't like it at all... not that I've ever drunk any of it before... but it's still gross. I prefer coke too! And I think I'll stick with that for now!

I tried taking a sip of beer when I was very young. My father knew what would've been my reaction so he took a picture of me right after I drank it. :P
Boy did my face look sour.

Hmm probaly the police department that I see from my window shifts people too. I see it open 24/7.
Being a police sounds like a hard job. Does he get paid well?

I have never drank in my life nor, will I ever , Tho my brother does bug me to drink wine O_o and I keep tellin him no XD even know im legal age to do so .

I have tasetd wine and it's nasty, really. I have drank other alcohalic drinks, but they're not all that good to me. I've never gotten drunk either.

Yeah yeah, I know that you have had a lot of experience in procrastinating. =P Don't worry, I am not procrastinating that much, I did finish my French oral presentation, I just haven't memorized it yet. I have an hour and a half in between my Math exam and my French oral presentation, so I will go over it then. =P I am DEFINITELY not procrastinating at all for the Science exam, though. I can easily get an 80% on it, I just need to gather all of my notes, and read all of them thoroughly.

When I was little... like 3 or 4 or maybe 5... my grandfather had my cousins and me drink wine. He used to make his own wine in the basement and stuff since he was Italian. I don't plan on drinking a lot if at all when I get to be legal age. I just don't see any point to it right now... but apparently most of the other sophomores in my school do. According to my town's newspaper the 10th graders drink the most out of the four grades in the high school...

Well I guess my dad gets paid well (when he goes to work). But I don't know what his salary is. He does plan to retire soon though. He wants to be a sub... but I don't know why! When he goes on watch or whatever he used to bring his laptop to watch DVDs... doesn't that make our airport sound so safe! Oh, and he did go to work tonight...

Yeah I am an expert procrastinator FT! I know and I guess you do too! Don't fall into that habbit... it's bad! I'm gonna try to break it for junior year though! I'll try. Memorize it then! At least you got it done though... if it were me, I would probably be working on it now... that's how bad I am...

The only thing that I have had was a little bit of wine once during communion at my church last year when I grabbed that instead of grape juice by accident. It tasted really bad. Hopefully I'll never make that mistake again...
