Rex

"You don't think we should kill Gray, right? I mean, surely we can convince him…"

Rex shakes his head, looking down at Tulip, asleep in his arms. "I don't think we should kill anybody. I only kill things if I'm gonna eat them. I think Gray needs a serious attitude adjustment, and I wouldn't mind knocking some sense into him, but he's still a decent guy. Somewhere deep down, I mean."

Arryn
Arryn breathes a sigh of relief. Rex is on the same page… Darren, on the other hand, would probably jump at the chance to end Gray.

"Deep down, yeah," she agrees with him. "Maybe we should look for him before we meet Darren… he's not entirely thrilled with Gray's ways of handling things." Neither am I, for that matter – but if I can stop people from getting hurt, then I'll be the reckless one.

Darren

Darren stared into the fountain as he thought back to the encounter in the streets moments before. "Failure. The guy is sent to kill someone, which he doesn't do, and he has the nerve to call me a failure?". Houndoom looked up as it's trainer spoke. Houndoom growled as it saw a black figure coming toward them in the sky. Darren turned around and looked to see what it was. "It's Aerodactyl, I was wondering when it would come back." Darren whistled, signalling the pokemon to come back down. Aerodactyl landed ontop of the fountain and held it's wings out. "Welcome back." Darren sat on the edge of the fountain and looked at his two pokemon. Darren glanced at the park gate, "Well, looks like we're still on our own. It also appears that we've overstayed out welcome here, now that people know I'm a hybrid. Think it's time to move to the next city?" Aerodactyl and Houndoom nodded in agreement. "Alright then, once the sun goes down we'll head out. Until then we'll do some training just incase we run into more trouble."

Darren sent out his remaining two pokemon. "Honedge, you'll train wiith me. Arbok and Houndoom you train together. Aerodactyl, you can take a break since you've been flying all night and day". Darren drew his katana and walked with Honedge to a tree as Houndoom and Arbok ran off somewhere else.

Rex

Rex shrugs off his jacket, laying it over Tulip like a blanket, the girl still unconscious in his arms. "What about Tulip? We can't let Gray near her if she's asleep like this. Who knows what he'd do to her, in his current state?"

Hawk

Rex's Hawlucha lands on a street light, perching there while he surveys the park. Somehow he had lost sight of the Aerodactyl he had been following, but it was definitely in the park somewhere. He leaps into the sky again, gliding over the park in search of Darren.

The park being only an acre or so, Hawk eventually spots the Hybrid, training with his Honedge by a tree. Hawk lands nearby, striking a pose and doing a small Dance of Victory (TM).

Gray

. . .

"Maybe I'll go to the Apartment they all hang in. Once they open the door and see me waiting, They'll be in for a surprise... I'll attack whoever walks in first..."

"No... Maybe I'll wait for all of them to walk in... "

"Eh... I'll think about it when I get there." I said to myself, going back to the apartment.

Darren

Darren swung his katana up just as Honedge used Slash and blocked the attack. Darren responded by lunging forward but Honedge moved to the swide and knocked the blade out of Darren's hands. Honedge did a spin and stopped with the tip of it's blade infront of Darren's face between his eyes. "I think we're good on speed" Darren stepped around the steel pokemon and knelt down to pick up his sword. Darren saw something in the corner of his eye and turned his head to see a Hawlucha land near him. Darren quickly held his katana ready to strike but lowered the blade as he watched the pokemon do a dance. "Hi?" Darren said as he looked around for the pokemon's trainer, assuming it belonged to someone.

Arryn
Arryn starts the trek back to the apartment, eyes flicking around her every so often, alert. A sneak attack right now would be a nightmare and it seems us Hybrid's have outstayed our welcome with the public.

In about ten minutes, Arryn is shoving the door open, annoyed by how rickety and unstable it is.

Darren

Hawlucha jumped onto a bench and reclined. "That was weird". Darren turned to Honedge "let's go find Houndoom and Arbok.". Darren and Honedge left Hawlucha on the bench and went into the trees to look for Darren's other pokemon.

Houndoom sniffed the ground looking for Arbok. A black smoke came down from the trees, blocked Houndoom's sight. Arbok leaped out of a tree and wrapped itself around Houndoom, squeezing as tight as it could. Houndoom bit Arbok, rolled to get the snake off of it, then jumped out of the smoke. Houndoom fired a flamethrower at the cloud of smoke, barely missing Arbok. "Alright guys, you can stop" Darren walked up to the two pokemon who froze mid-attack as their trainer appeared. "Let's head back to the fountain and take a break".

Hawk

Hawlucha jumps off the bench when Darren leaves, making sure to keep him in sight. As Darren talks to Arbok and Houndoom, Hawk leans against a tree, crossing his wings over his chest.

Rex

Rex follows Arryn, letting her worry about anyone following them or jumping out at them. When they finally reach the apartment, he lets her open the door, crouching down to fit his massive body through the frame. "You just sleep, Tulip. You'll be in a nice, warm bed soon enough."

Gray

its been A few minutes of me just walking, Letting my rage and anger build up. Finally, my eyes were set upon the apartment building that I had once sleep in. I approached the entrance door, Thinking about what I would do if the whole group of Hybrids show up after me.

Once at the door entrance, I walked up the stairs, letting each step make as much noise as possible.

Soon I arrived at the door to the room, and without hesitation, I kicked it, Breaking it down completely. As the door fell to the ground, my eyes gazed upon the individuals that were going to suffer...

I never expected them to be here before me... This is good...

I grinned, And as I did, the once yellow electricity around me was no more, And a new fury of blue lighting took its place. My grin soon transitioned to a glare that looked down upon each and everyone in the room. The electricity became strong enough to vaporize a few surrounding objects around me.

The thin lightning from before was different. It seemed like the other lightning from before was made for protection, but now... I feel it wanting to harm all in its way! Yes... This power is what I've been searching for!

The dangerous power soon engulfed me.

Time to test my other move... "BOLT STRIKE..."

Arryn
The door creaks open from behind and Arryn twists around to see the intruder, instantly freezing as her eyes land on Gray.

The look in his eyes after he robbed the Pokemart doesn't even compare to how malicious he seems now. She can hardly recognise him.

"Gray… what happened to you?"

She was never afraid of him before, mildly concerned of a sneak attack but despite what he said, she didn't think he would kill her. Now her heart hammers in her chest, fearful of what he has become.

She barely knows him, the time she spent with him wasn't entirely great either but he's not a bad person… arrogant, maybe but not a monster.

His body is engulfed in powerful electricity, unlike anything Arryn has witnessed in her life. Her arm moves to block Tulips sleeping figure in Rex's arms, carefully.

"Bolt Strike...!"

Arryn throws her body back, slamming into Rex and Tulip to flatten them all to the ground, away from Gray's attack.

Crap...

Arryn focuses on the shard around her neck, the one thing that keeps her powers under control. She flings her hand towards Gray, a sharp piece of ice in the form of a dagger materialises out of the water from the air - it hurtles towards him, deep into the collar of his jacket and pins him to the wallpaper covered wall.

"What are you doing?" She yells at him, hurt and concerned.

Gray

As the Ice hurls at me, And pins me to the wall, I glared at the seemingly desperate girl. I had nothing to say to her... The only thing that needed to be heard was her deathly screams. I turned from her to the Ice pinning me to the wall.

I tried to grab the Ice out of my collar and pull it out, But as my hand got close enough to it, I felt the cold air emanating out if it. At that moment, I knew if I were to touch it, my hand would instantly freeze.

I look back at her, My expression the same. I point my other hand at her, and let my lightning shoot at her. Since my power is fairly new and powerful, I haven't fully mastered controlling it, So the strike intended for her head, was directed at her legs.

Arryn
The lighting aimed for her legs barely grazes her shins, she crumbles slightly but manages to give him a look of frustration.

"Are you going to let Giovanni control you like this?" Arryn snaps at him. "He has got in your head and is using you as his puppet."

Closing her eyes, she backtracks – this isn't the way to get through to him.

Arryn steels herself, nervous and closes the distance to take his face in her hands, forcing him to look at her. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I screwed up. I never should have exploded the way I did." She searches his eyes, looking for the Gray that was on the floor of her apartment reconsidering his choice to aid Giovanni and swore not to go through on his orders.

She releases his face, awkwardly and takes hold of the icicle holding him to the wall, prepared to free him. "Don't let Giovanni make you into someone you're not."

Gray

"Are you going to let Giovanni control you like this?" Arryn snaps at him. "He has got in your head and is using you as his puppet."

I turned away, Not facing her as if that could blind me from the truth.

Arryn steels herself, nervous and takes his face in her hands, forcing him to look at her. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I screwed up. I never should have exploded the way I did."

My eyes widen as she throws her pride for what she believes to be right.
This... This isn't something I expected. I came with intentions to kill her... I swore to myself I wouldn't let this happen, Yet here I am. Being manipulated by these... Feeling, that Giovanni said I had.

"Don't let Giovanni make you into someone you're not."

Right then and there, I dropped by weapons and halted my electric charge, and knew that I will never be able to harm this girl or Step up to her. I knew I was lacking something... Compassion...

"I... I concede..." I said, Diverting my eyes away from her. "I can't do anything to you at this point. My feelings are stopping me. You managed to break me down inside out... Something nobody has ever done, And for that... I give..." I say, also throwing my pride away.

Arryn
She almost can't believe it as Gray concedes, the fire in his eyes diminishes greatly and for the first time, she genuinely smiles at him.

Taking the ice out of his jacket, she looks over her shoulder at Rex, then back to Gray.

"Guess we're a group again - we should look for Darren now and explain the situation."

Rex

Rex kept his back to the fight, shielding Tulip with his massive frame. He lets out a sigh of relief once Gray concedes. "Let's get Tulip settled in. She's a delicate flower, and it's been a long day." He lays her on the bed, putting a light blanket over her.

He claps Arryn on the shoulder, flashing her a smile. "Keep strong, Arryn. You don't have to take on all these burdens."

He places his other hand on Gray's shoulder, giving him a smile too. "You have a lot of darkness in you, my friend. You need to learn to let it go."

Before they leave, he writes a quick note for Tulip:

We found Gray, and he's our friend again. We're going to find Darren.

"Blaze, look after her." He sends out his Blaziken, who gets comfortable by the bed. "If she wakes up while we're out, give her the note."
