If you don't want to mess with the whole egg group thing, just use a Ditto and whatever Pokemon you want to breed, since Ditto works with ANY PKMN
No it is not. Is isn't random. The species of the pokemon depends on the FEMALE. So, if you put in a male Salamence & a female Charizard, you'll get a Charizard. However, the male pokemon determines the moves. So if your male Salamence has Dragon dance, thenyour Charmander will have Dragon Dance. the sex is usually random, unless a poke is unisex, like Blissey. However, there are percentages of getting a certain sex. For example, Eevee has a 85.25% chance of being male, and has a 12.75% chance of being female.
