Rumors are dirty little things that we try our best not to get caught up in personally. Sometimes, its very difficult to do so, though, and we fall victim to them and lose ourselves in one or another. So my question to you:

1. Have you ever spread a rumor? Intentionally, or not.
2. Have you ever believed a rumor without finding out if it's true or not?
3. Have you ever been a victim of a rumor?

As for me, I don't recall ever spreading a rumor intentionally. I can't say with certainty that I haven't spread one, though. Often when I hear a rumor, I don't believe it to be true. However, I do become very curious and try my best to find. At the moment, though, if its a rumor being spread infront of my face, I would usually nod and smile and say "mhm" until whoever it is saying it to me is finished. Maybe its because I'm rather socially awkward, but... I dunno. Have I ever been a victim of a rumor? Hmmm... I'm sure I have before I entered high school, but I don't recall ever being a victim after that.

I try to find out whether a rumour is true or not, but it depends on whether the rumour is believable or not. If someone said something like, "Karen crapped her pants in front of the whole school yesterday, chances are I wouldn't believe it. But if someone said something like, "He's got his driver's licence", that'd be something more believable.

Basically this. I hate people related rumours, they're just another way people use to kill time in a non-productive manner.

I've never heard a rumour about another person that I know. I've heard rumours about people that I don't know and I couldn't care less about whether it was true or not.

Only one I know about is that a lot of people thought I was homosexual in my last school, I thought it was quite funny.

1) Yes, loads of times. I'm evil, so my friends say. But I can't help but spice things up in the neighborhood. xD

2)Once or twice, yeah. But I usually strive to find out for myself.

3) Yes, in 8th grade. Worst yet best year of school ever. xD

I've probably spread a rumor one or twice before, but never intentionally. I've never liked the idea of spreading secrets or stories around (especially those that might not even be true). If I talk about something to someone, it's someone I know I can trust and rely on. As for believing in rumors, I never jump into believing it right away. I would either brush it off my shoulder if it's no importance to me, or I would probably do a little "unnoticeable" sneaking around to find out whether it's true or not.

I've probably had rumors spread around about me before, but I couldn't give a direct answer on that. Most likely it could have happened in middle school, but once I got into high school, I wouldn't think any rumors might have been spread about myself. I know for sure that during my Junior and Senior year (currently in) no rumors could have been spread involving me as I'm taking all my courses online.
