HISTORY

​

Digimon: Digital Monsters... once created as simple digital creatures whose primary function was to entertain a couple of computer engineers, eventually evolved into an entire world of monsters who gained knowledge comparable to their human creators and counterparts. As time carried on and the humans forgot about the Digital Monsters, the creatures continued to prosper and create their own world opposite the "Real World" known as the Digital World. Hundreds of digital years later (which served a few decades in Earth years), the Digital World called for a group of virtuous children, dubbed the Digidestined, to help both worlds from the threat of the almighty Dark Masters and their leader, Apocalymon. Though the forces of darkness were defeated, about two and a half years later, darkness rose again in the form of MaloMyotismon. With the help of the Digidestined across the entire world, the darkness of the Digital World and the Real World was purified, bringing peace and tranquility to both worlds.

That was decades ago in the Real World and centuries in the Digital World. During this time of evolution and transformation, several things changed. It was assumed that Digimon and humans were capable of coexisting with one another as many of the Digimon lived with their human partners in the Real World. This proved to be problematic as many Digimon began to abandon their home in the Digital World to live among the humans. As you could imagine, evil Digimon manifested which caused chaos between the two worlds, leading the patriarch of the Digital World, ClavisAngemon, to close and lock the Digital Portal with his Celestial Key and delete the humans' memories of Digimon as well as the Digimons' memories of humans. He assumed that this loss of memory would be for the betterment of both worlds.

What ClavisAngemon did not expect was for rebellion to ensue in the Digital World. With the Digimon returning to the Digital World and no knowledge of their relationship with the humans, several Digimon began attacking one another for the sake of territory. When Digimon lost their territory, they went elsewhere to claim territory from other Digimon. This cycle continued repeatedly until constant war came about in the Digital World. ClavisAngemon, in over his head, decided that perhaps it probably would be best to open the Digital Port once more and expose the Digimon to the humans yet again. Would this opening of the gate save the Digital World from implosion?​

STORY

The city of Los Angeles is known distinctly as the city of angels. Youth is a driving force for California's largest city in more ways than one could imagine. What's the average day for a young adult in the city of Los Angeles? Well, surely it varies. There are many young adults who attend the University of California - Los Angeles; others are in search of making their entertainment career a successful one; and there are those who are just enjoying the Califronian lifestyle at their basic full-time job. Your lifestyle just depends on how hard you work or perhaps who you know around the city.

Your public life may seem pretty normal, but your private life is anything but normal. For some strange reason, ever since you could remember, you've been followed around and partnered with a certain creature that talks to and understands you. For some, it's a furry ball of joy for others it's scaly but lovable creature. Nonetheless, this little guy or girl monster has been with you through thick and thin. As you grew older, you though you were crazy and now that you're of a mature age, you're all but sure that you are, indeed, crazy. You don't tell your human friends about your little bundle fire, but sometimes you can't help but to wish that someone else understood what you were going through. Little do you know, that day would surely come: the day where you figure out that you're not the only crazy one in this world.

THE REAL WORLD

The entirety of the Real World portion of this roleplay will take place in the city of Los Angeles unless otherwise noted. Los Angeles is one of the largest cities in the United States of America and is also known for its endless possibilities of adventure, excitement, and unpredictability. The surrounding areas consist of Hollywood, the University of California at Los Angeles, the beach, Disney World theme park, and many other enjoyable attractions that one could entertain themselves with. There are also several places where a person can stay, but keep in mind that the cost of living is considerably high. It is perhaps in your best interest if you choose a boarding area that is suitable to your expenses. Most people in the late teens to early twenties find safe haven in apartments and often times share suites with their friends.​

THE DIGITAL WORLD

Home to the entire species of Digimon, the Digital World is divided into multiples areas where separate species of Digimon with similar qualities coexist with one another. After the Digimon returned to their home world, a fight and struggle for power in these territories ensued, causing not only the destruction of other Digimon, but their respective areas as well. With little to no leadership overseeing these separate areas and ClavisAngemon struggling to maintain a patriarchal grasp over the entire Digital World, many of the areas are in a state of complete and utter chaos. The Digital World is certainly experiencing dark times. Below are a list of the multiple areas that are accessible through Digital Ports within the Digital World. Some areas will not accessible immediately. These areas also house several quests.

INFORMATION

D-Phone

The D-Phone serves as the primary digivice for the Digidestined. The D-Phone is comparable to the iPhone in that it utilizes applications in order to achieve certain functions such as the Digipedia App (Digimon Encyclopedia), the Atlas App, the Digivolution App, and many more. The D-Phone also doubles as a regular cellular device and is capable of not only calling other normal phones, but tracking the location of other users of the D-Phone and partner Digimon as well. When applications are downloaded to the D-Phone, a voice will notify the holder of the digivice.

Digivolution

Digivolution App V.1 - The basic application series of digivolution. Having possession of this application in the D-Phone allows a Digimon to digivolve from Fresh to In-Training, In-Training to Rookie, or Rookie to Champion. In order for a Digimon to digivolve to the further levels, one must possess the software update of this application.

Armor Digivolution App V.1 - The Armor Digivolution application is automatically installed to the D-Phone upon entering the Digital World and is only accessible in the Digital World and allows Rookie Digimon to digivolve into their Armor form. In order to use this application, one must be in possession of one of the ancient Armor Digi-Eggs that are scattered across the Digital World.

Digivolution App V.2 - The second series of the Digivolution App is obtained when a Digimon stores enough digital memory from its opponents and its Tamer shows virtuous attributes while in the vicinity of their Digimon. Version is not as easily accessibly as the first version upon first installment, but after a while, the update becomes much easier to run in a time of need. This application allows Champion Digimon to digivolve into their Ultimate form.

Memory Digivolution App V.3 - The final update of the Digivolution App, the Memory Digivolution App is only accessible when a Digidestined is in possession of one of the eight DigiMemory Apps (Dark, Holy, Dragon, Beast, Aquan, Bird, Machine, or Plant). Once a Digidestined is in possession of one of the DigiMemories, he or she is capable of using the power of the DigiMemory to digivolve their partner Digimon to its most powerful form. The Memory Digivolution uses the memory of previous battles as well as all of the Digimon in the respective species to form a Mega powerful Digimon.[/B]​

QUESTS

As a Digidestined, there will be a series of quests that need to be accomplished in order to push the plot forward. There will also be random quests that have no bearing on the plot, but serve a purpose of keeping you occupied. These quests can vary between defeating a major Digimon to spending time with another character and getting to know them. Battles will never be between players unless, of course, there is an in-game conflict that is discussed with the GMs or with everyone else in the OOC thread. Below are a list of quests. Digidestined are only allowed one quest at a time. Completed quests will be posted below as well.

Appearance:

Summer is a tall, thin, girl with long, straight reddish hair and very pale skin that gets burnt easily in sunlight and seems unable to produce freckles of any kind. She might be the least curvy girls she knows of in her own age; rather than having suitable portions of body fat on relevant sides of her back and front, her body responds quickly to any exercise and has given her slim muscles instead. Her eyes are round and bright, the irises an icy blue variant. She usually wears narrow, dark jeans, Converse shoes and a short, brown leather jacket under which simple long-sleeved t-shirts without prints are the most common clothing. She sometimes puts her long hair up into a tight horsetail, but most often just lets it hang loosely.​

Personality:

At first glance, Summer comes across to most as a cute young woman with no hidden agendas. When you talk to her, she will likely either appear rather serious or rather sarcastic, depending on who you are to her, and what the situation is. She seldom lies and doesn't like to keep secrets; openness and truth always wins in the end, is her belief. She is very tolerant and patient when it comes to everyday life and handling people, especially people who act silly or downright mean. She never participates in questionably legal or decent business, goes to bed at proper times every day and even though she doesn't have many friends, she sort of enjoy solitude and doesn't feel bad about it.

All in all, she is a pretty serious, cute young woman who can come across as a bit dry or even scary sometimes, because of her tendency to calmly analyze anyone insulting her rather than to retort quickly. If you also know that she practices karate as a way to stay in shape, it might add to her ability to intimidate you. In truth, her karate exercises have probably mostly been a way for her to blow off some steam and get her frustrations out throughout her teenage years; one can only be patient and live with such a dorky family without letting it all out for so long.​

History:

Summer's life is fine and all, but there are some points about it that makes her a bit different. Firstly, she doesn't live with her mother. Only with her father and his single mother. Some year after her birth, Summer's parents divorced and her father gained custody over the child. Over the years, Summer's grandma acted as some kind of surrogate mother and sister and crazy old lady, while her father seemed to never lose his childish ways. It didn't help that he was a best-selling writer with enough money to be able to buy ridiculous grown-up toys and play with all day when he wasn't writing, either. Summer's mother? She was an actress, often moving from town to town to go where the jobs were. Throughout Summer's life, her mother only visited for some time every other year, but it wasn't as sad as it sounds. The mother was quite the irresponsible and unfocused person, even compared to her ex-husband, and Summer was pretty glad to not have to live with her permanently.

Perhaps as a contrast to all of the weird people in her family, Summer grew up to be a rather serious and self-sufficient person who refused to take her father's wealth for granted. Her relationship with her father was most often sarcastic, but loving enough, but subconsciously she made sure to stay out of any trouble like alcohol or boys during her teenage years. Mostly because she had heard stories about her father at that age, and didn't want to become the childish person he was today. Even though she loved him. You don't have to want to be like every person you love, right?​

Hmm, I've always had a love for Digimon.

Name: Tyler Owens

Age: 20

Gender: Male

Appearance:
Tyler looks like your typical rocker/scene kid, well, minus the gauges, since they look horrible. He has medium-long, dark brown, straight hair that is swept to the side, slightly past either eye. His eyes have been described as black holes, but in all actuality he has really dark brown eyes. Tall wouldn't be a good way to describe Tyler, instead he's closer to what one would call average height, coming in at around 5'11"/6'0". His energetic singing career (if you want to call it that) has helped him to tone his slightly tan body and maintain a rather athletic appearance.

In true scene kid fashion, his wardrobe is primarily music oriented t-shirts. If he's not wearing a band shirt, then he can be found wearing a purple and white striped shirt. Various pairs of jeans tend to accompany his shirts, along with a no nonsense black leather belt. Typically, a black and white pair of low top shoes is Tyler's shoes of choice, since they are good for pretty much anything. Sometimes Tyler wears a stocking cap, usually to help keep his hair out of his face when doing normal daily activities, and whenever the weather calls for it he wears a black zip-up hoodie. A handicraft black and red wristband with the words "When Negotiations Fail" adorns his left wrist (a gift from a friend's kid sister for him and his band).

Personality:
The most notable trait that can be observed in Tyler is his love for music and singing. Growing up in a particularly restrictive family, music served as an outlet. Naturally, he picked up the more rebellious genres which ultimately developed his sense of music and singing. He's at his nicest when putting on a show, often acting like a completely different individual than he does around friends. If you can talk music (his kind) then Tyler is instantly friendly, even more so if you've heard him perform and liked it.

Normally, Tyler is jaded and hard to surprise. Most of this stems from his parents raising him to be studious. His appearance actually betrays his intelligence, seeing how he's a rather learned person, knowing a fairly good bit of information about several forms of science and art (including literature). If for some reason his music life doesn't develop the way he plans, he'd be interested in a career in genealogy or foreign arts and culture.

When around others that he is unfamiliar with he usually puts up a façade, mostly to develop a good first image. You only get one first impression, and he aims to not blow his over some snide comment he'd be likely to say around good friends. When around his friends he is significantly more relaxed, and often cracks up or makes sarcastic remarks. If he isn't being sarcastic then he's either being blunt or deceptive, and neither are what somebody wants to hear. When he's being blunt, it usually indicates he is serious about it, though the same could be said for when he's being manipulative. For the latter, it's a means to an end, more than likely used to avoid a stressful situation or to put him in a favorable position.

History:
Tyler grew up like many kids. Both parents working all the time, pressuring him to do good in school, oh, and not letting him do very much other than school. They obsessed over him getting a good education, to the point where an outsider would've thought they were over protective of Tyler. The reality was much simpler and a tad grimmer. It was as simple as they didn't want to spend money on his education once he graduated from high school. In their mind, if you weren't smart enough to get a full ride, then you weren't smart enough to even go. Regardless of how silly the notion was, it's how he was raised. Eventually (around ten or eleven years old) he found solace in music, to which he quickly became absorbed in. Simple things, like singing in the shower or falling asleep to ballads became routine, which worried his parents. They thought his new obsession would serve as a distraction.

By the time Tyler had entered his preteens, he had realized he had a pretty decent singing voice. Singing became an offshoot passion of his, as well as a tool for him to meet other people with a similar taste in hobbies. School was more of a social experience for him at this point, a place to meet new friends instead of a place to learn. It's where he met his future guitarist and best friend, Thomas Campbell. They quickly developed the notion of making a band, but were left a little absent of willing participants. That all changed once they got to high school.

Now at the awesomely terrible age of thirteen, he was exposed to a whole new environment. It was like "a melting pot of stupid," at least, that's what Thomas would often tell Tyler. For a while they felt kind of left out, always on the outside of what many would consider the popular crowd. A few months in to the semester they finally found a crowd that shared their interests. Two of the people they had met through this group were a brother and sister, Randy and Liz Smith. Apparently, Randy was a pretty well-known drummer back in his middle school and Liz wasn't too shabby with a bass either. A couple of years passed and they all decided that they wanted to try their hand at being in a band. They had decided on the name When Negotiations Fail due to a hostage situation they had seen on TV while thinking about band names. Throughout the rest of their high school days they only managed to do really small shows for non-music venues, and before they knew it, high school was over and they had graduated.

After high school Tyler went on to attend USC's Thornton School of Music, on a scholarship, of course. His first two years of college were hectic, but fruitful for his musical talents. Most of his time was studying music theory, mastering different ways of song progression and refining his vocal range. During the summer of his second year of college his band caught a break and was asked to be one of the opening acts for their hometown heroes, A Skylit Drive. Before the show, Thomas handed out some wristbands that his little sister had made to commemorate the event. After that show they had decided they would start working on an EP and would continue their attempts to get signed to a record label. Now Tyler just turned 20, and is in his third year of college.

Oh goody, another Digimon RP! Here's mine:

Name: Giselle "Elle" Mank.

Age: 20.

Gender: Female.

Appearance: Beauty isn't everything and Elle has had to learn that the hard way. At one point in her life she strived to become what society wanted: thin, perky and cosmetically pretty. Thankfully she gave up those ambitions before they became too detrimental to her mental and physical health. Beyond caring Elle wears her thin, deep brown-almost-black hair down with most of it tucked behind her ears so that it's out of her face. Her olive complexion signifies her Southern European heritage and is what Elle loves most about herself. Almost if to match the undertones of her skin her eyes are a murky green with gold flecks scattered around. Her height is slightly above average, tall, but not too tall. Unashamed that she is a bit bigger than most girls in the hips, sides, and chest. Who doesn't like curves? Still not completely comfortable Elle wears some sort of t-shirt underneath a worn, red overcoat that has three different-shaped buttons. Jeans of any kind, Elle doesn't have a preference, are usually cut into shorts for her to wear. They are her favorite piece of clothing and loves living in California because she can wear them almost year around. A pair of black rain boots accompanies this outfit to finish it off.

Personality: Amongst her few friends Elle is know as someone who doesn't like to be taken serious. The emotion to her is, well, boring and only tends to use it if the situation absolutely calls for it. She's one who would throw out a joke or witty retort rather than take the somber approach. Life is too short to risk not having a good time, which is essentially Elle's motto. Those who do participate in the "serious lifestyle" are the people Elle tends to automatically distance herself from. Solo or in a group Elle is fine being social is a trait that she has picked up, but not something she seeks. Over the course of a few years Elle has shifted her life from a more family-oriented one into an independent one. By choice she is used to being alone and that doesn't bother her as much as people think it does. Friends are still much apart of her daily life and isn't a loner by any means, but being by herself does her some good in the long run.

Swimming against the current is too much of a tedious task for Elle and she'd much rather go with the flow. It's simple and easier to do, as it involves less thinking on her part. Also, that leads to less responsibility, something Elle has always screwed up on. So, letting others decide the major things works out well for her. Sometimes Elle can have thoughtful insight into situations and if she's really bold she might voice them to others. Sticking to the background is what she does best; observation is a task Elle quite frankly enjoys. The limelight isn't for her, there are much better people suited for it. While Elle likes to get to know people she doesn't like to pry into people's histories or personalities. People who ask too many questions are annoying and she doesn't like answering much of anything herself so she would never force that onto anyone else.

History: Elle was born to a French immigrant who came to America in her youth along with her parents. Elle never knew her father, but that really never became an issue in her life. Her mother relocated to California when Elle was five years old and they have stayed there ever since. The only sibling she has is a brother who is younger than her by two years.

A troublemaker was what Elle was in her younger days. It was an act of fun something that Elle could do that would ultimately cause some laughter. In school she was constantly being sent to administration for discipline only to result in getting into more trouble on the way there. It got so bad that her mother pulled her out of school and sent her off to the nearest military academy. One's whose mission was to break them down in order to build them back up as the person they should be. Rock bottom, Elle knew she was there. Her mother had sold their car and took on two extra jobs so she could pay the tuition that Elle needed to stay enrolled there. Elle's family was never a rich one, so for her mother to do this was a huge deal. Complying to the best of her ability after realizing all of this Elle swore she would never be the person that she once was.

She had caused her mother enough trouble and with that Elle left home, voluntarily becoming homeless after finishing high school. Never again would she let herself become a liability to her mother. Whatever she would or could do was no longer be on her mother's shoulders. Friends offered Elle a place to stay and once and awhile she took them up on their offer, but most of the time she liked the freedom of being on her own. In an effort to ease her mother's worry Elle graciously stops by the house to visit, but doesn't stay for long. It didn't take that much time for her to find a job at a local pizza place where she works a few hours a day. If there is one last thing Elle needs to do it is to figure out what she wants to do in the future. A task that is much tougher than Elle thought it would be, but right now Elle is just taking the time to relax and do it bit by bit.

Name: Marco Raines

Age: 20

Gender: Male

Appearance: Described by his mother as a perfect blend between her and his father, Marco could be considered by many as a handsome young fellow with a distinct heritage. His mother is of Mexican American heritage while his father is of African American heritage. Because of his genealogical history, Marco has a caramel skin tone and brown hair that he likes to keep short since wearing it long would be troublesome for him. His hazel eyes are often lost in deep thought but are a wonder to look at like a feline's eyes. Given his athletic background, Marco tends to always keep himself in peak shape; his muscle definition is toned particularly in his upper body. He also has a series of tribal tattoos that venture from his right shoulder down to his forearm, guilty of the tattoo craze that plagued him during his high school years.

Marco's style evolved over time amazingly enough. While in high school, he was a bit lazy with his wardrobe by typically wearing a plain t-shirt and swapping between jeans and khakis of different colors. After graduating high school and receiving a full-time job as a auto-mechanic, Marco garnered a hefty amount of money and was able to upgrade his wardrobe. Now, a typical outfit for Marco would more than likely consist of a button-up dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up, quality jeans or khakis, and either loafers or boots. Marco usually wears a necklace that his father gave him a while back as well.

Personality: Marco, first and foremost, is one of the hardest working guys you will ever meet in your life. He strives for excellence in everything he does whether if it's working on a car that needs repair or making sure that his little sister has everything she needs for the betterment of her future. He's very fatherly in this aspect because Marco has a big heart and he cares about the well-being of those around him particularly his friends and family. Lighthearted and a great sense of humor are two other phrases that people would use to describe Marco. A good laugh is always sure to be had in Marco's presence.

Due to Marco's schedule, one thing that's strange about him is that he doesn't get out much and enjoy life. He's either working at the car shop, in one of his classes (part-time college student), watching over his little sister, or taking care of his sick mother. If Marco does happen to have free time and a friend offers him a night out, Marco will awkwardly decline the offer saying he has other things to do. In reality, Marco's sort of grown comfortable with his lifestyle and has a fear of the unknown. He one day hopes to break this mold but it'll probably take some help for Marco to break out of his shell.

History: Born in the city of angels to a two parent household, life started off fairly enjoyable for Marco Raines. He spent of his youth learning how to play a variety of sports including soccer, football, baseball, and basketball. Marco's mother was an educator for the local high school in his neighborhood while his father was a city renowned police officer who was routinely described as hero for the community. Marco enjoyed the middle-class lifestyle his parents had adopted and grew even more happy when his baby sister, Malina, was born into the family.

Despite his intelligence, Marco was never sure that school was for him. Street knowledge was perhaps his greatest form of knowledge as Marco had great common sense, but he was too lazy to apply the knowledge of the classroom into his textbooks. Something about sitting in one spot all day and doing the same redundant activities in class just didn't pique his interest. Marco loved worked with his hands instead and grew an appreciation for cars around his high school years, He even got hired a job at working the register at an auto parts store his last two years of high school. However, tragedy struck twice during these years. His father was brutally shot in killed on night patrol, an event that scarred the Raines' family household. The shock of her husband's death ultimately led to a depletion of Marco's mother's health to the point where she fell into a coma.

Years passed and now that he heads the Raines household, Marco understands that he must be the big brother that Malina needs in her life. Unlike Marco, Malina has great potential to truly be something in this world and Marco wants to put her in the best position for her to accomplish her dreams, whatever those dreams may be. He continuously sets aside money for her with each check he collects while checking on his mother's condition almost four times a week. Life would appear to be stressful for Marco, but he tries to best to put on a poker face and smile through it all. Sometimes smiling is the best remedy for feeling sad or stressed in his case.

Today, Marco actually works for a local auto repair shop where he works with his hands in fixing up cars. He's making pretty good money, but he doesn't really spend it. He also attends university on a part-time basis. Marco's mother had told him, before she went into a coma, that she wanted him to get a college degree in something so that she would feel comfortable about his future; so, Marco currently takes business related classes. Perhaps he could one day run his own auto repair business and not have to work with his hands so much? Who knows.

Name: Annie "Ian" Helm
Age: 19
Gender: Female, but doesn't care that much
Appearance:

Boyish.

In a word, that is the look of Annie. She didn't get the nickname of Ian for no particular reason. She is an awkward mismatch of gender, and it suits her. Face slightly angular, curves rather non-descript, average height just over five-foot-five, she is neither attractive nor unattractive, barely noticeable unless you happen to look. Her skin is of an olive-tone, so reminiscent of her mother that it hurts. She doesn't notice too much, really. She has a body toned for gymnastics even though she hates being involved in them and calluses on her hands. Her hair is close to medium-length, cut a little haphazardly by parental interference, and wavy strands of black with jagged ends. Under her bangs is a smatter of slowly fading acne.

Annie's most interesting features are her eyes. Pine green, she has central heterochromia in both eyes, making them have a tinge of blue around each pupil. Most of the time they are slightly obscured by her hair, as she wears her hair in a messy splay around her face. For an example, think Haruhi Fujioka without the glasses.

Her clothes are a little big on her, making her look smaller than she is. It's fully intentional, in part out of modesty, and the rest because it's comfortable. A constant companion of hers no matter how hot it gets, is the grey beanie on her head. It's misshapen and patchy, but she really loves being able to tip it over her face like a mysterious stranger. She has a thin jacket that she wears with it, a dark blue that reaches down to her waist. Again, it looks all mysterious! Hahaha! Below that is a white shirt and blue jeans. Yeah, now she sounds really normal, sneakers and all, right?

She can look nice, our Annie. She even goes for skirts once in a while. She does not wear makeup, doesn't know how to even paint her nails. She'd probably chip it anyway. When she does go for nice, it's either a green and black dress or white polo shirt with black dress pants. Very odd to mention, but I figure it's okay. She doesn't look nice all that often after all.

Personality:

From her appearance description, it probably seems like Annie is an unreserved genki girl with everything in the world to keep her perky and excitable, right?

Well... that's right?

While she is usually a cheerful sort, Annie keeps her cheer down to tolerable levels, lest it annoy passerby. Keeping a constant small grin, she might seem like she's mocking a few people, but she's really just being anything she wants to. She is a bit of a carefree sort, who takes seriously what needs to be taken seriously and nothing else. Things that would be big deals, like homework due in a week or the latest girlfriend gossip simply go in one ear and out the other. Annie is often known by her friends for working studiously at a project for two hours one day, and then wasting time on a video game for three hours the next day. It really just depends on what she's thinking about.

She can be a little insensitive. She doesn't really grasp human interaction in the same way as other people, seeing it as this great 3D puzzle she can't see the other side of. She understands that people have feelings and that they should be thought of before opening your big mouth... but that doesn't mean that she actually can do that. So Annie can be horribly honest at the worst of times, and not understand that she hurt someone very badly until five minutes later.

Though she has friends, Annie prefers to be alone or with a couple of them only. Too much interaction for her is not so much unhealthy as it is uncomfortable, and her limited social quota being exceeded results in throwing off her already weird routines off further and usually ends up with her secluding herself in her bedroom with a book or something for a while to get herself back to normal.

Annie is rather smart... though ask her to demonstrate it and you are flat out of luck. She has a very good sense of timing, easily able to catch the rhythm of sounds after listening to it a few times. This isn't all that useful but it does help with cooking and catching general patterns. She can't really show this off, or many other abilities she has. Though she took gymnastics for a long time, she really hates it. Everyone really stares at you when you're up on that beam.

She is still in school because...? Practicality, mostly. It's easier to get a job if you have a college degree and her brother wouldn't let her stay in his apartment if she didn't. In return she covers his walls with coloring book pages and hogs the television. Annie can be a pig sometimes. She loves him though. She loves all of her family. For all of her emotion confusion, Annie is absolutely sure her family is the best thing over, even when they're being a bunch of derps. Yes, derps.

Annie rarely gets angry. Or at least loud screaming angry. She does get into fits of sulking when things go really, really bad, but for the most part she doesn't really get upset. She scolds herself for crying sometimes, but then perks herself right back up. Probably dangerous.

As a final note, Annie loves anything cute. Not so much beautiful, but cute and adorable things get her attention like bacon to a dog. There's a reason she snuck the family cat into the apartment.

History:

Annie's life was so ordinary it hurts.

Apparently she grew up with her father and stepmother, though she's known the woman so long she is just mom. Her brother really cannot stand that, and she does not understand why. Felicity is a bit flakey, but she means well and loves her father so Annie says "screw you Louis!" Affectionately of course.

She was born in Chicago, oddly enough, but has been in the city of angels since toddlerhood, which also might contribute to her brother's constant grouchiness. They moved to Los Angeles after the birth of her little sister Halie. Annie remembers none of this, except being on a plane, which was apparently very scary and very cool. That's a bout all she remembers and all she really cares about from that time. Besides, Los Angeles is apparently warmer than Chicago was. No complaints there!

School was not very exciting. She didn't stand out or slip through the cracks, usually sitting in the library after school for Louis to come get her after whatever he did in his "grown-up classes", as she put it. Despite him being the biggest downer she has ever met, she is probably closer to him than anyone else in her family, likely because while he shakes his head at a lot of things she does, he has always been the person to push her to do these things anyway, such as swim during winter or try to bake pre-made cookies. It kind of works! Sometimes. There has been nothing set on fire that she knows about.

Friendships were hard to come by, what with people easily bored by her nose in a book when she wasn't reading or upset by her candid observations. Eventually a kid named Adam punched her in the nose. People laughed until she punched back. She thought you were supposed to do that and had no clue why the kid started crying and she proceeded to get thrown in the trash can... or, nearly thrown.

Because she had caught the attention of a boy named Gabriel. Or to be more precise, his unassuming twin, who pretty much ordered him to save Annie. Apparently, following this odd saving the day hero moment, the three of them became friends, with the guy she punched, Adam, joining them in third grade. Again, she has terrible memory so has little clue how this happened at all.

When she wasn't in school, or flying off a wooden beam Annie pretty much sat at home and read. She lived with her family, and helped her stepmom raise Halie to be a good Jew, whatever that meant. It was at religious school that she got the Ian nickname.

You see, they had a lot of plays, and without really caring, Annie would always dress up and sign up for the boy roles. Eventually, her fellow students decided she was secretly a boy and started calling her one. Most of the adults were completely apologetic and horrified, but Annie didn't care so her family didn't care. She didn't, and still doesn't, realize that might have been significant.

By the way, the time that a certain high school had to cancel a gymnastics meet because someone put itching powder in the competitors' clothes? Had nothing to do with her. Really, it was Gabriel. She just supplied the powder. Wait, I said it had nothing to do with her, didn't I? Oh well, it did.

Following high school, she went to college. Adam went straight into the military, which, though she was unhappy with it, respected it because he had talked about it since middle school. The twins went to separate colleges from her, with Sammy forcing her to make a Skype because if she didn't "they would probably lose Annie to millions of boys!" Sammy's exact words, that.

For the moment, Annie has no clue what she's doing with her life. She needs a job, but doesn't know if she has the patience to work one. She's in class, but has no clue what her goal is in life. She needs direction towards something... but what?

Been a while since I saw a good Digimon game floating around the web. I was torn between this idea and a thieving hobo, but since you wanted realism I decided to go with the less outlandish option.

Name: Wesley Rosen
Age: 21
Gender: Male

Appearance: Wesley's appearance is both very ordinary and vaguely odd. Neatly trimmed dark brown hair sits atop a head shaped not unlike a box, with its sharp, flat features - not quite gaunt or angular, but not chubby or pronounced either. Below his hairline sit a pair of large, bushy eyebrows of a lighter color than his hair, giving him a vaguely mismatched appearance. As the observer continues down, they find a set of bright blue eyes behind a pair of round glasses with a thin silver frame - he is farsighted without them, and has trouble seeing things up close. His nose, in contrast with the flat shape of the rest of his head and face, shoots out sharply like some manner of beak. Despite Wesley's best efforts, he always seems to have a bit of chin scruff he missed when shaving.

In an effort to maintain a stately and professional demeanor, Wesley prefers to wear plain brown suits, with a white shirt underneath. Even when there is no formal occasion, he finds them neat and simple, and he can't seem to make himself dress casually. The last time Wesley had worn a t-shirt was on vacation with his parents back when he was in high school. Instead, when he wants to wear something different, he cycles through a collection of various ties. Wesley has ties of every color and pattern for any occasion. Tacky red and green Christmas ties, a fake noose for Halloween, black ties, brown ties (brown is his favorite color), black and yellow polka dots on orange ties, and any sort he comes across. Finding and buying new ties is a bit of a hobby for Wesley, in truth.

Personality: Preferring to maintain a professional attitude and appearance, Wesley tends towards stoicism when going about his day. Wesley is a quiet man of simple pleasures. Among Wesley's hobbies are the aforementioned ties, of course, and books. During his free time, Wesley enjoys getting lost in a good novel, reading about great adventures and ominous terrors. He would never want to go on an adventure himself, of course, too much dirt and blood and it would get everywhere, far too much to clean, simply insane the people who went out into the wilderness for no good reason. No, Wesley is content to stay in his boring city and live his boring life in safety and comfort. Thrill-seeking was not high on his to-do list. Another hobby is caring for his house plants, a relatively low maintenance task, though one he has performed diligently for years. Despite the serious presence Wesley likes to put on, he does enjoy conversing and interacting with family and coworkers. Usually he just serves as a silent audience for them to vent or explain their troubles, occasionally offering friendly advice or assistance when he thinks it will help. He is a calm, good-natured man at heart. Very rarely is he ever angry.

History: Wesley's mother was only a teenager when she became pregnant due to poor life choices, and was in no position to care for him. Instead Wesley was put up for adoption. Unlike all the horrible stories one hears about abusive foster parents and unprepared families, Wesley was fortunate enough to find a good, warm home. Adopted by Albert and Audrey Rosen - an electrician and a school librarian, respectively - Wesley grew up cared for and properly educated. The two had been unable to have children of their own due to Audrey being infertile, and so Wesley was considered a blessing in their lives. After Wesley graduated high school, things took a turn for the worse. His mother became ill, and it was diagnosed as cancer. The tumor was treatable, but Wesley was forced to take a job rather than go to college, so that his mother's medical bills could be paid. Young Wesley Rosen found a job as an assistant at a law firm, a fairly good job everything considered. He could have ended up working at MacDonalds flipping burgers. Instead it was filing papers and finding things for his employer. The job helped ease the weight of his father in paying for his mother's treatment, and Wesley's simple lifestyle was not very costly. Once he owned something, he took care of it, so his possessions rarely needed to be replaced. Three years later, after much treatment and struggle, Audrey was on the path to recovering. Wesley was doing fine in his job, however, and he felt little need to go back to school. Without a degree he could never become a practicing lawyer, but he learned much from his employer while working together, and could find work in other areas of law should the need arise. It was around this time that Wesley obtained his first computer. He had not had much interaction with the digital age growing up, being more interested in books and occasionally films. Now, with access to the internet becoming more and more important to work and communication, he needed his own computer (he had moved out of his parents' house and found a small apartment by now). It was nothing special, but he could send and receive emails, and look things up online if he needed to. To be honest, he didn't use it much. With little ambition or drive, Mr. Rosen has continued to live simply... but soon he will be dragged into the adventure he never wanted.

Ludwig is a reedy young fellow, without much physical strength, although he stands around 6'2. He tends to keep his long black hair in a messy fashion. He is normally seen wearing a school uniform composed of a dressy shirt and tie, as seen above, and a pair of jeans so dark that one might mistake them for fancy black pants. Apart from this, he carries a black backpack with him it all times, that has a good book or five in it at single time.

Personality: How does your character act? What does he or she like? Dislike? What are your character's biggest fears? Regrets? Write your character's personality here and make sure that it's as descriptive as possible. Feel free to let it loose!

History: A decent and realistic history without too much unnecessary drama. We can only have so many dead parents, orphaned kids, abused children before we're all crazy. Don't try to make your character stand out entirely too much, but make them unique. A challenge, but possible.
