Looking back at the early pages of this thread.

Those were fun times.

That film didn't take place January 1st, so we've still got time. :P

Flying cars do exist which is cool. Same with hover skateboards. Definitely the repair robot. And certainly the technology for holograms a lot like that one, though it'd require a lot of very specific set up for it to work like that.
...of course, none of these things are readily available to the everyday person, but it's quite fascinating that we've pretty much got that stuff. I'm certain some of these things were created just because of that scene, which is cool in its own way.



...Now, what's the most off is how the visual design of things in that clip still carried the eighties spirit. Looks silly. Too many colours clashing together ineffectively. The 2015 design police gives thumbs down.

Oh and people are looking in front of them and interacting with each other. Extreemly inaccurate.
