Do you ever use non-native Pokemon?

Starting in Diamond and Pearl, GF dropped trade restrictions. What this means is that you're no longer restricted to the Pokemon in that game's Regional Dex; you can trade in whatever you want to use. How often, if ever, do you take advantage of this?

Personally, I don't generally use them. I didn't even use the Event Torchic in X or Ash-Greninja in Moon (both of which are also non-native). I do make exceptions occasionally, though. I don't mind evolving a native Pokemon into a non-native Pokemon, but that's only a thing in HGSS with evolutions such as Misdreavus -> Mismagius. In my first playthrough of HeartGold, I used a Leafeon.

I did this in my last run of AlphaSapphire. Before I started the "second half" of the game (meaning, everything East of Mauville City), I brought in three non-native Pokemon from Sinnoh/Unova/Kalos and finished the rest of the game with them in addition to my starter and two Hoenn Pokemon. Was quite fun.

My boyfriend traded me a shiny perfect Mudkip and a perfect Gardevoir to use in my X playthrough ahahha. God, that Gardevoir didn't obey me for the longest time...

When a game is new and fresh, I try to only use Pokemon native to that region. After my first run through I usually restart and just use whatever.

Native only when it's the first time I play the game. Remake counts like I already did the game.

And Alola form count like a native too.
