Do you speak another language?

I used to be pretty good at Japanese, but when I was there the other month it was painfully obvious that I'd forgotten a lot. Like, not so much that I couldn't even speak, but there were a lot of words I kept blanking on. Very frustrating.

I took French in high school. That's all but disappeared by now. :(

Well, I can read some Spanish. But I can't really speak it well at all, I always forget stuff. -__- I took four years of it, so some of the stuff sticks, but I can't seem to retain all of it. XD

Also, I was considering typing something in Spanish to prove that I could, but then I realized that I would just be making a fool of myself in front of PC's Spanish speakers. SO NEVER MIND. xD

English is my first language, and I started learning French when I was 9. I wouldn't say I'm completely fluent now (stuff like idioms, slang, and expressions are lost on me, still), but I can speak it pretty well. Like, if I were to go to France or Quebec or something, I'd survive. Since I hardly ever speak it during the summer break, I'm a little rusty buuuuut I'm a French major in university so it's kind of important I get it back. :x

I know a lot of basic Welsh from school, but honestly it's very much a dying language. I've learnt a bit of basic French also, mostly from school. I'd like to learn Japanese though.

I am absolutely hopeless at any other language than English. I spent a couple of years being forced to 'learn' French but I never really got anywhere with that, so nope. It's kinda annoying since it'd be pretty cool to be able to speak another language, especially if it was German or Chinese since I have a lot of those people at school, and from what I can gather it looks pretty nice on a university application and all but idk it was never really for me.

Uhm yes. I've been learning Spanish for about five years now, took a few lessons in German, French, Greek, Korean and Italian - I also know a little Thai so I guess I'm a bit more than bilingual :x

I dunno learning things like languages comes really easy to me so yeah thats it really.

Bonjour, j'ai tres faim

Do you speak a language other than your native language? Je parle le francais un peu, et j'aime le francais tres bien!
I speak a little french, and I like the language quite a bit! I'm taking French II Honors, and it's been pretty easy so far.

P.S. I really couldn't think of a good title, so I put "Hello, I'm very hungry" in French. Which is completely true.

Well seeing as though English isn't my primary language, then it would be considered my second language. I'm also learning German in school, and even though it's pretty easy to learn, it isn't optional whether we want to learn it or not.

Speak English and Spanish cuz I have an awesome Spanish teacher :D!

and now im learning Japanesse.
Japanesse
lol

I speak Français (French to you guys!!!) and English. English was the second language I learnt and even though I knew a little of it growing up, when we moved from France to New Zealand it was decided that I should learn English fluently, which was a very wise choice on their behalf. I barely speak Français anymore, though I still can. I just have no need for it apart to converse with my parents, lol.

Aside from English, I took two years of French in high school...which really got me nowhere because the French teacher was horrid. I'm also learning Arabic on my own before I start taking classes here at school for it. I can already read/write it pretty well, so if someone sat there talking VERY SLOW Arabic to me, I could write it and read what I wrote, but I could not tell you what they're talking about. Hence, my need for more classes :D Plus, as an Arabic studies minor, I kind of need those classes.

I took a few years of German when I was still in school, but I am very very rusty because I haven't been practicing it for years. It's a shame, I enjoyed learning the language. :(

When I was practicing, I read and wrote it better than I spoke it, though. Speaking was too immediate for me and I couldn't do it right. Hell, I was living in Germany for a few years but never tried speaking it to anyone because I was so shy about messing up!

Ich spreche Deutsch als Muttersprache und sogar dialektfrei, my English not perfect but I'd still call it fluent, mon Français est médiocre (je vraiment déteste le subjonctif) y yo tambien hablo un poco de Español.
Not enough to be sure if that last part is even grammatically correct though.
