4th Gen Do you still have your starter Pokémon in your party?

In Pearl I kept my Infernape with me everywhere. There was never a time it wasn't in my team. But in Platinum, I choose Piplup and I never even bother to evolve it. Nothing will be as good as my Infernape. I ditched that Piplup as soon as I got a Lapras egg. I should have choose Chimchar !!

I love my Empoleon. Popper always stays in my party. Unless I'm breeding, he's always there.

Yes, I still have my Torterra in my main party (I have six different Pokemon Teams). I can never ditch my starter for another Pokemon. It is not my nature to get rid of my starter, who is just near and dear because it is my first Pokemon I obtain in the game. I will, however, rid of my starter in Pokemon Yellow Version, but that's it.

Apart from Diamond(I bred my starter with Ditto & traded my original starter for the special Shaymin) I keep my starters with me.If you read my note in brackets another note:I replaced the original starter with my Combusken & evolved it.

I keep my starter with me throughout the game. I found that they are very good in-game and so I always kept Torterra in my team. Also Torterra PWNS :D.

Actually i do use it in game and wi-fi battles as well, since Emploeon's massive resistances to many types of pokemon makes it extremely useful. It has saved my ass dozens of times with its combination water/steel typing it is a nice defensive tank and has a pretty big movepool to choose from.

My torterra is in my party, mainly because it's the only lv 100 pokemon which i didn't migrate in diamond. And also i have another starter in diamond, a lv 100 venasaur (migrated)

my empoleon in my diamond was awesome, undeafetead, 3 rare candys, perfect nature, until my friend traded me arceus. one trip into the safarizone with arceus first, and no more save data. in platinum, i traded prinplup for my fave poke which i got from a friend, a level 1 trapinch, now a lv. 100 flygon that PWNS!!!! also infernape kills empoleon, fight-steel empoleon kills torterra water-ground torterra kills infernape ground-fire

While I don't have my Empoleon in my party at all times, I still use him.

It depends on who I'm battling, but I usually enjoy using my Torterra. Especially if it's in a double battle, and I partner it up with my Zapdos. They make a good combination. :)

You can't get rid of your starter in the story, that's like saying, "OK thanks for the Bibarel now go play in the corner..." That's cold.
But for competitive battling definitely get rid of it... sorry Empoleon...

My starter is never my strongest ... however ... the party feels empty without it, kind of symbolic.'

I always pick the grass pokemon starters ... don't think I've picked anything other than them.
