Do you think Legends 2 will be cross platform on the OG switch and the next console?

There's no evidence to show that it'll be cross platform. The new console will possibly be backwards compatible with OG switch cards and servers though. Do you think they'll add exclusive content or qol additions on the newer console's platform and would you want this?

Cross-platform through different versions of the same game? Heavily unlikely. Needed different cartridges for games like Breath of the Wild and Twilight Princess. Is not a problem here.
Creates a packaging dilemma too, assuming Switch 2 to be the official name. Sees people winding up buying the Switch 2 version without realizing.

Ought to be the same game. Feels bad if you get the objectively worse version in terms of content for the same price.

In addition, only releasing a version for the old gen console when the new gen is backwards compatible is how Nintendo's handled similar situations like Black 2 / White 2, which only came out for DS despite the 3DS already having been released at the time.

Stands corrected. Mentioned separate Switch 1 and Switch 2 versions in today's Direct. Should just be a graphics/framerate difference, not content. (Sounded like that, anyways.)
