Thats a Def for me, I cant go a day in school without the word Random being used more than 5 times a day, I mean I am guilt as well, I use it, but not THAT often, y'know.

In terms of polls, NO. In terms of everything else, yes. Random is often used incorrectly as a synonym for strange or unexpected, whereas random actually means "Lacking any definite plan or order or purpose; governed by or depending on chance".

It's the new "cool." Everyone used to use cool alot, now it's random. It'll fade, so I think it's fine.

Eh, not particularly. That is, it is certainly used more than it once was. But, I do not find myself seeing or hearing it enough for me to consider it overused.
