Do you wear glasses?

You and Glasses

I just got my eyes checked today and my optometrist says I do not need glasses. I probably will in the future but for now, my not-so-great right eye doesn't affect my vision when both eyes are focussing on something so she said to only bother with glasses if/when it does. It was a great relief because I don't really want to wear glasses and I could never deal with contacts. I got light-headed just looking at a picture of my eyes one of the machines in the optometrist's office took, nevermind having to touch them everyday. xD;

I wear glasses 24/7 and have for years and years. Since I was 7ish I believe. I've gotten used to it. Wearing contacts would make me paranoid, so I never tried it.

I've worn glasses since I was 6. Before that, I had many friends and all. Now everyone looks at me like I'm a nerd. That's why I'm begging my parents to let me wear contacts.

I wear contacts most of the time, but usually I'll wear glasses about twice a week to give my eyes a rest because I sleep with my contacts in. Also I will wear the glasses when lose my contacts or somethign cause I always change my contacts out on the first of the month...and that way I don't get off schedule, cuase when I run out...they are $50 a box.

I don't wear glasses, nor contacts, nor any eye wear. And what's really strange is that everyone in my family has glasses or contacts. Yes, my siblings and my parents all need something for their eyes.......I'm the only one left without any eye problems.

I don't wear glasses or contact, because my eyes are still perfectly fine.
But I've been told that it won't stay that way for long, but mainly because the one who told me might be probably jealous that my eyes are perfectly fine while that person is wearing glasses.

I did in 3rd grade because I would see like, double or something. But they didn't work and I never wore glasses again.

I don't wear contacts either. According to the people from the DMV, my eyes are fine.

i wore glasses for like 1-2 years, but i got contacts in the beginning of this school year. contacts can be irritating but i still like them better. now i only wear glasses at home.

A lot of people wear glasses here :O

Add me to the queue. I wasn't born with bad vision, in fact it was 20/20 up until I was 10 and developed an eye infection. Nowadays my left eye is much worse than my right (I dunno what it is on the 20/whatever scale, but it's -3.75 compared to -1.75 in my right)

I tried contacts for a while but they're a bugger to put in. I have glasses with purple rims :D

No, however, bad eye sight runs is my family, so eventually I will probably need them in the future.

I'm supposed to wear glasses and everything, but I sat on my old ones and have yet to get new ones. My vision is pretty decent without them though.

My vision's been terrible most of my life, so I've worn glasses since I was 5 or 6.

I prefer glasses because the one time I tried contacts I had a heck of a lot more trouble than I probably should have putting had each time I tried putting them in because of my reflexes, as well as the fact that now my eyes water just thinking about considering contacts again. It's also cheaper and easier just to have a pair of glasses full time in my opinion.

Yeah, I'm myopic (short-sighted), and I have had to wear glasses since I was six. It's pretty bad, I guess, but I can still make my way around without them. I can't read stuff off a whiteboard or anything like that, though, so I need them for school.

I've considered switching to contacts a couple of times, but no. I don't need them. I'm comfortable about being a glasses-wearer, and it's not like they get in my way. Hell, I can even play badminton while wearing them, so what's the point? Coloured contacts would be neat, though; I wouldn't mind having purple eyes every now and again.

I'm supposed to wear glasses for reading, but I don't because now I can't see far away and I can read fine. My vision isn't horrible, but it's not perfect either.
I've worn glasses for about three years now, but I'll have to be getting new ones when my insurance allows it, so after my birthday next month (I went to the eye doctor on my birthday last year). For now, I always sit in the front of the class so I can see the blackboard.

Yes, I have horrible vision. I'm at normal distance from my computer and if I were to take off my glasses I would be completely unable to see the screen. It would be a big blur.

I've had my glasses since second grade if you do get glasses you should insure them.
I've had mine chewed up, bashed to pieces, snapped in half, crushed by a bus, so the usual.
@Bloo milk blackboards still exist?

I got glasses in 7th grade and I like them :) I wear contacts sometimes but 90% of the time i'm in my glasses. I had red frames since 7th grade and I just recently switched to black ones. So yeah, my vision is slightly worse everytime I go to the eye doctor :/ my left eye is worse than my right eye though.

I've had glasses since I was in third grade. I also wear contacts from time to time, which are nice to wear because I look different and sometimes I get reactions out of it (usually out of teachers). It's also nice to have contacts for cosplay reasons, so I'm not cosplaying as someone who doesn't wear glasses and I'm blind and my eyes are all narrow because I'm trying to see. Thus looking silly.
