I really can't decide. All my life, I've been around both, and I currently have a cat on my bed and a dog on my floor.
See, I can't go with the whole thing that "cats are independent" because mine isn't at all. She's crying right now for attention, and the instant I call her over, she's on my lap purring. She's also there to greet me when I come home from anywhere, and she follows me around the house.
It's the same with my dog. So I go around the house with two little white critters following me.
While cats can kill birds.
My dog killed a bird. Jumped right up and snapped its neck. My other dog almost killed a squirrel as well.
I just don't wanna pay 300 bucks for something that's gonna hide under my couch all day
Depends how much attention you give them. I carried my cat around everywhere when she was a kitten, and she doesn't hide under the couch at all. She's always in someone's face, wanting attention. And she's not fat at all.
I also have a pet baby wolf..
Agreeing with Espreon. Are you being serious? Or are you taking care of it until it can go back into the wild? Because if you just took a creature out of the wild and you don't have an idea what you're getting into... I have a coyote/sled dog mix, and she's a wild dog.
You know, after all this, I've decided: Hamsters are the perfect pet. Mine gives me the most love and entertainment in the short few months she's been here, more than any of my other pets combined. *lurves her grumpy hamster very much*
