I have a cat and a dog. Cat's name is Vodka and dog's name is Martini. (laugh) Now, Vodka fat and quite unsocial when there are guests around. Totally the opposite with Martini, she jumps up and down and goes mad whenever there are new people in the room, but, and this is a very big but, she's unbelievably stupid. She's almost six months old and STILL does her business wherever she wants to. And guess who has to clean that up. >_<

So cats ftw. The fact that they need virtually no potty training wins. <33

I like cats, and I own one named Jess.

When I was young, our family owned a cat called Harley. But when my brother was just a baby, it went down the drain... A couple of years later, we got a cat called Smokie, at 5 months, it got hit by a car... A few days later, we got Jess!

My 40th Post!

I really can't decide. All my life, I've been around both, and I currently have a cat on my bed and a dog on my floor.

See, I can't go with the whole thing that "cats are independent" because mine isn't at all. She's crying right now for attention, and the instant I call her over, she's on my lap purring. She's also there to greet me when I come home from anywhere, and she follows me around the house.

It's the same with my dog. So I go around the house with two little white critters following me.

While cats can kill birds.
My dog killed a bird. Jumped right up and snapped its neck. My other dog almost killed a squirrel as well.

I just don't wanna pay 300 bucks for something that's gonna hide under my couch all day
Depends how much attention you give them. I carried my cat around everywhere when she was a kitten, and she doesn't hide under the couch at all. She's always in someone's face, wanting attention. And she's not fat at all.

I also have a pet baby wolf..
Agreeing with Espreon. Are you being serious? Or are you taking care of it until it can go back into the wild? Because if you just took a creature out of the wild and you don't have an idea what you're getting into... I have a coyote/sled dog mix, and she's a wild dog.

You know, after all this, I've decided: Hamsters are the perfect pet. Mine gives me the most love and entertainment in the short few months she's been here, more than any of my other pets combined. *lurves her grumpy hamster very much*

Does anyone else wonder why there isn't a poll? It makes sense.

I'm a cat person. We are so perfect, we have no need to look at all the details. So when we miss things, it is because it was so insignificant to notice....yeah...

Personally, I'm a cat person. I dont mind the playfulness of dogs nor would I refuse a dog if I found one. However I think a cat would be a good companion. People forget that cats can be loyal too. Too bad I'm alergic to cats D:
Anyhow there are positive and negatives to both cats and dogs.
My vote therefore is swung only by allergies. If I owned a pet it'd be a dog.

definately a cat person. i love cats more than dogs because they keep themselves clean, and are very cute animals. they are quite fast animals as well, and dont bite as much as dogs do. usually you will have a mouse tied to a string, then wiggle it and then they come out and play with the mouse. very nice animals, cats.

Actually, I've always had a thing for dogs since I was a kid, though one time I was almost bitten by one, and now I can't decide! Both of them are cute, and are somewhat opposite! Anyway, maybe I'd go for dogs if I wasn't a Leo... ^^

Cats, and I always will love cats no matter what anyone says about dogs. There's my answer, short and sweet. XD

Ah, tis a hard question.
Since I have a dog, I'm leaning more towards the 'I like dogs better' side, although I don't have a cat myself so I can't judge which is better without having a cat myself.
But being an animal lover, I'd say I'd love both equally.

Dogs bug me. They're cute, but agh some of them are just so hyperactive that they get really annoying. I can't tolerate them for long periods of time. :( Cats are more antisocial, though, so not only are they easier to deal with (sort of), but it makes you appreciate when they ARE affectionate 'cause it doesn't happen as often. XD; Long story short, I prefer cats.

I love both, but dogs are usually more playful and lively for longer periods of time. I have two puppies and love them to death.

I love both, but dogs are just a step above in my book. I just find it a lot more fun to play with dogs over cats is all. I have two little pups and they are just full of life and love to play all the time. XD

Cats, because they have the ability to leave you alone, which most dogs seem to lack. Every dog I've ever been around always wants to jump around and play all the time. Cats can entertain themselves when you don't want to mess with them, which I like. If they feel excited and full of energy, they're just as happy playing with a piece of string or something. Dogs are too obsessive for my liking. XD

DOGS DOGS GODS DOGS DOGS DOGS
How can you not like these loyal creatures. So majestic. So powerful. SO COOL.

Cats are like YUK. PUR. HAIRBALL

YUK YUK

DOGS FTW

Dogs 4 sure. dogs are allways there for u ( cuz they allways cheer u up when u need them) but cats i dunno really i love dogs though!:)

I can't decide. Both species has its qualities. Cats can be very affectionate, and low(er) maintenence, dogs can also be highly affectionate and more playful.

Can't decide. I don't like to pick favourites with animals.
