    Remember when Brock worked for Professor Ivy? When Ash and Misty run into him again, he refuses to talk about what happened, implying something terrible may have happened when he helped her out/took care of the house. What do you think it was that happened while he was there, enough to never wanna hear Ivy's name again?
     
    I was actually thinking of making a topic like this the other day since I just got through the orange islands episodes rewatching the anime. Most likely what happened was he got shut down because he was too young. But I think it could have been that he couldn't perform well when it came to doing the y'know. Lol.

    I think that would be child abuse thenxD He probably really just got rejected by her, maybe more than once and thrown out or something like that. Altough Brock is a breeder genius, he can be annoying with his "womanizing" or I don´t know if you can call it that wayxD
     
    I always thought that maybe Brock did something inappropriate with/to Prof. Ivy, causing her to kick him out of her lab, and the subject matter as to what really happened between the two was considered inappropriate for children to find out, thus it wasn't disclosed on the show other than Brock moaning and groaning "That name!"

    I doubt he would have been "womanizing" at that point because he was living with the woman he wanted so there wouldn't be a reason to womanize.

    If the subject matter of why he was kicked out is inappropriate for children to find out then it has to be something adult oriented. It would have to be something that actually happened to and involved Brock. Some people say Professor Ivy may have had something going on with another guy, but I doubt that would have made Brock act the way he does when her name is mentioned.

    I have a couple new ideas as to what may have happened.
    Maybe the assistants were noticing Brock and Ivy spending more time with each other and wanted Ivy back since more time with Brock could mean less time doing pokemon research. And they could have been a little jealous over it too. They could have done something to sabotage Brock and Ivy's relationship. Something like convince Ivy into breaking up with him.

    Or maybe Ivy started not seeing Brock as a man since he was pretty much doing "lady's work" around the house. She could have been interested in him and then after a little bit of time noticed that she didn't want a guy who was a housewife.

    I saw that part in one of the videos I posted talking about this topic. I thought it was funny thinking of her having been a guy. Would have really been a shock to Brock once he saw that extra part. Lol

    True, but he also wanted to stay to learn more about pokemon for his breeding career. So maybe at that point he dropped the womanizing while he was with Ivy.

    I have a new theory. What if professor Ivy was on drugs. I always used to joke at how high she was when I saw her. She has half closed eyes, seems sleepy and always talks quite slow. She could have been smoking marijuana or doing something worse. Perhaps she wanted Brock to try some with her and he didn't want to or she began to get even worse and started doing it more often or began to use harder drugs. I think that could count as a reason Brock would act the way he did when he heard her name.
     
    Lol could all be. That would explain why they never revealed what happenedxD

    This is kinda what I thought too, or Ivy totally treated Brock like a kid or something and embarrassed him somehow. :o
