Yep Tyrogue was really cool, too! I haven't trained one in so long... you get one in a cave, right?

Well Ledian is more defensive than offensive so its harder to use it than other Bug types who have higher attack and special attack (Ariados and Butterfree). But its a good Pokemon, nonetheless!

Catching Mareep early will be a nice touch, I like the set of moves they gave it in DPPt as well.

Mhm... don't you guys hope that it will get Tail Glow?

Did Mereep have Tail glow before?

Anyway, the beginning of the game is really not needed for an abudant array of Pokémon, having some lesser strong Pokémon fits the beginning.

That's true... Beginning game Pokemon have low evolution levels to make it easier for the earlier gyms. And the beginning Pokemon aren't as bad as I thought!

And Mareep never had Tail Glow but it definitely deserves it... Just look at Ampharos's Pokedex Entry! >___<;;

There's a slight chance for mareep to learn it then, as most movesets won't change for Pokémon. Anyway, I always thought that beginning Pokémon early in the game were bad too, but after I saw this and began thinking about it, they really aren't.

Mhm you just need to take the time to level them and they become very good. That's why they are put earlier in the game... so you could put more effort into them.

Pokemon found later could be leveled easier and reach their maximum potential faster, while earlier game Pokemon need time... but they all turn out great at the end.

I have to agree. There are some pokemon that could learn moves that others have but it's all up to Nintendo.

Anyways some pokemon obtainable early in the game would be fine, but it depends on which ones.

I've never understood why Mareep and it's evolution line were so popular...I personally disliked them the moment I caught one and placed in my box next to the never used Dunsparce.

Pichu are way better then mareep
They have the Nocth eared and the Pikachu colored one

I liked Mareep and won't mind catching one if I don't get Elekid soon enough.

As for the typing though, in the early game we shouldn't get to haev so many different types, and just keep it at the basics. More types should be available as the game progresses on.

I think it's so popular because it's one of the first electric type you can catch, so everyone wants it. I just catch it because I need an electric type. And so I use it for that sole purpose. Plus I really don't like Elekid, and it's evolutions that much.

I hate the early game Pokémon, they're always level 2-5 while my starter is like level 8-10, always killing them. D<

but early game types are always the same:Nomal,Flying,Bug,Poison

That's true but maybe in this remake they'll change that up just a bit.

I wouldn't mind having Mareep or Elekid early in the game but it would be unlikely for that to happen.
