"Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise."- Benjamin Franklin
Whether or not your a fan of ol' Ben Frank, you can't deny that there is some validity to his statement, especially when Aristotle backs it up by saying, "It is well to be up before daybreak, for such habits contribute to health, wealth, and wisdom." Many different people have studied sleep and its effect on humans. Most likely, this has been in a search to minimize the amount of sleep needed while also minimizing the amount of production loss--or if possible, increase this factor. People have delved into discovering different sleeping cycles to utilizing other substances such as caffeine or sugar to remain stimulated, and some even creating pills to replace the need to sleep. Still though, many are an advocate of good ol', dream-filled sleep. For that large percentage of people, however, who have trouble getting to sleep, they might not be such a big of fan of this night-time expenditure known as sleep. These people, usually work in the opposite direction of other people and make use of medicines and other things that help aid sleep, rather than oppose it.
->Do you believe in the whole "early to bed, early to rise" philosophy? What about other ideas pertaining to earliness such as "The Early Bird gets the Worm?"
->What time do you usually wake up? Would you consider this early?
->What time do you usually go to bed? Would you consider this early?
->Do you have sleeping issues? How long does it usually take you to fall asleep after you've gone to bed?
->Are you an anti-sleep person? That is, do you drink things like caffeine in order remain stimulated and avoid sleep?
->What techniques or substances, if any, do you use to aid in sleeping? Why?
->Do you dream? A lot? What was your last dream about that you can remember? What about nightmares?
*These questions are meant to help promote a little chat with this, y'all shouldn't be afraid. You don't have to answer them all, yanno.
