Ok. so i was looking at how macho brace gives double but using say, a power bracelet, gives +4 ev's, would it be better to use the bracelts when specifically upping one certain stat?

ex. instead of using macho brace to get double speed stats (fighting zubats) use speed bracelet to get +4?

or is macho brace the best to use ?

is it better to use a certain bracelet to get +4 extra ev's or just use macho bracelt?

i am 100% new to this ev training. i attached the power weight bracelet to my level one lickitung and made him fight a level 28 gastroodon (i switched out to a stronger guy of course). hes now leveled up to 15 and his hp went from 11 to 54 . is that good? hah newbie question.

if i use the lucky egg will i get less EP? if im on like LV 40?

No actually, the Power Items are a better choice.

For example if you get 1 EV
Macho brace would make it 2 (4 with Pokérus) while with the Power Item 5 (10 with Pokérus).

I'm not sure, but I thought the Power Item + Pokerus was the other way around (1*2+4 = 6) Anyway, it's better with the items, except you can only get them in the Battle Tower, I think.

It doesn't matter what you use. The thing is that having a Lucky Egg won't let you hold a Power Item or a Macho Brace. It's your choice, though.

wait shiny umbreon are you sure it only gives six? that means I have to Re-EV train half of my new team -__-

Now, here's where I will explain how the PKRS + Item Combo works.
...
Defeating a Pokemon who gives 1 EV: Power Item + PKRS. The Power Item adds +4 EVs you get from defeating a Pokemon. So if you defeat a Pokemon who gives 1 EV, then add + 4 it's 5 EVs from that single Pokemon. Then you have PKRS, which then doubles the 5 EVs to 10. So by defeating a single Starly, holding the Power Anklet, and having PKRS gives 10 Speed EVs.

Yeah, make up your mind. I've been operating on the bottom assumption for... ever. And, it works for me. I've recieved the Effort Ribbon.

=/ I spent a whole extra half hour EV training counting it as only 6 EV's last night =D oh well.

Training location...

i need a good and possibaly fast place to train my Pupitar to Tyranitar. hes at lvl 50 now, and ive gone to victory road, but he has a tendency to die alot on some of the pokemon. it takes FOREVER to train him there. Tyranitar is the LAST pokemon i need to complete my dex (i know, i could just use rare candies, but ive lvl'ed up all my pokemon by fighting and hes going to be evolved the same way). any ways for me too this faster?

Macho Brace doubles Evs gained right? If I made a Pokemon hold it and gave it a Vitamin, will the Macho Brace double the effect of the Vitamin?

Sorry if this has been asked btw.

do your ev's disappear after fainting?

and are high ev gainage more towards higher levels? it seems like i am getting mostly +4/5 stat but every 10 levels i get like 15 +'s

I'm not sure, but I think it only affects EVs you gain in battle. Anyway, you can only take 10 vitamins (100 EVs). If it did affect, you'd probably be able to take only 5.

1. Obviously not. Just the EVs form the last battle because you didn't win it.
2. If you're training in the same area, your Pokémon will eventually need more Exp. If you keep training with low-level Pokémon, you'll have to battle more Pokémon and thus gain more EVs. There's no difference in the end, though.

Nope, Macho Brace and Pokerus don't effect Vitamins, it takes 10 even with both things on your Pokemon.

I know the best spot to train attack. in twin leaf town at the bottom there is a small body of water in there, there are gyardoses and seakings both give 2 attack ev (you must use super rod) they are the only once there

hey if i ev train speed 4 empoleon will it get less cuz its not known 4 speed?
252 EVs give you 63+ in a stat. You can use it either to abuse a high stat or to level up a low stat.

OK. I'll check that.

I've been EVing my Electabuzz in the cave where regigas was...Sneals & Golbat get speed
About this, I would put it, but I first need the Wild Pokémon from the Snowpoint Temple and their rarities, which I don't have. Anyone?

https://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/ds/file/925601/48628
do a search for regigigas (which will put you at the temple) then scroll up for the rarities

also
i find the best way to HP train is fly to solaceon town, ride your bike down, us VS seeker next to the girl standing at the top of the slippery slope/sand
she has 5 lvl 15ish bidoofs,
1 HP EV each x pkrs x macho = 4

for those that don't like wandering around where bidoofs and OTHER pokemon are
