ok so how do i just raise one stat? im fighting golbats and it has exp share on?
 
ok exp. share doesn't increase the amount the of EV's buts its a good thing to have since its doesn't split them either, you best chance to raising them faster with maximizing the speed is to have it infected with pokerus or give it power anklet.

Its helps to give him 10 carbos first to increase to 100 speed EV's.
 
Well its not the main tool for EV training, unless your raising it lv.1, which you are of course, and since golbat gives you 2 EV's in speed, which mean both of the them that were switch get 2 each.

EXP share works. As long as a Pokemon gets experience points, it also gets EVs.

Gible has a base stat of 42 in speed, so it'll probaby only go up 1 or 2 each time you level up.
 
i dont want to make a new thread. when you look for a nature of a pkmn do you try to get a nature that boosts an already high category. like porygons high special attack for a high special attack nature. or give it a nature that brings down its high stat but raises a weaker category, like defense?

Don't know if this is where you should post that here, but anyway:

You should go for a stat that boosts one of Porygon-Z's higher stats. A Modest nature helps it lots, yet so does a Timid nature. Adamant nature is a real no-no for it. You'll want natures that boost the higher stats of your Pokemon.
 
It's simple:

For example, Blissey are meant to be defensive, so they do need the super upgraded Defense because it's very low.
For a sweeper, you care more about Attack and Speed, so you should up those ones.

You can also divide EVs but it's better to do what I told you.
 
um also on the route 222 Salor Marc has a mantine and a Peliper for s. defence.

I've been EVing my Electabuzz in the cave where regigas was...Sneals & Golbat get speed
 
To get speed easily, go to Eterna. Then head west, where there are 4 fishermen. The 3rd from the left, the 2nd from the right, has 6 Magikarps, that only have Splash. =D

EDIT:: Aw crud. Looks like they found that place. xD Sorry for not noticing before.

Awesome guide, it's helped me alot. Just one question though, if im planning on getting 2 different stats up, once i get one to 63, how will i know? Will i have to calculate? Because i don't want to accidently end up training one stat up 126, haha.
 
Probably it's because you're training with Zubat. They only give 1 Speed EV, against Golbat's 2. Maybe your Pokémon doesn't need too much experience to level up so you don't get many EVs in one level. Also, try the Macho Brace/PokeRus. It doesn't matter. It's the same in the end.

ok.... but when u get 4EV u go up one rite? soooo y dint it work?

Really it's not like you get +8 each level. It depends. Also, it's not because you're doing it bad. IN the end, it will be alright. This helps a lot but you can't see the difference whenever you level up (you see one, but not a big one)

Unless you mean the locations, this guide can be applied to Emerald, too. If you mean the locations, you can try asking in the GBA forum or in Serebii maybe.
