    Talk about your fave male and female characters in anime and manga.
    Try to be a little descriptive and not use this as a thread to merely +1 to your post count. :p

    Uta - Tokyo Ghoul:he's one of the best characters in tg, with him appearing to be good, but he actually does something and in the end his true nature is revealed. he's basically a trash baby (but i still love him c':)

    Makishima Shogo - Psycho-Pass: he's one of the best villians ever written tbh, he takes evil to a whole new level by what he does to the psb

    btw, you should maybe put a possible spoiler warning in the title, i don't rlly want anyone getting spoiled because of what i said about those two trash lords eue

    [PokeCommunity.com] Favorite characters!

    Yusuke Urameshi, otherwise known as the coolest and most badass character in anime. He's number 1 in my list. Not even my childhood biased love of Dragon Ball Z with Future Trunks and Goku can compare to my new found respect for Yu Yu Hakusho and it's leading character (which is another anime I watched as a kid but didn't finish until a year ago).

    Rin in Ao No Exorcist. He's a cutie but on top of that I loved his whole story and how he finally defeated Satan. I preferred him over his twin brother because his brother came off as a stuck up jerk and kind of irritated me in general.

    Since I can't count Minato until all movies are made, my favorite will be Lelou.
    I've always liked anti-hero logical thinking protagonists and since CG is one of my favorite anime, Lelou was an obvious choice. Since talking about him pretty much equals CG spoilers, I will restrain from that.

    And... that would be my old me.

    But... there is only one char now...
    And that is... ONII-SAMA!
    The One True God.
    It's LN influence, but there's just no other f*cking badass protagonist as Onii-sama.
    His OP power, his OP brain, his OP imouto, his OP way of talking... everything is godly.

    As for female characters...
    I think everyone knows that all I need is for char to be voiced by HanaKana =D

    From Fairy tale I really like:

    Erza: Lets face it shes an epic badass, but shes got a softer vulnerable side as well.

    Happy: This Guys a legend hes a Flying Talking cat which is cool in its self, He always comes out with great lines and has a great love hate relationship with Lucy.

    Lucy: She adds great comedy value I think, Shes sort of unpredictable sometimes shes a pushover sometimes she is super strong.

    From Girls und Panzer:

    Mako Reizei: Shes Lazy, moody, sleepy, often isolated from other people, rude and struggles to show her true feelings yet shes highly intelligent, a quick learner and always ready to help the other characters.

    Also I think the Sleeping Knights in Sword Art online II are really cool depide there heart braking situation.

    Mine has definitely got to be Shiroe from Log Horizon. Why? Because when else are you getting a strategist protagonist in a video game setting? With glasses to boot.

    Other favorites would be Katsuragi Keima from The World God only Knows (you need to read/watch it to know how awesome he is) as well as Kagami Juunichirou from Denpa Kyoushi (it's a manga, and for the same reason as Keima. Seriously, read it.)

    Female characters... eh, I got nothing now. Maybe Sinon/Asada Shino from SAO? Can't think of any other faves.

    I can't say just one since I have many, but I'll say the ones that clearly are on the op of my list:

    Enoshima Junko - Danganronpa;
    Hitsugaya Toshiro - Bleach;
    Marika Tachibana - Nisekoi;
    Gray Fullbuster - Fairy Tail;
    Yaya - Machine-doll;

    I don't think anything in there is spoiler-ific. But if you do think something you say might spoil a show for someone, it probably would be a good idea on your part to enclose it in a spoiler tag, right? :p Either way, Uta never grabbed my attention in the anime - he had minuscule screentime, afterall. Shogo is another story, though. He pretty much made Psycho Pass for me. I liked Psycho Pass because it had Shogo (and Kougami too but Shogo > any other PP character).

    Ooh, niiiiice. He's easily one of the best shounen protags I've seen. He's more mature than most and very, very loveable. <3

    Rin in Ao No Exorcist. He's a cutie but on top of that I loved his whole story and how he finally defeated Satan. I preferred him over his twin brother because his brother came off as a stuck up jerk and kind of irritated me in general.

    I agree, haha. I didn't like his brother much either. :p

    Why did I not even need to read through your post to guess almost all of it correctly? Apart from Minato (I didn't know about him), I knew about all your faves. XD; Dat stu is too stronk in TatSTUya, tho. As for HanaKana - she's HanaKana. And you're the biggest HanaKana fanboy ever. XD;

    I like Erza a lot. She's got a great rack.
    Lucy has it too but she's just not likeable as a character for me personally. =p

    Jellal from FT and Kirito from SAO.
    and i love you

    watch moar female-oriented animu, girl. c: I love Shiroe for the same reasons, as well. He's pretty good. :)

    y u no reasons, tho?!

    No though seriously, while its cool that you've at least posted in this thread, I'd really love to hear why you like those characters in particular. Hearing your reasoning would make it a little more fun and discussion-worthy. Otherwise, this thread would be no better than a listing thread, yes? You catching my drift? :p

    I'll post my faves in a while. (b")b

    True, true! My bad! I was just too lazy to write them. :p So here they are:

    Enoshima Junko - Danganronpa: Well that one I won't explain because it would be kind of spoiling the anime.

    Hitsugaya Toshiro - Bleach: I like "genious" characters, I mean he's the youngest captain and he goes all in in all his fights... I mean I hate those characters like "But wait... I still have this power here out of nowhere that is super OP and will turn the result of this fight".

    Marika Tachibana - Nisekoi: Well she's the only one that really tries to impress Raku even if it is with her crazy methods.

    Gray Fullbuster - Fairy Tail: He's calm not like Natsu that is really hyperactive. Also I love Ice type magic (A thing that I also like in Hitsugaya) If i could choose a magic type for my self it would be Ice without doubt.

    Yaya - Machine-doll: You know that kind of character you look and it's love at first sight? You want it to win every fight, you want it to be happy above all the others characters? Well Yaya is that character to me. She's funny, she tries to impress the main character and also she's strong. :p

    Jellal from FT and Kirito from SAO.
    Brilliant choices!

    xD You know me well xD

    Apart from Minato (I didn't know about him),
    Well, he's been my avatar for a long time =D
    I obviously mean Minato Arisato (Makoto Yuki) from Persona, hope you didn't misunderstand that =)

    Sabrina (the Psychic trainer) from none other than the Pokémon anime series!
    I think she's fabulous. I absolutely love how mysterious she is. She's awesome!
    Not to mention, I love psychic Pokémon. They're fantastic.

    Oh my God I'm SOOO in love with Yuki Yuna from Yuki Yuna Is A Hero right now. Actually, she's tied with Fu from the same show as my favs right now. It's airing currently, and is set to end on Christmas Day and I already know right here and now it's going to rip my heart out and eat it.

    But with this animation... I'll let it.

    Spoiler:

    watch moar female-oriented animu, girl. c: I love Shiroe for the same reasons, as well. He's pretty good. :)

    still mad to see that Shiroe claim in the bishie thread lol

    I haven't found anyone to my appeal though. Honestly, Sinon's the closest I could get for a fave so far...

    ...no wait, I thought of one: Akemi Homura. Aside from that one movie we'd all agree not to talk about, she's a cool and a great character. But other than her I can't think of anyone else.

    Hitsugaya Toshiro - Bleach: I like "genious" characters, I mean he's the youngest captain and he goes all in in all his fights... I mean I hate those characters like "But wait... I still have this power here out of nowhere that is super OP and will turn the result of this fight".

    I'm a fan of Hitsugaya as well. In fact, he'll probably be the first one I'll mention when a thread like this pops out, but Shiroe stole that spot since when I first watched Log Horizon.

    My reasons are more or the same as yours. While others get stowed away secret powers or instant power ups, he has to train to get to the point where he is. Sure, there was one exception when he used something powerful up his sleeve, but he did say that he couldn't control it yet (especially since it can hit anyone, even fellow shinigami, so the risk is high), unlike the other characters who had random *** pulls that brought them to victory.

    When it comes to my favorite characters in anime and manga, here are my favorite female characters:

    Yoko Littner from Gurren Lagann. She is very skilled with a rifle, plus she wears a very revealing outfit.
    Asuka Langley Sohryu from Neon Genesis Evangelion. She is great Eva pilot. I also like her skintight plugsuit.
    Kallen Stadtfeld (a.k.a. Kallen Kozuki). She is a very skilled Knightmare Frame pilot. I also recall in one episode she wore a bunnygirl outfit.

    As for my favorite male characters, I admit I am undecided on who my favorites are.

    Orochimaru (Naruto)- I absolutely loved his character for a majority of the series, for the most part he was the embodiment of evil and he did it just for the hell of it too, unlike the Akatsuki whose ultimate goal was peace. I was highly disappointed that he didn't get some kind of closure through death or major character development before the manga ended, he was just released from the Infinite Tsukoyomi and that was it for him. For a character that was such a MAJOR villain for Part 1 and a good 40-50 episodes in Part 2, to get a ending like that was really crappy imo.

    L/Lawliet (Death Note): I originally hated his character when I first watched Death Note, because I originally liked Light's goal, however the more that I re-watched the series, the more I started to like L and the less I liked Light. I like his level of intellect, for him to solve 3000+ (based on the BB Cases Novel, can't remember if it was noted in the anime or manga) cases without him having to show his face even once is just outstanding. His goofiness that he showcased was also a relief for a character like him, it's a relief that he wasn't serious 24/7.

    Judar (Magi): Granted, I'm not caught up with the series, I can still say that Judar is one of my favorites. To be honest though, I can't quite place why I exactly like him though, I'll likely have actual reasons other than "just cause" as I get caught up.

    Grell Sutcliff (Black Butler): This is another one of those characters where I don't have any particular reason as to why I like them, it's just that I do. Granted, I've only watched the anime, so I have no clue how Grell is portrayed in the manga (which I need to read)

    Roy Mustang (Full Metal Alchemist/Brotherhood): I simply like how he's a badass, nothing much to it though.

    I have other favorites, but to name them all and say what I like about them would be too much

    I thought his ending was fitting for his character, much better than somebody killing him or a 180 switch to the good guys.

    I've only seen a limited number of anime. Fewer still have been watched all way through. That said:

    Hideki, (introvert?) as a guy characters first name, has shown up and been interesting as a character.

    Grell Sutcliff (Black Butler): This is another one of those characters where I don't have any particular reason as to why I like them, it's just that I do. Granted, I've only watched the anime, so I have no clue how Grell is portrayed in the manga (which I need to read)

    I think hes an interesting as he is both annoying and amusing at the same time.
    I love how Ciel and Sebastian interact with him and often end up using him to their own advantage.
