Favorite Mid-Staged Starter?

It's pretty close between Wartortle and Grovyle for me, but I'm gonna have to go with Wartortle since he came first.

Hmmm...its' between 2nd Gen, Grovyle and Marshtomp, not Marshtomb (that should be its' signature move, xD). Whilst Grovyle and Marshtomp kick ass....Quilava comes out on top. Just.

Grovyle.

Its fast and one of the only fast pokemon that actually look fast and not like Electrode like a big ball or Raichu, who is fat.

Wartortle. He could very well be my favorite Pokemon period.

I like all the starters in their 1st stage evolution forms, except Croconaw, Combusken and Prinplup.

Yet if I had to chose, I'd pick Marshtomp.

I love Grovyle! It's at that stage when he learns Leaf Blade, which will help me greatly later. I also like Combusken and Quilava, but they are nowhere near Grovyle.

I always liked Ivysaur, it looks pretty awesome. I also like Grovyle, Grotle, Croconaw, Combusken, Marshtomb and Quilava.

Mine has gotta be Combusken. :3 I like the design. :D And Bayleef beause it's cute. <3

Monferno is pure epic. Infernape and Chimchar are blah, so I love Monferno.

I always loved the treecko family so grovyle. BUt next would be wartortle.

My choice is easily Grovyle, purely because of the design. I can't stand Sceptile but Grovyle is a really awesome looking Pokémon.

Grovyle. It's just that awesome. I always choose Treeko as my starter in RSE, so yeah.

Grovyle, pure badassery. Half as badass as Treecko and forty times as badass as Sceptile.

Grovyle. I mean, I also got a lot of love for him from PMD, where I first saw him as the most badass evil guy who wants to destroy the world, but then gained a symphaty for his funny personality.

And, Grovyle's weird PMD moveset : Absorb, Dig, Quick Attack, Leaf Blade.
