Favorite Video Game music track?

Probably the Final Fantasy prologue and the many remixes it has obtained throughout the series.

Kind of hard to choose just one, so I guess I will list a couple of my favorites.

Pretty much all of the Pokemon champion themes

R/B/Y's Gym Battle theme

Overworld Theme for Dragon Quest VIII

Dancing Mad from Final Fantasy VI

To Zanarkand from Final Fantasy X

Rabanastre Theme from Final Fantasy XII

Mirror's Edge, Lost Odyssey, and Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep stand out amongst my personal favorite OSTs nowadays although Final Fantasy X also comes to mind for the sheer nostalgia factor if anything nowadays.

The Uncharted theme is pretty memorable for me.
I guess I didn't really play enough classic games to know much else.

Oh and I can't forget Gold/Silver's gym theme, not the battle music the music that plays when you're just standing in the gym, that stuff was hardcore.

Some of my favorite soundtracks are:
(videos are inside spoiler tags if you want to check some tracks out)

List could literally go on forever and it's impossible to single out one track so I'll just list the ones that immediately come to mind.

Chrono Cross - Star-Stealing Girl

Mother - Fallin' Love

Final Fantasy IX - Assault of the Silver Dragons

Wild ARMs 4 - The Shining Spear Pierces the Darkness

Tales of Destiny 2 - Wheel of Fortune (The only reason I managed to get through the 1 hour final battle, lol)

Secret of Mana - Prophecy ~ Flight Theme 2

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind - Nerevar Rising

Mega Man 8 - Tengu Man's Stage

Mother - Pollyanna

My first Tales game, and I still find myself listening to this track up to now. n_n I actually have loads of favorite tracks from Tales of Phantasia. Listing them all here would make a loooooooooooong post :P

And one from 3rd Gen Pokemon. Gotta love this calming song ^^

There's a bit of noise behind it though. I wanted the original OST, not a remastered one (though both sound equally nice)

Almost all tracks from The World Ends with You are so cool. I hardly ever pay attention to soundtracks, but I'd often find myself booting up the game just to hear It's a Wonderful World. There are too many tracks here to list though lol.

Tough decisionnn. I like so many soundtracks, but if the game isn't immediately on my mind, I usually forget about the music lol. For this topic...I'm going to go with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. From what I understand, this game is at the bottom of the Zelda ranking list. I don't know why. If anything, the music should save it from that. The music in this game is just amazing. Each boss has its own theme and it's...idk how to put it. It gives a much better feel to the battle than when battling any other bosses in previous Zelda games (I'm not sure if Zelda games after TP had different music for each boss...I know Wind Waker did, but imo, they're not that memorable). But aside from boss music, it was delicate and eerie in all the right places. It just works.

Skyward Sword's bosses also had different music, but some shared it with another (Scaldera/Tentalus and Koloktos/Moldorach). But that aside I most definitally I agree, the Twilight Princess Soundtrack is a gem (It's one of my favourite game in the series as well). I would have loved for it to be fully orchetrated. The Twilight Princess Symphonic Movement in the 25th Anniversary concert showed just a glimpse of what is possible. IMO, it's one of the most powerful songs on the bonus CD that came with Skyward Sword.

Armogohma's song is also the source of one of the most hilarious cutscenes in Twilight Princess. |D *que boss defeated music, Link strikes his awesome victory po- Oh, goddess not quite as dead as thought...*

Spoiler:

You might find it odd that I put the credit song in it, but for some reason I quite like the Staff Roll music in all the Zelda games. I don't know why, but for some reason they make me feel melancholic and happy at the same time. Happy, because I beat the game, melancholic, because I want to go back.

Twilight Princess is not the only Zelda game with memorable music to me. Both Ocarina of Time (Gerudo Desert, Song of Storms, Lost Woods (just like Twilight Princess' version) and Skyward Sword (Levias' Battle, Lanayru Desert/Sand Sea, Past at Peace, Gate of Time, Fi's Farewell, The Sky...) have soundtracks worth listening to.

Besides The Legend of Zelda, Ôkami also has a very nice soundtrack. Very ethnic and very powerful.

My favorite video game songs of all time:
1. Final Fantasy V - Clash on the Big Bridge
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CMTXyExkeI
2. Little Nemo: The Dream Master - Mushroom Forest
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMfndWqYseE
3. Wild Arms 2 - Field (The Barren Lands)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMfndWqYseE

I think nostalgia definitely clouds my judgment. I have a strong connection to those songs and I'm not sure if any newer games could bring them down. Not to say new games don't have amazing music, but dangit, my list won't change.

So much to choose from, but one that I still remember to this day is the Zeal Theme from Chrono Trigger. Whenever I hear it, I just get this sudden onrush of memories from the good ol' SNES days.
