The serenade of water from the legend of zelda ocarina of time. I love that song. I also like pretty much anything else from any zelda game. (Except some stuff from twilight.)
 
My favs are in The Smackdown vs. Raw games, all of them. My favs are in 09, however. Egypt Central or somthing like that is my fav band in the game, time to finally youtube them!

No love for the Ace Combat franchise in these parts. A shame, really. "Megalith -Agnus Dei-," "The Unsung War," "Zero," and "The Liberation of Gracemeria" all collectively stomp anything and everything from the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts franchises into the ground. Any of Frank Klepacki's offerings from the Command & Conquer franchise (the first, second, and third iterations of "Hell March" especially) can do the job just as well.

While different from the usual Frank Klepacki stuff, Bill Brown's work on Command & Conquer: Generals was just as good; between China, the GLA, and the USA, there's a whole lot of good music there. Michael Giacchino also did an excellent job on the soundtrack of the first Call of Duty game; the main theme, "Red Square," and "Pegasus Bridge" were especially good. Of course, Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori's work on the score for the Halo trilogy obviously bears mentioning; while there are many variations on the main theme, "Rock Anthem for Saving the World" from Halo: Combat Evolved and "One Final Effort" and "Greatest Journey" from Halo 3 particularly stand out.
 
I'm suprised to see that nobody has even mentioned the soundtrack of the first three Spyro games. I would have to admit, those songs still have me bopping my head. It's got its own feel to it, which is rare in the entire realm of music itself. The composer was brilliant and there's not a single song from those three games I hated. In fact, I sometimes play the game just to hear the music ^_^

Sonic Series (I haven't played a lot of the Sonic games, but I still found a few songs I like. Please don't flame me if I get the game's titles off, I kind of suck at remembering the titles anyways =P)
- White Jungle, Sonic Adventures 2 (you know you like it too, you just won't admit it lol)
- Ugh, I can't remember the level, but it's the one you play as Eggman in the pyramid. I like that theme (Sonic Adventures 2 again)
- Pretty much all of Knuckles's theme songs from SA2
- Hang Castle, Sonic Heroes (yeah, mediocre game, but the song's still a good one)

Other games that I just generally like the soundtrack:
- Okami
- The Paper Mario Series
- The Old School Tetris games (even though there were only like 3 songs, they were an epic 3 songs)
- The Old School Mario/Legend of Zelda themes (as a rule, I typically don't even play the newer ones, but those NES tunes just whip outta my stereo system like a beautiful zephyr of wind... dammit I'm getting poetic again XD)
- THAT FANFARE IT PLAYS WHEN YOU GET A DUCK IN THE ORIGINAL DUCK HUNT. w00t!

I don't play a lot of video games anymore, to be honest. I'll still pick up Pokemon or Golden Sun from time to time, but to be honest, the only game I play much anymore is testing for Jupiter. =P

The Final Fantasy games are the first things I think of when I connect music to games. They're easily identifiable, and most of them are pretty damn epic in their own regard. FFIX has the most memorable music for me, but the various battle/boss themes from FFVI stand out in my head, too. I recently learned how to play "Treno, The City that Never Sleeps" on the piano.

Music from the Sonic games also stands out to me. Now, Jupiter, I must say that I most definitely did NOT like the White Jungle BGM. I preferred the Green Forest ("Won't Stop, Just Go!"). The older themes, specifically Sandopolis I (from S+K) and Chemical Plant (StHII) are some of my personal favorites.
